Chapter 4 Unspoken tears

~ Mia POV ~

The bright rays of light from the window was the first thing I woke up to.

Looking around me,I saw the crumpled bedsheet like someone slept beside me but I can't remember sleeping with anyone unless Luca was here last night.When? I couldn't remember anything of last night after my tears dilemma tho.

I rushed to the bathroom,took a cold shower and God! The shower is one that I have never taken before,yesterday I was so In a bad state of mind that I didn't even enjoy the view of the bathroom,now I do.

After the warm shower,I went to the wardrobe to wear my dress but the moment I opened the wardrobe,the first sight I met shocked me that I quickly closed the wardrobe.

Oh my God!!!,I exclaimed as I opened the wardrobe again,

In it were beautiful dresses of different colour,style and taste.

I took a purple strapless gown that reached my knee,it waist is embroidered with shiny silver stones and to say this dress is topnotch is an understatement,I didn't even want to guess how much it might be but at second thought,I decided to wear my own clothes which I found at the extreme of the wardrobe,it was so isolated that one would think it was picked from some waste bin.Whosoever arranged these dresses need to be sue for the disrespect towards my clothes.

I wore my velvet brown jean with a beige top,a light nude lipgloss that complimented my skin,a mascara even though my lashes were long and a hairpin to my ginger hair that I always never forget to wear because it's my mother's.

I took my school bag and rushed out of the room only for me to be met with two beautiful ladies at the door whom I assume is the maids.

"Good morn....,".

"Ma'am,the boss said to escort you to the dining",the maids said abruptly.

"Don't you guys greet or respond to one?,I asked seeing how they cut me off but I receive no response in return;again,"This is weird,I whispered silently to my self as I follow them to the wheresoever dining hall.

The stairs we passed through were made of gold.

Last night,When I was brought here,I didn't have the enthusiasm to check out the building but one thing I am sure of is the road we took to this place was a deserted island,there were no houses or building in sight,it was lonely and I guess this was a Mafia thingy.

It is Luca's territory.

I used to read a lot of Mafia stories but I didn't know I would be in one, one-day;lol.

"How rich is Luca?,"I wondered as my eyes never leave the interior of the castle.

"You like the design?Luca suddenly said,I was shocked,I didn't even realized I'd reached the dining.

"Yes,the interior design is beautiful"I said.

The food on the table were much you would think it's for more than two persons,but things of the rich,I thought and silently ate my food.

"Didn't you check the wardrobe?Luca asked.

"Sure I did,thanks for the clothes".

"Then why didn't you wear them,don't you like them or you just feel comfortable in rags?

"Uhh.., He called my clothes rag?I know there are not expensive or nothing close to the ones in the wardrobe but they weren't rags and doesn't even look like one.Though my father doesn't have much but wearing nice clothes isn't something we can't afford,most of our clothes are gotten from the thrift store,they are really neat,nice and doesn't look anyway like rags.But I can't tell him that.

"I wore it because I would be going to school and wearing such designer clothes would bring attention,also,I wouldn't want anyone to be suspicious,no one should know I am married, right?.

"Are you ashamed of me,he asked suddenly".

"I stared hard at him"I am not ashame of him,but how do I tell him I am ashame of my self instead,becoming a wife to a Mafia who is just a sex pet to her monster husband.

"No I am not ashame,just that the marriage will end in a year eventually,so it shouldn't be something people should know about".I said,which to me is a logical reason.

"You wouldn't be going to school"..Luca's word hit me like a dagger."So you can just pull those rags and wear what I bought,at least no one would see you in here".

"What?Why?Is it because of the dress,I promise I will change right away and wear what you bought"

I said with tears already falling,I am a cry baby I know but this is way too harsh".

"I am a final year college student and this year is a very crucial one for me",I explained but it fell on deaf ears.

"I am your husband and you are my pet,you don't ask questions when given an order,you get?."Luca said as he came to my side and peck my hair.He was disgusting right now and I can't even do nothing.

"I would be going out for some minutes,there are guards outside so don't think of escaping,Also if you need anything, Annette behind you would attend to your needs.

And with that he left.

The food crumbs in my mouth became hard for me to swallow"Why couldn't he just tell me after I've finished my meal?,I thought as I looked at the magnificent dishes on the table that I have lost appetite to eat.

I stood up and decide to go get some rest when I noticed Annette,the girl Luca said would attend to my needs.

"You were told to attend to whatever I need right?"I turned to asked Annette".

"Yes ma'am".

"Okay,can you please do something for me"?

"What ma'am".

"Can you just call me Mia,I would appreciate it,lastly don't follow me around"I said angrily that I left Annette behind.

With each minutes in this castle,I am loosing my sanity,I have told Annette not to follow me around but it seems she's loyal to her master because shortly after she's standing at the door outside waiting for when she would be needed".

Seeing that there was nothing interesting for me to do,I opened my phone only for me to notice that all my contacts has been deleted.

Yesterday,after the wedding,I had just a brief conversation with my family and I remembered my dad saying I shouldn't try calling him.I didn't understand why but looking at my phone now,I guess Luca must have told him something,probably a warning or a threat.

But why?
