Chapter 2 THE BAD SHOCK

SUSAN'S POINT OF VIEW

I couldn't sleep throughout the night, I tried on numerous outfits to see the one that fits in best, I was determined to look my best for Darcy.

Even though we had no child yet, I was sure this anniversary will be a happy beginning for us, and a baby will come out of today's loving making after the party.

I smiled inwardly at my wild thoughts.

"Thank you, moon goddess," I whispered.

"Thank you for saving my union."

In no time, my makeup was done, and I got dressed in my red gown that was designed like a wedding dress, the only difference was its color. I styled my hair and sprayed my most expensive perfume.

Looking at my image in the mirror I smiled happily, I never knew a day would come when Darcy would want to be identified with me.

I climbed down the stairs slowly, while my maidservant held my gown from behind.

As we got closer to the party hall, I didn't hear the sounds of music as expected.

"Did the party start with us?" I asked, looking back at my maidservant, and she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion too.

I hastened my steps and began to run toward the hall, my gown dangling awkwardly behind me, my maidservant followed submissively.

Reaching the hall, my eyes met with the shock of my life. Jane, my stepsister, and my mate were kissing passionately in the hall, the diamond crown on her head glittering beautifully.

She had been inaugurated as his Luna!

My mouth parted in disbelief and confusion.

Standing in the middle of the hall, everyone looked at me, wondering why I was dressed like a bride.

Shame engulfed me, Darcy is really intentional about disgracing me.

I gave no attention to the crowd of people murmuring different words and insults as I walked towards them.

"Darcy," I called slowly.

"Sister," I called, my voice cracking.

"Sister? No, please, stepsister," Jane replied, giggling and running her fingers through Darcy's beard.

"I'm not a daughter of nobody like you, and I'm definitely not a barren," she added, rubbing her stomach slowly.

Is she pregnant? Is she carrying Darcy's child? Was she the lady in his room yesterday?

Different questions ran through my mind.

"You are here already, too bad you came late, I wanted you to witness the event from the beginning to the end, and see how much I love my Luna," he said, stroking Jane's hair slowly.

"You can't do this to me, you didn't even reject me first, you went ahead to deceive me, and bring me here for public disgrace," I said, weeping bitterly.

"Yes,I wanted to disgrace you publicly because that is the kind of disgrace a barren bastard like you deserves," he replied, with no hint of remorse or shame.

"Darcy, we are each other's mate, the moon goddess made us for each other, and your father blessed our union, I can give you babies, please, don't do this to me," I pleaded shamelessly.

He chuckled and pecked Jane on the cheek.

"I agreed to be your mate because my father wanted you for me, I never loved you, Susan, I never did," his words pierced through my heart, making my heart thump in pain.

"You are just an Omega with no traceable background, a fruit of rape, and a shameless barren, see, Susan, you are too much liability, and you have to leave me for good." he spat disdainfully.

"She causes my mother too much pain, as she looks so much like her rapist father," Jane added.

I glanced back at my mom, and she gave me a stern look.

"Please, Darcy, don't reject me, I have no one to go to," I pleaded again.

I truly had nowhere to go, the family I had wanted nothing to do with me. My mother hated me so much and didn't care to hide it. Her reasons for the deep hatred were numerous, but one of her reasons that sticks in my head was because I looked so much like my dad. She said everything about me reminded her of him.

I wished I could meet my dad and ask him the thousands of questions in my mind.

My mom married a beta wolf who helped her when she was heavily pregnant with me. The beta wolf is Jane's father, and they are all happy that their favorite daughter is mated to an Alpha of a not so bad Pack.

"Darling, reject her, so we can continue with our celebration in peace," Jane said Darcy.

"Yes my love, anything for you," he assured her.

"I, Alpha Darcy Alhadro of the Golden Shadow pack reject you, Susan," he paused, remembering I don't even have a surname as my stepfather has refused to let me bear his name, nor has Darcy ever identified me by his surname.

"Let me rephrase that," he said.

"I, Alpha Darcy Alhadro reject you, Susan, as my mate," As he spoke I sensed a tinge of finality in his voice.

"No, Darcy, please, don't do this to me," I pleaded, shaking my head at him.

"Don't waste our time, little witch, accept the rejection, and exit from our lives for good," my mom's voice spoke from behind.

"I, Susan, accept your rejection, Alpha Darcy Alhadro," I managed to say even though I knew my world was falling apart.

As I stepped out of the hall, I felt our bond and link breaking, the pain taking over my entire senses.

I ran to my room in the main building to cry out my grief, my maid servant followed behind me, but I shut the door in her face as I wanted to be alone.

I cried until I fell asleep and drifted to the dream land.

"Please save me, don't leave me, Susan," Darcy pleaded earnestly.

He was in a deep pit alongside other prisoners, and I was sent to go help them come out.

I helped every other person in the pit to get out, but I left Darcy.

"Please don't leave. Please." he yelled, his voice trailing away as I closed the pit angrily.

The forceful slamming of my door startled me from my scary dream.

Jane and Darcy walked in majestically, glued to each other's body.

"You are still here?" Jane asked surprisingly.

"Was I supposed to fly away like a bird," I replied with annoyance in my tone, standing up from my bed. Darcy's palm met my face with a heavy force and I fell back on the bed.

"Don't you ever, ever in your miserable life talk to my Luna like that," he snapped.

I watched as a smirk escaped Jane's lips in satisfaction.

"Well, since you are still here, and you have nowhere to go to, my love and I have decided to make you an offer," Jane said, smiling at me sheepishly.

"An offer?" I murmured.
