Chapter 4 4

His gaze was filled with admiration as Javier gazed at the waterfall. While it was raining, several shades of aquamarine were scattered throughout the tiny body of water in a peaceful manner. The sound of it hitting the surface was filled with tranquility, and the droplets formed a symphony of peace as they fell to the ground.

As a matter of fact, the Falls of Dreamstream were intended to facilitate the healing process.

It was Dexter who arranged for Felicia to pull Dwain in front of it so that she could take photographs of him. The expression on her son's face formed into a look of covert irritation. The other family took their own photographs and shared them on social media in order to flaunt their extravagant trip to the rest of the social media community.

During the time that Carlene was facing a tree trunk with her eyes closed and counting down from thirty in preparation for a game of hide and seek, the atmosphere was loaded with emotion and sentimentality.

The girl with the blue hair moaned, "Why do I always have to be it?" as she made her way to the lagoon in order to grab a small bubble. All of the different kinds of plants and animals laughed together.

A voice laughed, causing her lips to smirk, and said, "Because you're the only water shifter!" while she was laughing.

As she passed the corner, she turned around to see the shining face of a lad who was slightly larger than she was. He had hit the back of his water-resistant vest, which was fortunate for him. Darrell's shoulders sagged as he accepted his defeat and his disappointment showed itself in the form of a defeated frown on his face. She broke into a grin that was reminiscent of a teenager.

"Someone falls for it every time." While searching for additional hiders, Carlene chuckled and stepped on the crunchy leaves underneath her.

The inconsequential section of the large woodland was filled with chorales of laughter and other forms of cheerful chatter. The muscles in each of their faces had, for the first time, become more relaxed.

They straightened their shoulders, and the space that had previously existed between their eyebrows vanished. The individuals' jaws relaxed, and their heart rates had restored to their regular frequency. For once, the soothing sound of the waterfall was able to alleviate all of their concerns.

It is true, even Luisa.

While she was crouching close to the edge of the lapis lagoon, she found that her thoughts had stopped moving. Her body temperature had returned to normal, and the shivers had stopped. she was no longer experiencing them. The moment she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the flowing pool, she peered intently at it. Even though the water was moving slowly, she couldn't help but find herself pondering about something. Given that the waterfalls have a rhythmic pattern that cascades elegantly at a steady rate, is it possible that water too has a heartbeat? That it was even more alive than she was is a possibility.

During the time that she was gazing at her aquamarine image and softly waving it, she had the impression that the element was a reflection of her. She made an effort to persuade herself that something like this was an absurd idea. On the other hand, the healing that enveloped her with a warmth that was drastically different from its actual temperature was comparable to a hug from a mother on Christmas day.

The scene captivated her, and she was captivated by the otherworldly blue hues that emanated from the ocean. The person's face was one that she recognized. The nose was the same, but it was angled upward so that a little bit more of her nostrils were visible. Her lips, which were naturally pursed in a nude tone, were glossed with an artificial strawberry gloss, and she found the drive to groom her brows in preparation for the weekend excursion. Luisa Donaldson, the same old Luisa Donaldson, was staring directly back at her, and the knowledge that she could freely gaze at herself without feeling any discomfort or embarrassment helped her to calm her nerves.

That is, until her recognizable features began to change into ones that were more foreign.

At the bridge, the nose contracted and became flatter, resulting in a smaller nose. Her eyebrows became more delicate and wispy, and they began to brush upwards without any arch. At the corners of her eyes, she began to develop a few fine lines and wrinkles, and her cheekbones became slightly diminished.

Royal blue was the color that emanated from her eyes.

She was so terrified that she brought her palm up to her face, and her French-tip manicured nails were pressing against her flesh while she wore a distressed grimace. She couldn't help but concentrate even more intently on the foreign image that was floating in the sea where her face should have been because she was terrified of it.

What gives her such a recognizable appearance?

Her fingers wandered to the surface without her conscious awareness, which resulted in the release of tension and, ultimately, the disappearance of the vision of the woman appearing.

The look of exasperation swept over him. Whenever she turned her head to the left or right, she saw that the sounds of the waterfall progressively disappeared. The sounds that she made sounded as if she were at the bottom of the lake, as if her entire body was being suffocated by the palm of another person. After the peace of the waterfalls had vanished, she found herself swaying in a direction that was completely unrelated to her.

The voice that was shouting her name was a voice that was yearning for her, but she was unable to determine whether or not it was a fake reality. Luisa let out a scream. Despite the fact that it was kind and pleasant, the tone was obviously tinged with anguish. The force of her feet pulled her toward the direction that it was coming from, and she came dangerously close to colliding with tree trunks and drooping limbs. While she was stumbling around with a disoriented expression, it appeared as though she had been drugged by some kind of injection. Gregory's eyebrows were drawn together as he passed behind her.

Every stride that Luisa took brought her closer to the warmth that she possessed. Take it easy, Luisa! As if they were two halves that were drawn together like opposing ends of a magnet, the manner in which the voice spoke appeared to be just as disoriented as she was.

It seemed as if the wind's breath was dancing over her flesh that goosebumps appeared. She sped up her pace and plowed through a variety of leaves, oblivious to the fact that they may potentially cause her injury. As she continued to go along an unpaved path that appeared to stretch on forever, she felt an invisible force pulling on her heartbeat, which caused her beating to become more strong in her ears.

Next, Luisa continued. As the feeling settled in Luisa's breast, she experienced an overwhelming sense of empathy through her senses. It was almost as if she longed for a hug from someone she had never met before, but at the same time, it appeared as if she was with someone she knew too well.

"Luisa?"

During the process of waking up from her hallucination, she staggered backwards over the heels of her feet after colliding with a head of blonde hair. In the instant that she was about to make contact with the ground behind her, a pair of hands grabbed her by the wrists and held her back in an upright position. As she slowly opened her eyes, she was confronted with a sight that was both reassuring and deeply concerned.

"Are you alright?" As she stared into her normally tanned complexion, which had suddenly become unhealthily pale in a matter of minutes, Suzanne felt the beginnings of concern. Due to the fact that her throat was more dry than the air at the greater altitude, Luisa was unable to articulate any words. Instead, her gaze wandered over her face in a manner that was almost eerie, as she became fascinated with the features of her face that she had previously ignored.

It was the nose and the eyebrows, but the eyes of a similar form that proved to be the deciding element.

"Luis-" The younger girl suddenly and unexpectedly put her arms around the person she had only known for a handful of days. "Luis-" It was sufficient to alleviate the burdensome weight that had accumulated in her sternum, preventing her from experiencing the sensation of her ribs having a tendency to split into her heart. Suzanne was taken aback when she encountered the sensation of her shoulders being chained down; yet, her manicured nails responded in the same manner subconsciously.

"I am very sorry. That was extremely, well, rash of you to do that. Luisa retreated after a few seconds and looked up at the girl, who was just somewhat higher than he was on the slope when they were both standing on the slope. Despite the fact that her lips were glossed, Suzanne's lips were the same nude hue as they were when she smiled.

"Sometimes you just need a hug." Despite the fact that she lacked background information, her words were compassionate and full of understanding.

It was impossible for Luisa to put any of the parts of the puzzle together. On one particular occasion, she found herself in the midst of a mystical forest, embracing a young lady whom she had only recently met, as if they had known each other for decades. Despite the fact that the mirror on the water's surface was altering, she ignored it. There was no rationale behind the foolishness, which resulted in additional questions being added to the heap of conspiracies of which there were no answers.

However, when they looked into one another's eyes, which were of the same almond shape, her eyes changed into the same royal blue color, even though she had orange contacts on top of them.

There was a feeling of connectedness on both ends of the spectrum.
