Chapter 2 Eloped

Upon noticing a potential way to escape, Felix desperately attempted to pull himself out of the situation. However, just as he thought he might break free, he was shot in his second leg, causing Michelle to scream in horror, tears streaming down her face.

"Stop!" she shouted, her voice filled with panic, as Kiara found herself caught in a moral dilemma.

Her best friend was right there, and she felt utterly confused about what actions to take. The haunting warnings from Doona echoed in her mind, making her feel even more frightened. She remembered the chilling phrase, "Never leave anyone alive."

Suddenly, Michelle broke the silence, her voice shaky as she questioned, "Wait, is this really what you do?" Kiara's response was to point a gun in Michelle's direction, her expression stern and unyielding.

"Don't you dare question my authority; I have control over your life right now," she articulated slowly, which only ignited Michelle's anger further, prompting her to scoff in disgust.

Michelle then began to scream loudly, hoping to attract the neighbors' attention. When Kiara realized her intentions, panic surged through her, and she immediately shot Felix multiple times in the head, which left Michelle utterly frozen in shock at the horrifying sight.

The sirens of approaching police cars pierced the air, causing Kiara to turn her gun towards Michelle, who instinctively took a step back, fear evident on her face.

"Please, don't hurt me! I swear I won't..." Her plea was abruptly cut short as she felt a bullet strike her own head, collapsing silently to the ground.

In a flash, Kiara escaped through the apartment window, hastily putting on her helmet. She hopped onto her powerful motorcycle and sped away from the chaos she had just created.

In a tense moment, she firmly rejected Scott's marriage proposal, accusing him of being responsible for the tragic deaths of her parents. He threatened her with the dire consequences that would follow if she disobeyed his commands, leaving her feeling even more trapped as he smirked smugly before exiting the room.

"Mum!" she called out, her voice trembling with disbelief. Yet, Scott's cold tone snapped her back to the harsh reality, igniting a fierce anger within her.

"I relish that feeling," he grinned widely, presenting her with a formally written document that seemed to captivate her interest as she read through the details.

"Absolutely not! I will never marry a monster like you!" she shouted vehemently, her body trembling with rage as she threw the papers at him. Scott stood up, his fury unmistakable.

"Go through my rules carefully, and don't you dare disobey them, or you will endure severe torture," he warned her ominously before walking away with a disdainful smirk.

An elderly woman named Agnes approached Rinalisa with a calm smile.

"What would you like to eat, young lady? The boss instructed me to prepare something special for you," Agnes, the only chef in Scott's penthouse, kindly offered. Rinalisa lowered her gaze, tears spilling down her cheeks.

"She's planning to betray her sister bit by bit. I refuse to suffer for her mistakes!" she thought resolutely, bitterness bubbling inside her.

"You will fall tonight, Kiara," Rinalisa murmured in quiet despair, while Agnes only watched in silence.

"Your room is right upstairs, three doors down from the Master's room," Agnes explained, to which Rinalisa nodded, a feeble smile on her face as she walked away.

"You did great, Kiara!" Doona cheered, excitement radiating from her as she embraced Kiara. However, Kiara's expression betrayed a deep sense of turmoil.

"I killed my best friend," she said in a panicked tone, causing Doona to roll her eyes in frustration.

"You don't need to feel guilty. I can't believe that fool had the nerve to threaten me. How could he have dared to..." Doona began, only to realize something important.

"He barged in right after I had an argument with my sons," she recalled, glancing at Kiara who stood before her, apprehensive.

"I have something troubling me lately," Kiara spoke up, her voice shaky. "What if Rinalisa tells Scott everything?" This realization hit Doona hard-Rinalisa was still alive.

"Oh no! I would be ruined if she spills anything! But don't worry, I have a plan. Just keep your face hidden; you don't look anything like her," Doona smirked confidently, just then, a familiar figure walked into the room.

"Richard, glad to see you!" Doona exclaimed with delight as she watched her son approach them.

Richard Levi, a 25-year-old billionaire and stepbrother to Scott, didn't wear a smile as he walked closer to Doona. Kiara couldn't help but smile and toss her hair back, but Doona rolled her eyes at the same time.

"Is it true that you killed Scott's mother?" he shouted, making Doona flinch slightly, caught off guard by his intensity.

She signaled for Kiara to leave as she faced her angry son.

"I did it for our sake! And stop yelling at me as if you're not relieved she's gone," Doona scoffed, her own anger rising.

"Relieved! I told you not to harm her! If you hadn't, our father wouldn't be dead!" he roared again, pushing her anger to its peak and leading her to slap him across the face.

"I've warned you countless times never to blame me for Bruno's death! That bastard hit his father! Not me!" she retaliated, her teeth clenched in fury.

"You just awakened the devil within Scott, you know! If he finds out you killed his mother, it will be your end," Richard warned her as he stormed out of the room.

"What a fool! Good thing my involvement in the deaths won't lead back to me," she sighed in relief before angrily retreating to her room.

"Where is she?" Olivia exclaimed, stamping her feet, her frustration evident. The sight of Bella made her smile momentarily as she rushed toward her.

"I hope you didn't come back empty-handed," Olivia frowned, noting Bella's disheveled appearance.

"Sadly, I have the money you always wanted, and I endured humiliation from the neighbors for it," she said, tossing a bundle of cash at her mother.

"How could you do this? Why do you always behave like your worthless father, doing anything to get what you desire?" Olivia scolded her furiously.

"I'm not desperate or greedy!" Bella yelled back, only to receive a slap across her face.

"Don't raise your voice at me! I'm still your mother. Now, get ready for school," Olivia instructed coldly before walking away.

Rinalisa hesitated to leave her cozy bed, but the persistent blare of her alarm clock eventually jolted her awake.

She quickly got out of bed and dashed into the living room, only to find it completely empty.

"Where's Scott?" she asked Agnes, who approached her.

"Master just left and won't be back until late," Agnes informed her, her expression serious.

Despite her bruises and aches, Rinalisa managed to look beautiful after her shower.

At Doona's jewelry store, the employees welcomed her respectfully as she made her entrance. Doona was elegantly dressed in a floral gown and high heels, her hair cascading freely down her back.

"Mr. Denies is waiting for you in your office, ma'am," Susan, the manager, informed her, and Doona smiled before heading in.

"You still look stunningly sexy at fifty," Mr. Denies complimented her, greeting her with a kiss on the lips.

"How is my son doing?" he inquired next, causing her to quickly urge him to be quiet.

"Lower your voice! We're the only ones here! Why are you so bothered that he's my son and not Bruno's?" Denies smirked, while Doona forced a smile, making her way to her chair.

"Have you talked to the others about our situation?" she asked, prompting a smirk from Denies.

"You seem far from a grieving widow," he pointed out, met with a fierce glare from her.

"Just give me a direct answer; I'm not in the mood for games," she insisted as he approached her. Just then, her phone rang, breaking the tense atmosphere.

Her heart lifted upon seeing the caller's ID before she picked up the phone. Denies gave her a suspicious look as she ended the call.

"What scheme are you plotting now, Doona?" he questioned sharply.

Meanwhile, Rinalisa waited anxiously on the grand sofa for Scott's return. However, as evening arrived with no sign of him, she succumbed to despair and retreated to her room.

The sound of a car pulling into the driveway startled her, prompting her to rush downstairs, only to find Scott walking in with a woman by his side.

"You've returned," she greeted him with a weak smile while casting a disapproving glance at the woman next to him.

Rinalisa's discontent was clear; she felt the lady was more of a seductress than a friend, smirking as she stepped closer.

"I've heard many rumors about you, murderer," she taunted, as Rinalisa shot Scott a cold stare.

"I have something important to discuss," she stated, but he ignored her, wrapping his arms around the lady instead, leaving Rinalisa feeling abandoned.

She chuckled sadly, wiping away her tears, heartbroken over the situation.

Suddenly, a loud commotion echoed through the mansion as someone rushed to Scott's door, breathlessly shouting, "Master, Madam has fled..."
