Giovanni's POV

When I entered my office here in the restaurant I fell into my swivel chair. Just like yesterday the smiles she had were different. The sadness was obvious on her face. Then he wasn't like that, no matter how insulting, no matter what hurtful words I and his parents let out, he was still able to smile sincerely but now he is not. She's still stupid but I accept the her genuine smile fades away.

I was annoyed earlier when I landed at their station because even though she knew I was there she didn't even pay attention to me which annoyed me. She is still stubborn and I still want to punish her. If it weren't for her, Anika and I would be happy now. If it wasn't for her Anika wouldn't have thought of that thing. Before all that happened - Anika should be with me.

I don't know why I'm still annoyed with Trix even though Anika has already said her reason. Even with Zach I don't know why I'm still disgusted.

'Damn it! Why are you still messing with my mind, Beatrix. "

I thought about what happened especially when Zach told me to find out what happened. I knew that meant something else. What really happened during those three years? I still remember that day when I saw my best friend kiss the woman I love.

"You fool! I'm going to kill you! " In anger I punched Zacharie one after another. I didn't think he would betray me again.

" When I punched him again he grabbed my hand.

He told me seriously before so I knew he wasn't lying but when I heard what Anika said I clenched my fist. Anika also does not tend to lie because she is a kind person.

'Zacharie, how can you say that? I can't believe you..I treat you as a brother but you try to harass me. " I could see the tears forming in Anika's eyes.

"Shit! Van, stop! "

"Sir, sir." I returned to my whim when I saw Beatrix's hand waving in front of me.

"Huh?"

I saw that she sighed, 'sir, I said I went in since you don't answer. You seem to be calling me? " I looked at her from head to toe which she noticed.

"Come with me to lunch," I promised. I was shocked by what I said but I didn't let her notice it.

"P-Pardon?"

'I will not repeat my words Ms. Sanchez. Yes or No. Don't assume too much, I didn't invite you to have a date with me but instead, accompany me to my meeting." I could see the frown on her forehead and seemed to be silent.

"Sir, I'm not assuming because I don't have the right to come with you to lunch because I'm not your secretary."

"Oh." I fell silent because of what she said. She was right, I was stupid in that part. I touched my chin before wondering why I was actually sending her here. I had a lot of questions but didn't seem to want to open my mouth to ask her that.

"Sir, if you have nothing more to say, I will go back to work."

I was left stunned where she had stood earlier since she left. I don't know but I was suddenly annoyed because of how she behaved. For the first time, Giovanni Castillo was rejected by my-ex wife, Beatrix Sanchez. I angrily threw the ballpen at the door while thinking she was there and threw it away.

'Argh! Why would I be annoyed, I don't care if she doesn't want to. She was unlucky so it was only right that she did not come with me. " Annoyed, I stood up in my chair and went out to leave this restaurant to get rid of my bad mood.

'I'm fine, Zach. How are you, are you feeling anything? Does your foot hurt again? " I was shocked to hear Beatrix's voice as I walked down the corridor. 'Ms. Sanchez, as far as I remember I didn't allow anybody to use their phone during work. What are you doing just now? Being irresponsible? " I could see that she was surprised based on how she touched her chest and turned to me.

"S-Sir." She stuttered. She should just be scared, "sir, it's my break time." My eyebrow was raised because of what she said.

"Really?"

"Yes, sir."

'But you're still inside my establishment. Even if you are on break or for whatever reason it is, I don't care. Don't use your phone here, I don't want to have a bad image just because of some irresponsible employee. "

She nodded, "s-sorry sir." I ignored her and went out but I still couldn't get away when I heard her whisper.

"Still not changing, still a jerk as before."

I confronted her where she had turned her back on me and was returning the cell phone to her locker.

"I heard you." I smirk.

"Okay." I was even more annoyed because of her answer again. She didn't answer me like that before. She always teases me that she is the one who is right and will still be tender. It's different now, Van. He has changed because of you.
