Stealthily he followed the direction on the paper to the address, but as he got there panic unexpectedly gripped him.
"Something isn't right here!"
The music threatened to tear his eardrums. why would snowdrop listen to this kinda music? But that wasn't what ticked him off.
He thought to himself before he remembered that her so called best friend invited her. She having a best friend doesn't sound right, in her last life it was her closest friend who was more like a sister to her that gave up her location to the king's army. Sighing, he opened the door and was surprised to find everyone staring at him, but he didn't falter, he was a prince after all and was used to these kind of attention. He let his eyes roam freely through the crowd until he was able to feel her aura and capture the tendrils of her emotions, they were still strong just as he remembered.
He turned immediately, catching her off guard and held his smile in when he heard her gasp.
The people on the dance floor seemed to part way as he made his way to Cassie.
"Hey princess" Jaxon drawled heavily as Cassie tried not to look him in the eyes.
"Hi prince..." Her voice was husky and shy, seems like he wasn't the only one feeling the sexual tension in the air.
Sparing a glance to the crowd absentmindedly, he turned his attention back to her and grabbed her waist, hugging her tight.
Her body stilled against his sudden touch, she wasn't used to these kind of attention or affection.
"C'mon....it's just for the frat party, no need for the PDA..." She giggled as she tried to pull away but he only tightened his grip on her.
"Party or no party Snowdrop, I belong to you baby!"
He whispered in warning and assurance as he skimmed his hand down her back.
Cassie felt a jolt through her body, she couldn't tell if it was because of his words or his touch. Any one it is, she was glad he was here all in all and that she got to hold him.
Raising her hands, she hugged him back and felt him sigh deeply as if waiting for it. She breathed in his sweet cologne and that tangy bit of pines and honey.
Snuggling closer, she closed her eyes and didn't even bother about the prying eyes that threatened to bury her.
She sure had a lot of questions to answer back at the foster home.
She felt him tense for a bit and frowned pulling away a fraction to meet his eyes with a worried look.
"What's the matter?"
"Something seems off in this place" he answered with his brows tightly furrowed.
They were interrupted by the clearing of throat and the two of them turned in unison to face the intruder.
"Seems like someone isn't going to introduce me?" Kathy's bubbly voice rang out over the loud music as she smiled at Cassie. Turning to face Cassie's partner, she froze.
"It can't be?..." She trailed off as the shock registered deep in her brain.
"Could someone just tell me what the hell is happening?" Cassie yelled over the music as she felt Jaxon's glare throwing daggers at Katherine's direction.
Gathering herself almost immediately, a smile dominated her face, "The universe was Soo considerate in sending you the perfect book boyfriend!" Kathy teased as she avoided eye contacts with Cassie's date.
Why does she seem oddly familiar? Jaxon thought to himself as he quirked his eyebrows at her.
As if readable, she nodded and excused herself as she walked farther into the crowd.
Jaxon was lost in thought as his eyes lingered on her way to long, until he heard a huff.
"Cassidy!"
He called out to her as she raised her gown and marched away angrily.
Jaxon's panic increased as he raced after her but soon got lost too. Rubbing his hands on his face, he looked around and was even annoyed that he chose to come.
Horny teenagers were already making out behind the tv, some pouring whine on the girls and licking it off them.
His chest tightened in pure disgust as he looked away.
He found a way to an empty table and sat down waiting impatiently for her to come back ignoring the blondes that were talking shits to him.
Twenty minutes gone and he stood up and looked around one more time dodging the greedy groping hands expertly.
Until he remembered the look Kathy gave Cassie, it didn't seem right.
As if on cue, he picked up that weird energy and looked up, his eyes clashing against Kathy's as she quickly looked away and tried to walk out.
With long strides, Jaxon caught up with her and grabbed her arm roughly as he pulled her to the side.
"Where's Cassie?"
Katherine frowned as she tried to pull out if his grip as she sneered.
"I'm speaking to you woman!" This time his voice was void of its former warmth but with chill, sending it straight down her spine.
Gulping, she finally looked him in the eyes and regretted it instantly. He assaulted her senses until he squeezed the entire answer he needed out of her and groaned as he held her neck and pinned her tightly to the wall.
"And you call yourself her sooo called best friend?" He questioned and wasn't expecting an answer from her as his emotion got the better of him as he squeezed tighter. The entire room has gone quiet as all eyes were on them. But no one tried to interfere.
He could easily snap her neck off.
Slapping his hand continuously, she gripped his hands and tried to pry his hands away.
Her face was as red as the bloody dress she was wearing. Beetroot.
"H... Hades don't... please!" She whispered as black and white peppered her view.
Jaxon froze and dropped her immediately as he stepped back and stared at her.
Has she gone crazy? Why would she call me that? Jaxon thought as he glared at her in confusion.
Turning around, he picked the closest boy by his collar and smirked as he writhed in his grip.
"Which way is it to the basement?"
With shaky hands the boy pointed to the left direction and was dropped instantly as his whore rushed up to him pulling him to her bosom.
"You wouldn't be able to save her this time Hades, you wouldn't!"
The warning rang loudly in the air as Jaxon ignored her and went off to find Cassie
