"Paul go sit at the table, you do not have to help me here it's just breakfast nothing much alright". Mrs saint nudges her only son to go sit and stop ogling around her.

"Mom I don't want you stressing yourself too much dad's not home, we can just have fruits for breakfast I'm not that hungry uhn".

"No, my baby, the breakfast is a very important food cause it is what you start your day with". Mrs saint lectures her son.

"Yes, yes, ma'am". Paul replies he had obviously heard this lecture way too many times.

"Now go sit while I make something really nice for you".

"NO mom let me assist you ".

"What should we have for breakfast this morning?"

"Scrambled eggs with toasted bread and work really good blood milk tea".

"Okay my baby". Mrs saint with a content smile on her face.

"I'll get the breads the ready".

"You don't have to, I have no idea why you do not just want to sit still and rest other kids would gladly do nothing on their summer vacations".

"Well maybe cause I've been doing nothing but sitting on my backsides all summer, I cannot wait for the holidays to be over".

" Other kids never want the holidays to go by quickly, but you on the other hand cannot wait for it to end".

"Well it's our last year in high school I guess I just want to be done with everything real quick".

"You shouldn't let Aurora hear that I'm sure she would waste no effort in giving you a lengthy lecture why the holidays are so important".

Paul beams with a blush at the mention of his best friend

"I guess you are right , she would roll her eyes and be like paul you really should not be living your life this way , why in the name of the freaking universe would you be wishing the holidays away". Paul says while mimicking Aurora.

"That was a good roleplay paul, you should consider acting".

"If I can act out every character like I can do Aurora then I'd win best actor at every award occasions".

"Well quick question then my baby are you so eager to resume cause you are tired of the summer vacations or so you can see Aurora everyday?". Mrs Saint asks her son with a sly smile on her face.

"Did I get caught?" Paul asks while looking at his mother sheepishly

"Well my dear son, I do not think you could keep a secret to save your own life".

" Well can we not talk about it".

"Okay baby, but my advice for you is, to come out to Aurora don't just keep hiding your feelings and regret it later on".

"Well mom I'm scared that she might not feel the same and it might ruin our friendship, I also have Arianna to think of, I just don't want to jeopardize what we have cause of my own selfish feelings".

Paul obviously had thought about this several times he looked so burdened and bothered by just the thought.

"That is quite thoughtful of you son but can I tell you that it is not selfish to be in love with someone, 8f anything it's the most ucontrollable thing in the world, you cannot control how you feel alright".

"Okay let's stop here , I don't know how we got to discussing my crush".

"Whatever you want boy".

"Mom, what college would you have me attend".

"Well son you should know better that I would never make a choice for you, I however cannot say the same about your father cause while he leaves you to yourself most times I believe he would want to interfere this time college is a very important decision".

"That is to humans, it is not to us, after all this generational accumulated wealth I'm sure we do not need my college certificates for anything".

"Really, then why do you always make sure to come out top of the entire school everytime".

"Well you know I don't even have to try those humans cannot compare to my capabilities and intellectual quotence in anyway so it's not that I make sure just that it'd be embarrassing if I am being ruled by a human and by the ways I don't even have to try you know that".

" Well that's the exact same reason your dad would want to choose your college, you both love to be on top and keep up no matter where you are it's that pride".

" Breakfast is ready son, enough of talks".

" Alright, I'll get the blood milk".

"You know mom I was thinking-".

"What is it?"

"It's been a while we paid try Salvatores a visit, I miss aunty and brother Damon already".

"Oh my God, paul really, are you sure that thought just popped into your head now or it has been giving you sleepless nights and you were only waiting for a right time to bring it up".

"Okay I give up trying you're just going to keep finding me out, I wanna go see Aurora".

"Well, I wouldn't agree to you going there-".

"Why mom"?

"-unannounced". Mrs Saint bursts into a fit of laughter.

"Mom that was bad".

"Well it's not my fault you weren't calm and interrupted me , why don't you dial the salvatores home and let them know you would be coming over'.

"You don't want to tag along mom".

"I'm afraid if I do you wouldn't be able to play freely with your little love, so no I'm leaving you alone, plus I want to run some errands and drop lunch for your dad at his office".

"Okay mom".

Paul jumps right off the chair

"Where are you going?"

"To call the salvatores home".

"Sit back down and finish your food, else forget about seeing Aurora you wouldn't even be seeing the sun outside this house till your holidays are over".

"Fine mom , I'm eating, I am".

"There I'm done can I go make the call now".

"I am definite I have never seen you gobble food down like that, some minutes ago you were all mama now you are abandoning me for your little love".

"No mama, you know I love you alright, but we spent all summer together plus, you are going over to Papa's office too aren't you"?

Paul looks at his mama with the corner of his eyes gauging her reaction fully aware she isn't actually angry and is just pulling his legs.

"Go call the salvatores son, you look like you would pass out if you had to spend another minute standing there".

He races over to the receiver, obviously already so anxious, the phone is picked up at the first ring

At the other end of the receiver

"Hello, this is the Salvatore's home phone and this is their youngest daughter Aurora who might you be

"Aurora this is paul, how are you, how is aunty, uhm I called to ask if you were home today and it Is alright to come visiting, I thought I'd come say hi to aunty before the holidays are over and -".

"Hold your high horses boy, you kept blabbing on and I couldn't even pick a single thing out of it, so you might want to calm down and repeat yourself so we can both understand this conversation".

"I'm sorry Aurora I guess I was too excited".

"It is alright, so you were saying something about visiting".

"Yeah , I thought I'd come say hi to aunty before the holidays were over and called to see if she is home ".

"Okay, weird you called mom was asking after you today after breakfast, well you're highly welcome whenever you want to come".

"How about this afternoon".

"Really? Well it's fine by me and I don't think mom is going anywhere either".

"Okay, I'll tell my mom now , I should be there before 2pm".

"Okay is aunty also coming along?"

"No she's not she'll be paying my dad a visit at his office so she cannot".

"Okay, would you please call at the melville's home and get Arianna when you're coming, my mom had asked after you both, so I think it's better you come together".

"No problem we'll be with you soon".

"Okay, thanks Paul, say my greetings to aunty I miss her and wish she was coming along, See you soon".

Paul puts down the receiver and rushes over to give his mom a kiss on the cheeks.

"If you are done being overjoyed that you're seeing your crush would you help me pack this plates to the kitchen".

"I would even help you do the dishes mom".

"Really, do you still have that much time to spare".

"Of course mom, but what would you propose I wear, I don't want to wear just anything there, plus I should get aunty something. What do you think I should get fruits, flowers-"

" Well I say calm down first and when we're done washing the dishes we'll pick out an outfit and I'll help you pick a befitting gift uhn, I should also send something to her it's been a while we've met".

"Okay mom, anything you say".
