Chapter 6 6. TO THE NEW HOME

Eka folded her arms across her chest, her face slightly bent. Mahardika glanced at his wife who seemed to be reciting a mantra.

"Ah, now I know!" Eka stood up immediately, her sudden action surprised Mahardika.

"Know what?" asked Dika, raising his voice slightly. He was so surprised that he stroked her chest. Spontaneously, his heart seemed to want to move.

His wife was different from most women out there.

"Yes, I know, the reason why Mom is not angry." Eka looked at the man who was now officially her husband.

"Maybe she thought not to scold me because we just got married. I'm sure, a few days later, mom will be angry and annoyed if I don't get up early."

Eka started again. Mahardika shook his head for the umpteenth time. His patience was being tested now. He couldn't understand why his wife was still discussing trivial and unimportant things? Already, she was accusing him of something else.

"How about this, Uncle? I'm so embarrassed to meet mom later," Eka babbled again.

Mahardika, who was already furious, suddenly pulled Eka's hand. Bringing her into an embrace. Eka widened her eyes as if she wanted to jump out.

At the same time, Mahardika pressed her lips to Eka's luscious lips.

Mahardika kissed Eka, so that his wife would no longer say nonsense that made her eardrums feel like bursting.

This is Mahardika's first kiss, to a woman other than his mother. The same goes for Eka. It was usually Eka kissing her father's cheek and not lips.

Eka, who managed to get her consciousness, then pushed Mahardika's chest, so that the moment of union ended.

Both of them were awkward. However, Mahardika did not regret his actions. Even though it only lasted for a moment, it still left an extraordinary impression.

A high-voltage electric current seemed to strike Mahardika's body during the kiss.

Mahardika wanted to do it again, but unfortunately Eka had already left. She went into the bathroom and locked it.

Mahardika could hear his wife screaming in the bathroom. Surely his little wife was feeling embarrassed.

"A very warm touch. Next time we do it again," Mahardika murmured mischievously.

***

Several hours had passed. During that time, Eka always stayed away from Mahardika. She was very afraid that her husband would kiss her again like this morning.

Although it was brief, but the impression is still felt until now.

At 13:00 WIB, after lunch. They left the hotel.

Mahardika and Eka were in the same car. Sitting side by side in the back seat.

Mahardika has a personal driver who will take him wherever he wants.

Eka sat a little away from Mahardika. Deliberately because she was still thinking about this morning's incident.

Eka kept looking out the window. Meanwhile, Mahardika was silent, not giving any comments. Though in his heart, he was feeling anxious.

Occasionally Mahardika glanced at Eka, directing his gaze at his wife's luscious lips.

"What are you doing, Uncle, looking at me all the time?" Eka asked rudely.

Eka caught Mahardika watching her meaningfully.

"So what if I look at you? Is it wrong for a husband to look at his wife continuously? Is my action something that is prohibited by law?" Mahardika asked back.

Eka did not answer and instead looked away again. She was too lazy to argue.

Mahardika chuckled. Her patience was really being tested. Talking to Eka was like talking to a three-year-old boy. It makes the bottom tense. Uh, he meant to make the blood rise.

***

After traveling for more than an hour and a half, the car entered the yard of a two-story house.

"Whose house is this?" asked Eka in amazement.

"This is our house, dear. This house is the dowry for our wedding," Mahardika replied with a faint smile.

"Let's go outside!" invited Dika gently.

Eka nodded. Then she got out of the car. Mahardika walked over to his wife.

"Let's go in!" Dika invited again. This time he wanted to hold Eka's hand.

"One minute, Uncle. I don't think I've ever seen this house? When did Uncle Dika buy it?"

Dika shook his head for the umpteenth time today. Eka still had time to ask, for something that he thought was very trivial.

"I bought this house a long time ago. It was you who never wanted to come when invited to see it."

Getting an answer like blame, Eka ruffled her waist while looking straight at her 179 cm tall husband.

"Heum, when did you take me to see the house? I don't remember ever. We rarely meet. In one year, we only meet two or three times."

"Really? I think you counted it wrong. Every Sunday, I meet your father at the strawberry farm in Bandung. In every month, I can meet your father five to six times," Mahardika explained quite long and clearly.

"Argh, you can't do that. You can't count. You meet with your father, not with me. It's different, Uncle." Eka argued.

She has the hardest time giving in. Every time she argues, she has to win. That was Eka and now, Mahardika had to strengthen her patience.

"That's it. I apologize then. I was wrong for never taking you out. I was too busy with work that I forgot about my family. Are you satisfied now?"

Eka laughed contentedly, grinning like she didn't feel guilty at all.

"Yes, I forgive Uncle," Eka said lightly.

She really had no intention of honoring her husband. Fortunately, Mahardika had an ocean of patience, so he could still smile at Eka, who did not want to give in.

"That's it. Come on, let's go in!" Dika invited again and this time Eka nodded.

"Rudi. Please bring the suitcases," Mahardika asked Rudi, who was none other than his personal driver.

The man named Rudi nodded, then he lifted the suitcases one by one, because the size of the suitcases was large.

"Hello!" Mahardika shouted a little. Signaling the house guard to come out.

"Yes, sir." A woman shouted from a distance. She came in with hurried steps while wiping her wet hands.

"Welcome, Mr. Dika. Is it her, Mrs. Eka?" the woman asked for confirmation.

Mahardika nodded while embracing Eka's shoulder. On this occasion, Eka did not rebel. Mahardika felt happy.

"Yes, she is my wife. Starting today, she will be the lady of this house," Mahardika said loudly.

Eka, who felt uncomfortable, then pulled Mahardika's hand off her shoulder.

Instead of being upset, Mahardika showed a big smile. He always laughed at his wife's prestigious behavior.

"Welcome, young lady. My name is Endang. Young lady can call me Endang only."

She introduced her name in front of Eka. Her demeanor was very respectful and obedient.

"Good, Endang. Thank you for the welcome." Eka smiled awkwardly.

"Is the room ready?" asked Mahardika.

"Yes, sir. As instructed by sir. Prepare two rooms," Endang replied kindly.

"Two rooms? What are two rooms for?" Eka furrowed her brow.

"Yes, for us, dear. Who else is it for? Don't you want to sleep in the same room with me? That's why I asked Endang to prepare two rooms, so you can feel comfortable."

Mahardika smiled, but not Eka.
