Chapter 5 However

That morning, Desi woke up with mixed feelings. After a night of anxiety, she felt tired and stressed. She tried to focus on the lectures she had to attend, determined to leave the house and find some peace on campus. However, that hope was quickly dashed when Reza told her that he would drive Desi.

"Desi, I'll drive you to campus this morning," Reza said in a tone that seemed caring, but Desi sensed discomfort behind his words.

Desi felt anxious and tried to find an excuse to go alone. "Sir, I can just take public transportation. No need to bother."

Reza frowned, looking at Desi with a look that made her feel pressured. "No, Desi. I promised Rani. Besides, this is just a form of concern. I want to make sure you arrive safely."

Desi felt she had no choice but to accept Reza's offer. Reluctantly, she followed Reza out of the house and into the car. Reza opened the car door for her with a polite look, but Desi sensed the tension in his demeanor.

As the car started moving, Desi tried to keep her distance from Reza, sitting in the passenger seat with her position slightly pressed against the window. However, Reza didn't seem to care about Desi's efforts to keep her distance.

"Desi, I just want to make sure you feel comfortable during the trip. So, if there's anything I can help you with, just let me know," Reza said with a cold smile.

Desi felt anxious and tried to keep her calm. "Thank you, Mas. I just want to focus on my studies."

Reza nodded, but his gaze never left Desi. "Of course. But I just want you to know that I'm here for you."

Desi lowered her head, feeling uncomfortable with Reza's gaze that was constantly watching her. She tried to distract herself by looking at the scenery outside the window, hoping that it would distract her mind.

However, the atmosphere in the car became even more tense when Reza started to reach out and touch Desi's hand that was lying on the seat. Desi felt the unwanted touch and immediately pulled her hand away.

"Mas Reza, please don't..." Desi sighed in a trembling voice. "I'm not comfortable."

Reza smiled coldly and showed no signs of backing down. "Desi, you have to understand that this is not about comfort or discomfort. This is about how we understand each other."

Desi felt cornered and tried to distance herself further from Reza. "I... I'm sorry, Mas. I just want this trip to end."

Reza didn't respond quickly. He just stared at Desi with a determined gaze. "Desi, you have to realize that you can't always avoid reality. Sometimes we have to face uncomfortable things."

Desi felt a growing worry as Reza continued to watch and touch her hand in a way that made her increasingly uncomfortable. Every time Desi tried to move away, Reza tried to get closer, making Desi feel pressured and pressured.

The car continued to drive through the city streets, and Desi felt as if time was moving slowly. She felt a deep sense of hopelessness and helplessness, hoping that she could get to campus soon and get away from Reza.

Finally, the car stopped in front of the campus, and Desi felt a little relieved even though it was not completely safe. Reza turned to her with a look that seemed dissatisfied. "We're here, Desi. I hope you have a good day at college."
