Diana was the perfect woman for me, sexy and ambitious, with the right connections to help me pull off my ploy to sell off my family's company.
" Good morning" My little wife greeted me, as she opened her eyes slowly.
"What happened yesterday shouldn't repeat itself again" I warned her, with a cold hard stare.
" Okay" She shivered.
"How did I get here?" she asked, her voice trembling as she looked at me, her eyes filled with confusion and fear.
"My guards brought you here. You're meant to be here, I own you my little wife" I stated with a stern expression that made it obvious I wasn't playing games.
"Why do you always treat me so harshly?"
She sobbed.
Tears suddenly streamed down her cheeks, but I was not moved by that.
There was a light knock at the door.
" Who's that?" I asked.
" It's Ana sir, Breakfast is ready and served". The housekeeper replied cautiously.
" Okay"
Taking my wife's hand in mine, I led her downstairs quietly.
"When did you get a housekeeper?" my wife asked in surprise,
" Keep it shut" I scoffed.
She didn't utter a word during and after breakfast, just like I wanted.
From now on, those bodyguards will follow you wherever you go to ensure your safety. I said, wiping my mouth with the napkin.
" I don't need them," My little wife muttered.
"Do as I say, don't test my patience," I warned coldly, my gaze like ice.
My little wife fell silent, like a small bird drenched in a downpour.
My white Italian suit, tailored by the best designer in the country, was a perfect match for my gleaming white Bugatti, parked outside in a shimmering display of elegance.
The Bugatti, the newest addition to my collection of supercars, roared to life with a powerful rev of its W16 engine, as I cruised out of my luxurious mansion's driveway.
My phone beeped,
" Don't forget the meeting with my Dad by noon, my love"
Diana texted, she was a faithful companion and was supportive of my business goals.
"I won't baby" I texted back, wearing a smile on my face.
Stepping into the company's impressive multi-story complex, I was greeted with warm smiles from the employees. The exclusive doors of my personal elevator slid open, ushering me into my pristine white office.
In a few days, I'll have what I so desire. The clock was ticking, but I bided my time, ready to exact my revenge on my father.
My day proceeded smoothly, and at eleven o'clock, I left the office on time for my meeting with Diana's father, Don Juan, at the Golden Atlantic Hotel.
****
I arrived at the Golden Atlantic Hotel and took in the beautiful and discreet surroundings, which was perfect for my important meeting with Don Juan. The lobby was luxurious, with chandeliers and elegant furniture.
Seated comfortably in one of the chic lobby chairs, I allowed my eyes to wander, taking in the hotel's splendor.
Soon, a stout gentleman approached, inquiring in a pleasant tone,
"Mr. Allen, I presume?"
" You're correct," I responded.
"Okay sir. If you'll kindly follow me, Don Juan is expecting you," he said, motioning for me to follow.
As the stout man pushed open the door to the meeting room, Don Juan rose from his seat to greet me, his eyes shining with a shrewd intelligence.
"Welcome, Mr. Allen, have a seat" He made a gesture with his hands.
I nodded with a calm look as I seated comfortably.
" Diana, my daughter has told me impressive things about you," Don Juan continued.
" We are good business partners. '' I stated, with a smile.
Don Juan's gaze lingered on me for a moment before he pressed forward,
" Name your price Mr Allen"
" $500 billion" I responded calmly.
His booming laughter filled the room, and I felt a prick of embarrassment at being seemingly mocked. Still, I kept my composure.
" Why do you undervalue your father's company? I'll give you a trillion dollars"
I was totally surprised. Don Juan was willing to pay double the amount I offered.
"It's settled then," I announced, extending my hand. Don Juan eagerly reciprocated, sealing the deal with a firm handshake.
Raising our glasses, we toasted to a good business deal.
"Make sure the paperwork is prepared and sent to me, Mr. Allen," Don Juan said with a smile, his face beaming with satisfaction.
" I'll be in touch Don Juan" I replied as we shared a mutual handshake.
"One of the men in black escorted me back to the lobby, where I was met with a shocking surprise."
I froze, unable to breathe for a moment, as I stood face-to-face with my own blood, my twin brother, a stranger in all but DNA and family name, his warm smile taunted me.
"Mr. Allen," the stout man called out, his loud voice interrupted my thoughts.
Turning to face the stout elderly man, I accepted the fancy envelope he handed over to me.
"Don Juan sends his regards," he said, before bidding me farewell with a creased smile.
As I glanced down at the envelope and looked up, my estranged twin vanished into thin air in a split second.
Suspecting that my father knew of my twin brother's return, I quickly made up my mind to confirm if my gut feeling was true.
There had to be a reason for Jason's sudden appearance, and I was determined to find out what it was.
The buzzing of my phone abruptly interrupted my thoughts, and an incoming call from Dalia appeared on my screen.
I picked up the call, only to be met with her shaky voice filled with despair.
"Allen, Father collapsed! We're at St. Jude's Hospital, please come quickly," she pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion.
"Dalia, don't worry, I'm on my way," I reassured her, my mind spinning with questions.
What could make a man as strong and powerful as my father Collapse?
Was he sick all this while and hid it from us?
