Chapter 5 Sofia's threats

Ana trembles in fear as she reads those words, staring and it she gasps and looks ways as she is directed into the car by her driver, everything happened so fast, that it takes a while for her to recover, her fingers are still shaking and she recalls the environment around her by the voice of the planner as she repeatedly calls out her name ,

"Ms Marson" her attention is called by the planner, "yes I'm here" she replies shakingly, " are you okay?" She asks Ana as she places her hand over her shoulder, "yes just a little shaken, we would drop you off first so you can continue with preparations," she says to her.

After dropping off the planner she heads back to her hotel and as she walks through the door, she swiftly locks it, relaxing on the door she the shakes her head and falls on the bed, " what have I gotten myself into" she says to herself, after some moments she picks up her laptop to check on any current news from the lawyers and there was still no response from the lawyers. She gets up in frustration and decides to shower, taking off her clothes and tossing it asid. She gets into the shower and starts washing her hair as she unconsciously starts remembering the sound of the gunshot and the writing on the wall. It flashes through her mind and She immediately gasps then turns off the shower and walks out.

She pulls out the dryer and starts drying off her hair then her phone rings out abruptly , she picks it up, it was Armani calling her, she sighs lightly and answers

" Where are you?" he asks immediately without a greeting , she pauses for a moment before responding "I'm at my hotel," she replies stuttering, " my driver will pick you up at a safe place," he tells her but then she nods in disagreement, "No I don't want to leave my hotel I will meet you at the altar tomorrow," she responds in a distraught voice " I'm serious Ana" he demands fiercely, " please Armani I just can't now" she hangs up the phone and falls to her bed tiredly.

She is getting prepared for the ceremony, She looks in the mirror with a deep frown. " Why am I upset, we are already married," she thinks to herself and breathes out . walking down the altar she spots Sofia smiling viciously at her, she instantly knows she had something to do with the ambush yesterday, but she keeps her head on and makes it to the altar.

" Do you Ana Marson take Armani Ortega to be your lawfully wedded husband?" the priest asks, she looks into his eyes and smiles "Yes I do" she replies , "And do you Armani Ortega take Ana Marson to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

He stares into her eyes, it is bright and full of light then he responds " Yes I do", " I pronounce you husband and wife." As the priest says those words she knows it was time to kiss, it is a rather awkward moment but before she knows what was happening , he presses his lips on hers, it was savory, lustful and intoxicating but she loves it, never did she think it would be that enjoyable and as they pull back she looks into his eyes and then they both look away and smile to the crowd.

" You know that I would have punished you if you were someone else yesterday" he tells Ana as they are dancing, she looks up at him and asks " why?"

" you hung up the phone on me, that was disrespectful" he replies,

" Well I'm glad you I wasn't someone else, honestly I was really tired , and I still can't figure out why someone would threaten me that way" she says as she sighs.

" I know it was Sofia , but it's her little games she likes to play, she can't really do more than that, just ignore her, I actually thought it was something serious" he says to her and she looks at him with a slight annoyance,

" you call that nothing serious, she shot a gun in the air and drew a graffiti" Ana yells out a little, he huffs and whispers in her ear " that was nothing compared to what I do to those that hang up calls on me" he chuckles and twirls her then she rolls her eyes,

" It will soon be time for the shooting ceremony" he tells her and her eyes widen in surprise, " what shooting ceremony?" She asks as he walks away.

It is time for a tradition of the mafia, where the bride is expected to shoot her pistol in the air as a show of courage, "Why didn't you tell me about this, I have never held a gun before and I don't think I want to after the trauma of yesterday" she says as she panics,

"It's alright just hold on to the gun firmly and pull the trigger, whatever you do, do not hesitate, that's how you get rid of your enemies, also you wouldn't want Sofia to see you trembling , show her you aren't afraid,"

He whispers in her ears and she nods in understanding and takes a deep breath as she walks to the center boldly and lifts the gun releasing 3 sound bangs then turns to the crowd with a big smile, everyone applauds her as she walks back to his side, she exhales hard then he takes her hand in comfort "You did well" he whispers to her ears.

Ana is standing at the buffet having some snacks then Sofia walks up to her , once Ana spots her ,she hiss and rolls her eyes at her approach, "Lovely party huh" she says to Ana,

Ana sips her champagne and responds to her " I hope you enjoyed it", she picks up a strawberry and responds to her " Yes more than how you would enjoy this marriage, you know I think it's tragic, you don't possibly think you can handle Armani,"

She makes her statement gawking over Her but Ana remains poised and continues eating, " you could have just walked away from all this, I know you married him for your inheritance but now that's sealed so you could disappear and ask for divorce later on" she chuckles as she says to her.

Ana eventually looks at her and raises a brow " Aren't you a little too old for this" she says and shakes her head in disbelief then turns to leave but Sofia holds her wrist back viciously and says to her in a threatening voice " I'm giving you 3 weeks to give this all up and disappear or else that graffiti is just the beginning."
