Chapter 5 I LOST HER

~Tyler~

I ran through the forest, my heart racing with fear and anxiety.

I couldn't lose her, not now, not after everything that had happened between us.

I had to find her, and I have to make things right.

As I ran, I could feel my wolf getting agitated, sensing my distress.

I tried to calm him down, but he was having none of it. He wanted Aurora, and he wanted her now.

He has been very angry with me ever since I was talking to Aurora badly and I could understand that. But I was also in a tight situation because of my relationship with Adrianna.

Everything seems wrong at the right time and right now I don't know how to fix this mess I had created for myself.

No matter how far I ran, I couldn't find her. I searched every inch of the forest, but she was nowhere to be found.

I finally stopped, exhausted and defeated.

I had lost her.

I had driven her away with my stupid words and actions.

I let out a howl of frustration and despair, my wolf echoing my emotions.

We had lost our mate, and we didn't know how to get her back.

As I stood there, feeling hopeless, I heard a voice in my head.

"Alpha, I've found some more information about Aurora Wilson."

It was James, my beta. I had asked him to look into her background, and now he was reporting back to me.

"Oh, no James, why would you report back to me at this moment."

"I'm sorry Alpha, maybe I will wait till you are in a good position then I will review it for you."

"What is it, James?" I asked, trying to keep my emotions in check.

"She's not just a stripper, Alpha," James said.

"She's also a bartender, and she's been working hard to support herself. But there's something else, something that might explain why she's been acting so strange lately."

"What is it?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"It seems that Aurora Wilson is not just any Omega," James said.

"She's the daughter of a former Alpha, and she has a secret that could change everything."

"Wait! What! Are you being serious right now James." I asked him, feeling so surprised by what he just told me right now.

"Yes, Alpha I am. I'm sure with the information I am giving to you right now."

"No, James. This can't be true."

"Aurora Wilson, the daughter of a former Alpha?" I repeated, trying to process this new information.

"How is this possible? Why didn't I know about this?"

"I'm not sure, Alpha," James replied.

"But it seems that her parents' death was not an accident. They were murdered, and Aurora has been hiding in plain sight ever since."

I felt like I had been punched in the gut.

Murdered? Hiding in plain sight? This was too much to take in.

"What does this mean?" I asked James, trying to keep my emotions in check.

"It means that Aurora is not just any Omega," James said.

"She's a potential Alpha, and she has a claim to the throne."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Aurora, the stripper, the bartender, was a potential Alpha? It couldn't be true.

But as I thought about it, it made sense. Her strength, her courage, her determination. She was an Alpha, through and through.

But still, I had doubts about it and I couldn't completely believe every word he said.

The problem I'm facing right now is that I went ahead and rejected my mate and right now my wolf won't talk to me.

He is really pissed off seeing the fact that I rejected her.

I felt a wave of shame wash over me.

I had made a huge mistake, and I didn't know how to fix it.

"James, I need to find her," I said, determined in my voice.

"I need to make things right."

"I agree, Alpha," James said. "But be warned, Aurora is not going to forgive you easily. She's been hurt, and she's been hiding for a long time."

I nodded, knowing that James was right.

I had a long road ahead of me, but I was determined to make things right with Aurora.

I set off towards the forest, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. I was going to find Aurora, and I was going to make her mine this time around.

I don't know exactly what is keeping the guards I had sent to run after Aurora, they haven't found her till now.

No sign of them and no sign of Aurora anywhere.

I continued my search for Aurora, my heart heavy with regret and longing.

I had to find her, and I have to make things right.

My wolf was still silent, still angry with me for rejecting our mate.

As I ran through the forest, I called out to James again.

"James, any sign of her? Any idea where she might be?"

"No, Alpha," James replied.

"But we've got the guards searching the entire forest. We'll find her."

I nodded, trying to stay positive. But the truth was, I was getting worried.

I had never felt this way before, this sense of loss and desperation.

I kept running, my senses on high alert, scanning the forest for any sign of Aurora.

But she was nowhere to be found.

As the sun began to set, I finally stopped, exhausted and defeated.

I had searched every inch of the forest, and I still hadn't found her.

I have been running for hours now because of Aurora.

A girl I bluntly rejected, not wanting to at least try to know more about her.

I let out a howl of frustration, my wolf echoing my emotions.

We had lost our mate, and we didn't know how to get her back.

As I stood there, feeling hopeless, I knew I had to keep searching.

I can't give up now. I had to find Aurora, no matter what it took.

"James, I need you to alert the guards to get back and meet me at the old oak tree," I said, trying to come up with a new plan.

"Yes, Alpha," James replied. "But what's the plan?"

"We'll split up and search the forest again," I said.

"We'll find her, James. I know it."

"She can't really go far like that, she's actually weak at the moment."

I took a deep breath, trying to stay positive. I would find Aurora, and I would make things right. I had to.

As I waited for the guards to return, I couldn't help but think about Aurora's situation.

She was weak, vulnerable, and alone. And I had made it worse by rejecting her.

"James, do you think she's okay?" I asked, feeling a pang of worry.

"I don't know, Alpha," James replied.

"But we'll find out soon enough. The guards should be back any minute now."

I nodded, trying to stay focused.

I had to find Aurora, and I had to make things right.

As I waited, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching.

The guards were back, and they looked worried.

"Alpha, we found her scent," one of the guards said, out of breath.

"It leads to the border road path."

My heart racing, I set off towards the border road path, James and the guards following close behind.

I had to find Aurora, and I had to make things right.

As we arrived at the border road path, I could sense that Aurora had been there.

Her scent was strong, but it was fading.

I followed the scent, my heart pounding in my chest.

But as we reached the end of the path, Aurora was nowhere to be found.

I let out a howl of frustration, my wolf echoing my emotions.

We had lost her again.

"James, I thought we had her," I said, feeling defeated.

"I know, Alpha," James replied.

"But it seems she's more resourceful than we thought. We'll keep searching, we won't give up."

I nodded, determination burning within me.

I would find Aurora, no matter what it took. I would make things right, and I would claim her as my mate.

"But seriously," I turned to face the guards this time around.

"You could sense her scent here, then why didn't you come looking for her immediately," I yelled at the top of my voice while looking at the two guards standing In front of me.

"We wanted to do that Alpha, but you called us back and we couldn't do it again." One of the guards said and I felt he was just giving an unnecessary excuse.

"One of you would have at least gone to check," I said, trying to calm myself down.

I was really very tired, I didn't have the strength to battle words with them at the moment.

"We are so sorry Alpha," They chorus together at the same time.

Now we have lost her and I really don't know what else to do.
