Chapter 3 I Dare You

Mitchell looks up to see Nicholas..Her Crush and James former best friend, her cheeks turned red as she stared without Control but Nicholas wasn't looking at her but at Sandra

Sandra removes her hand like she was burnt and gave Nicholas a resentful look before walking away, her minions behind her

"It's best you stay clear of her" Nicholas says looking at Mitchell who still had her eyes on him, watching him like some love sick bird

"Mitchell" he calls her name and she snaps out of it, she looks down and began playing with her fingers, Nicholas noticed this and touched her shoulder making her flinch

"Are you alright?" He asks and she nods, he smiles and took his hand to her hair Patting it before dropping his hand

"You're cute" he says and winked at her before walking away, Mitchell gasps at this and blushed as she watched Nicholas

James who was watching the whole drama had sadness in his eyes, it all occured to him, her rejections were all for a reason

"Now I get it" he says

"She's in love with Nicholas" he add, saying to himself.. sadly before smiling lightly and walking away

Hazel got home and slumped herself on the chair, Mitchell was in school and her mom was at work since she owned a small flower shop

Hazel phone pinged beside her and she smiles, it was an app, a dating app, she was bored and it came as an advert so she decided to download it...Name of the app was MeetMe (doesn't exist)

She had been chatting with an Unknown person ever since she downloaded it, it was a guy..her user name was DaliDali

💬UNKNOWN: Hi

💬DaliDali: Hey

💬 Unknown; How are you?

💬DaliDali: I'm Alive and breathing, you?

💬 Unknown: Alive and Breathing

💬 Unknown: How was your day?

💬 DaliDali: I met someone today, he was so arrogant, he made me wanna rip out my hair from my skull, he looked like an angel ..I mean he was so hot though he didn't have an expression on his face..just blank

💬 Unknown: So he annoys you and you're attracted to him

💬DaliDali: I..I didn't say I was attracted to him..I I .I just said he looked nice

💬 Unknown: I remember you saying Hot

💬 DaliDali: I..I..let's forget that

Hazel smiled as she chats with this Unknown person whose username was Unknown

Soon enough she sends a last message and drops her phone when he went offline

••••DENS CORPS

Hardin was about dropping his phone when a ping came in, he was only able to see the first letter (D) before he dropped it and focused on his work

DENS CORPS, one of the richest company in New York, it was a company under A Law Court which dealt with Divorce, Marriage (court, etc) Couple Therapy and all related to marriage

Hardin built this company because he watched his Parents go from Marriage to being divorced while young but they still lived together for James and Danny sake..his 2 younger brothers

He never got to know the reason for the divorce so he wanted to know why Couples who promised to stay with each other till the end, divorces after 3 months or more..which was the idea for the company

His Secretary, Brenda entered, her eyes lingered lustfully on him before she strode to him officially with his schedule in her hands, she knew better than to seduce him because his Former Personal Assistant got fired for that

"Speak" he says without looking up, the annoying and loud sound of her heels made him know she was there

"At 1pm, You have a meeting with Mr and Mrs Smith who are planning their wedding, they didn't want anyone else but you Sir"

"At 3pm, you have a meeting with Mr Rogers..his reasons still remain the same Sir" Brenda says that with venom and jealousy

Mr Rogers was a business Partner of Hardin who has been trying to set Hardin up with his Grand daughter Unikey and Hardin always refused but Mr Rogers was hell bent on it

"At 7pm, you have a Business Party to attend, you were invited by Mrs Hailes, She's celebrating her 60th" Brenda says dropping the invitation on the table stylishly showing him the "Bring a Partner" font that was boldly written

*He has no other choice to take me since his PA was fired" Brenda says rejoicing in her head

"Do you have the number of the Young woman that passed the interview?" Hardin asks and Brenda grew confused but answered still

"Yes sir" Brenda says

"Good..Get her a dress..Red and some silver heels and tell her to be ready by 6:30..Tell Yung to pick her up and take her to the Mansion" Hardin says resting his back and turning to face the window

Brenda was speechless as she stared at him, she blinked rapidly to be sure she wasn't hallucinating

"Out Brenda" Hardin says knowing she's still there because the annoying sound of her heels weren't heard

"Yes Sir" Brenda says with gritted teeth and marched out, the sound of her heels louder and more annoying

Hardin turned and looks at the invite, his eyes went to the paper underneath, it was a file containing information about Hazel..Brenda must have dropped it with the invites without knowing

"Hazel Stars" he says reading out her name, his smirk growing as he stared at the picture pinned to the file

"Hazel..Hazel..Hazel"

•••••5PM ≈ STARS APARTMENT

Hazel laid on the Parlor couch, Mitchell had gotten home an hour ago but her mom was yet to be back since she closed 6, the door bell was heard and Hazel was confused

She didn't have friends and her mom closes 6 so who could be at the door, She walked there and opened the door to see a delivery man

"Hazel Stars?" He asks

"Yes?" she says back as a question

"Sign here please" he gave her a booklet and a pen in which she Signed

"Here you go" he handed her a box and she took it confused but before she could ask anything, he was gone

"Okayyy?" She says and closes the door

"Who was that?" Mitchell asks with a bag of chips in her hand

"Is that my...." Hazel noticed her chips in Mitchell hand and was about asking but Mitchell cut her off

" Mystery Box.. Hello" Mitchell says changing the topic

"Who is it from?" Mitchell asks snatching it and dropping it on the couch

"No Name" Hazel answers

Mitchell opens it and gasps, looking at Hazel and at the box

"What is in it?? Dead body? Decapitated Head? A piece of someone's leg? A...." Hazel was cut by Mitchell

"When did you get a rich boyfriend?" She asks and slowly brought out the gown, Hazel gasps and walks to it and also removes the shoes in the box and there laid a piece of paper

"What?" She mutters and picks it, on the front laid a huge font "Dens Corps"

She opens it

"Be ready by 6:30" that was the only thing there and she was confused

"What do they mean by be ready by 6:30?" Mitchell asks snatching the paper and scanning it for any other information or writing

"You better go get dressed then" Mitchell says shrugging and Hazel faces her

"What if it was a kidnapper huh?" Hazel asks and Mitchell shakes her head looking at Hazel like "are you stupid"

"You said you were interviewing in what company again?" Mitchell asks

"Dens Corps" Hazel says and Mitchell showed her the front page and Hazel opens her mouth

"Older but stupid" Mitchell mutters

"What did you say?" Hazel glared

"I said Older but a Cutie" Mitchell says scratching the back of her head, Hazel grabbed a couch pillow and threw it but Mitchell had already ran to her room and the pillow hit the door

••••6:28 ≈ STARS APARTMENT

"Wow" Mitchell says looking at her sister

"How do I look?" Hazel asks twirling

"Edible" Mitchell answers and Hazel faces her with a look like "are you serious"

"What? It will give you a chance to get laid because noone stays a virgin after 20 in this part of the world but you my dear sister broke the record" Mitchell says Patti Hazel shoulder and laughs before entering her room

"Dumbass" Hazel says and looks at herself in the parlor mirror, gawking at her beauty

A car horn was heard and Hazel steps out to see the car in front of her home

"Don't allow anyone inside except mom" she shouts for Mitchell to hear but what she heard was the locking of the front door which confirmed that Mitchell heard

"Are you Miss Stars?" Yung, Hardin driver asks

"Yes" Hazel says nodding

"Thus way ma'am" Yung says and Hazel chuckles and they both entered the car and soon The journey began

"Just Call me Hazel, we look about the same age" Hazel says and Yung smiles at her

"I'm 29" he says and Hazel gasps

"You're 5 years older then but still no difference" She says and Yung laughs

"Keep Laughing Yung and I'mma cut off your mouth" a voice rang from the speaker and Yung remembers that he was on a call with Hardin

"Sorry Sir" Yung says and cuts the call

"Sorry about that" Yung says to Hazel who nods, smiling at him

••••HAILES MANSION

The Car stopped in front of the Mansion and Yung comes out to open the door for Hazel who comes out and gasps looking at the Haight of the Mansion and the Beauty

"You're gasping at this?? you should see Mr Hardin's Mansion...your jaw will drop" Yung says and another car stops in front of the Mansion and Hardin steps out

He looks around and His eyes stopped on Hazel, he scans her body from bottom to top, he walks towards her, Yung bowed at him and walks back to the car

"You clean up well" he says monotonously to Hailey

"Thanks" Hailey says and he nods before they began walking in, Hazel expected a gentleman gesture of him giving her hand to him but Hardin just strolled in front of her, she scoffs and rolls her eyes not knowing she said that out loud

Hardin who hears this smirk

*A Disney Girl* Hardin says and smirks before stopping, Hazel bumps into his back

Hardin stretched out his bent arm, Hazel gasps and looks at him

"Are you holding on or not?" Hardin asks without looking at her, Hazel quickly hooks her arm in his and they began walking in

Hazel gasps at the exquisite and elegant decorations.. everything screamed Money

"Har..Har" Mrs Hailes screams Hardin name and walks to him, hugging him tightly, Mrs Hailes was his Mom's Best Friend from College so they were close..really close..more than he was with his mom

"Hey Mama" Hardin says hugging her back chuckling

"Oh come one, call me Sexy..it's not everyday a young sexy woman like me turns 60" Mrs Hailes says and her eyes met with Hailey

"Good evening Ma'am" She greets respectfully, Mrs Hailes eyes went to Hardin and she wiggled her brow at him

"Well..Well Har...who is this beauty?" Mrs Hailes asks and Hardin sighs knowing what she was doing

"She's my PA" Hardin says and Mrs Hailes sighs disappointed

"Nice to meet you Beautiful..I'm this Handsome Guy Second Mom" Mrs Hailes says and she was telling the truth, When Hardin's Mom and Dad has a fight, they would dump him and James in her house until the fight was over..this was before Danny was born

So She had been his second Mom ever since then

"Oh" Hailey says looking at Hardin who's eyes was everywhere but them, she noticed she was still holding him and let go immediately as if she was burnt

"He might show out that he's harsh, cocky, arrogant and stubborn but he's really soft on the inside if he lets you in..he's really been through a lot so bare with him" Mrs Hailes says to Hazel who was confused and felt like Mrs Hailes was telling her something else but she still nods

"HARDIN!!!" A high screech came and before Hazel could say anything, she was knocked away from Hardin by a body and landed on the ground

"Uni...Get off me" Hardin says pushing her away, Hazel had stood but a pain zoomed through her back, she stretched and sighs out relieved and glared at Unikey, Mr Rogers Granddaughter

Hardin has purposefully brought Hazel because of her, he didn't take Brenda because Unikey knew Brenda as his secretary

"I've missed you" she says kissing his cheeks, leaving wet sloppy kisses on his cheek, Hardin moves back disgusted and cleans in cheeks

"Unikey" Hardin calls warningly

"What?" She says batting those fake lashes of hers and her eyes went to Hazel who stood quietly beside them the whole time, Her eyes scrutinized Hazel in disgust and judgement

"Who's this?" Unikey asks and Hazel was about talking when Unikey spoke again

"Hardin don't tell me you brought one of your sluts to the party, are you trying to ruin your image?" Unikey says and Hazel gasps, anger building in her

"At least you were nice enough to clean her up and get her clothes she's never worn in...." Unikey was cut by Hazel who was come face to face with her

"Complete those words Bitch" Hazel says in anger, her first clenched
