Chapter 3 Encounter with andrew

well Mr. Parker. Till we meet again." Andrew stated as he withdrew his hand before turning away to leave the room, his assistant following behind him.

Mr. Parker loved both his company and his daughter very much. He didn't want to give either of them up to the Devil himself. He didn't want to.

Mr parker left the office heading straight home. he stepped into the house looking depressed and sad. he sat on the sofa, and called out for Alexa ordering her to sit. Alexa on the other hand has been waiting for father's return so as to break the good news to him, but was discouraged when she saw her father's mood. he began to explain.

"when you were younger, this company suffered a lot of financial troubles. I took a loan from a friend of mine, then President of the AJ Enterprises. After some time, I simply couldn't pay back yet. We've been reinvesting our money so we can grow further and Mr. Klien was a very good friend of mine so he understood. After klien passed away, his son took over. Unfortunately, he's not nearly as compassionate as his father. He now demands we return every single cent or he's going to take away everything. Your grandfather worked so hard to own this, he put in his blood, sweat, and tears into this. Our family cherishes this company too much to let go of it without a fight."

"Dad, we don't have to give up the company, we'll find an alternate solution. There are multiple ways to fix everything. I know what this company means to you, and I know all of the jobs at stake if this doesn't work out. I'll help you fix this dad in whatsoever way I can. Alexa meant it." She assured him as she put up a warm smile and squeezed both of his hands in hers but the sad look in his eyes remained. It was devastating to see him look that devastated.

"If we are unable to pay him back soon, he's going to take our company but... It does not have to be so only if you could... agree to his condition." Mr parker stated and she furrowed her brows for a minute trying to analyse what all this might be about. Nevertheless, she was ready to pay heed and work herself off to help him since she was in her last year of college and also a first class student.

"What is it?" She asked still holding his hands in hers.

She watch him hesitate for a while, lurking his eyes left and right. Contemplation filled his every move. She could see something was really troubling him. If only he could understand how willing she was to help him.

"He wants to marry you, he wants to take you as his wife".

"Come again? I'm sorry dad. I...I think I misheard you," I stumbled out after giving him about a minute of blank stare.

The sad look he gave her was enough to know this was real, all too real. This isn't possible! This isn't the 1500s were people barter their children! She slowly withdrew my hands away from his. She stared at him for a second with squinted brows quite in disbelief of what was turning to reality. Eventually, she stood up and walked away from him then suddenly stopped then paced to and fro for quite a while trying to understand the implication of such an absurd request but she just couldn't. This was preposterous. she suddenly stopped then turned to him and rested both her hands on her hips, while she shook her head.

"Let me get this right... This very same man wants to... he's ready to forget everything, all we owe him if only I accept his marriage proposal?" She asked a little dried out about the entire situation.

she watched her dad nod his head in accordance. her brows slightly furrowed as she took my hands off her chins and folded them across her chest.

she suddenly dashed off straight her her heading to his office.

"I'm sorry miss you can't go in there! the receptionist said trying to stop Alexa but she was determined to see who that Mr Andrew was.

all attempts to stop her by the receptionist were void.

Sh walked directly up to him and slumped her handbag on his desk. She could see that act alone took an effect on him as he took a slight look at the handbag before raising his eyes back to me. She leaned a little forward as she rested both her hands on his desk. Looking straight into his eyes, she spoke up.

"I don't know what kind of sick game you have planned out but I'm demanding this minute that you stop it. If you don't, I'm warning you Mr Andrew, the consequences are going to be too much for you to handle." She warned making sure her eyes reflected the fact that she meant exactly what she was stating but he just sat there, his head, a little titled to his right. No expression on his face. Not even a little fear in his eyes. It bordered her a little but she retained my position.

"Do I know you?" He asked still retaining his calmness. Her brows slightly furrowed for a second, recollecting the fact that this man really has no idea who she was and yet he wants to marry her. The more this comes to light, the harder it is for her to understand what his deal was.

"Oh, I forgot the fact that you actually know nothing about the woman you're proposing marriage to." She stated, a little fake sarcastically amusement drawn across her face. His brows slightly lifted before he rolled his eyes from up to down, clearly taking this opportunity to have a good look at her. Truly, he couldn't see how annoying that act alone was.

"I see, so you're she." He stated A kind of disappointing tone. How much more disrespectful can this man be?

"I don't even want to know what all this is about. I just need you to stop threatening my father with your nonsensical lawsuits and stop demanding that I marry you like some kind of sacrificial lamb. For goodness sake, this isn't the 1500s where you can barter people as if they were currency!" She ranted hoping all that she said really got through him because she couldn't see herself being married to such a man like him. Not in this life.

I watched him take in a deep breath before getting up to his feet. Okay, he was huge or perhaps, she was the little one. No problem. She watched him walk away from his seat, past his table and only stopped when he was in front of her. Both hands buried within the pockets of his trouser.

"What did you think would happen? You would storm in here, give a really bad threat and then everything will be settled?" He asked, frustratingly calm.

you?" She shook my head in disbelief.

"You have no idea.

"Look, Mr. Andrew..." she sneered, as she uncrossed her arms and pointed my index finger at him. Her blood really boiling just staring at his face.

"I suggest that you change your so-called solution or we're going to have an issue." She warned through gritted teeth. She noticed how he took a look at her index finger pointed right to his face.

"I suggest Miss Alexa that you take your finger away from my face or you're going to look for it in the nearest future." He added rather dryly, quite frustrated by his threat, she eventually took down my finger away from his face.
