Chapter 3 DARK SECRETS

Chen Xiaox followed Jiang Chen to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. As she watched from a distance, she saw Jiang Chen meet with a group of men dressed in dark suits. They exchanged a briefcase filled with cash and whispered words that Chen Xiaox couldn't understand.

Heart pounding, Chen Xiaox realized that Jiang Chen was involved in something illegal. She knew she had to confront him, but she was afraid of what she might find out.

As she watched Jiang Chen and the men inside the warehouse, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. She knew she had to do something, but she didn't know what.

Finally, she decided to approach the warehouse. As she got closer, she heard muffled voices and the sound of heavy machinery. She hesitated for a moment, but then she pushed open the door and stepped inside.

The warehouse was dark and filled with the smell of dust and decay. She could hear the sound of machinery running in the distance. Cautiously, she made her way deeper into the building.

Suddenly, a door burst open and a group of men emerged. They were armed with clubs and knives. Chen Xiaox turned to run, but it was too late. They cornered her against a wall.

"Who are you?" one of the men demanded.

"I'm just a curious passerby," Chen Xiaox lied, hoping to defuse the situation.

But the men didn't believe her. They grabbed her and dragged her deeper into the warehouse. As they led her through a series of dark, winding corridors, Chen Xiaox began to fear for her life.
