CHAPTER SIX

SOPHIA'S POV

Lucas cleared his throat and returned to his seat like he wasn't doing anything or saying anything wrong.

Thomas and Bradley took their seat and then stared at us.

"So, is it settled?" Bradley asked.

The displeasure written on Lucas face wss enough to fuel my decision of staying in the house.

"Oh, yes, it's settled. I will return back to the mansion" I crossed my legs and smiled at them.

"Well, I am not in support of it" Lucas said vehemently.

"Since we are still married, I have every right to be in that house" I said and this time it was turn to smile like I won the lottery.

"Fine then" he said. "If of course you can stay and not run away with your tail in between your legs then I have no problem"

He sounded victorious already, he thinks I wouldn't stay if he tries to talk me out of it but I was prepared for him.

"I am not a coward like you and I should repeat my statement again. I. Am. Staying." I said and with that, I stormed out of the place in anger. Does he think that he is smart and manipulative? If he thinks I am going to be that docile woman he knew before then he is in for a surprise.

Well, I did chose to stay in the house but I never promised to be good.

I walked fast and I heard the sound of Thomas footstep behind me, I walked out of the office and into my waiting vehicle.

"Goddamit! I wish you didn't come up with this idea Thomas, I fucking hate him!" I yelled out my frustration as soon as the door of the car was closed.

"I'm sorry I couldn't come up with anything, Sophia" Thomas said.

"No need to apologize." I closed my eyes and laid my back to the chair and waved my hand at him.

"You were only trying to help, thanks Thomas" I said. Thomas was only trying to help me and venting my anger st him wouldn't be nice, the person who should be at the receiving end of my anger should be Lucas.

"I will try my best to see if there would be any other way aside from staying in the house" he said.

"Thanks, Thomas" I said gratefully.

"By the way, what were you discussing with Bradley, or should I say, why did you go out with Bradley?" I asked.

"Oh that, I only wanted to provide privacy for you and Lucas to discuss" he said and I rolled my eyes.

"It wouldn't have mattered if you had stayed, we didn't do much of a discussion anyways" I said.

"I wasn't aware about that" he said.

We sat quietly in the car as the driver drove us to Lucas mansion.

"What is going to be next?" I asked breaking the silence.

"Bond with the kids, it will be easy for you" he said and I nodded.

I intend to bond with my little darlings and i would, Lucas wouldnt know what would hit him, he would regret the day he chose to underestimate me.

I sighed and focus on the road while my head was still laid on the head rest of the chair.

I imagine the re union with my kids, I can't wait to see them. It has been long, I miss them so much.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Argh! I fucking hate her" the lady exclaimed in annoyance as she turned the television off.

"What's the problem?" Her friend who had been seating with her and had excused herself to get a drink from the kitchen wss surprised to see her friend she had left in a cheery mood now having anger written on her face.

"It's Sophia, she's back" the lady exclaimed.

"After everything I had done to make her leave Lucas. I thought I had succeeded and now she's back" the lady said frustratingly.

"Lucas doesn't love you, stop forcing yourself on him" her friend advised which pissed her off.

"You don't even have a boyfriend and you would be single all your life but that isn't what I want okay, I don't want to end up like you, I mean look at you, you are lonely and have no one in your life" the lady vented in anger.

The other angrily left the living room almost in tears as she ran away to her room.
