Lexi
I cry out in agony over the broken mate bond. Never had I felt such pain before as if I was being thrown into a burning fire.
"You're too loud!" Corni scolds. "Cry somewhere else"
Corni drags me across me across the floor; throwing me out of his house like I meant nothing to him.
I let my tears roll freely down my cheeks. Tears coupled with the breaking of our mate bond, father almost killing me, my sister claiming the throne. It was all too much for me.
Picking myself up from the ground, I hide upon hearing rough voices searching for me.
"Check every nook and cranny for her. Alpha Alaric orderedcl dead or alive!"
"Yes, sir!"
From what I'd just heard, father had placed a bounty on my head. I had no place to run to now.
"Over there! I've found her!"
The sheer thought of me getting caught and dragged back to father frightened me.
Instantly, I took to my heels; running deep into the woods without looking back but I could tell I hadn't lost those men that where after me just yet.
I wasn't sure when but I'd managed to lose them eventually. Just when I was about to catch my breath had I encountered a moon elf.
"What do I do now?" I muttered under my breathe, not moving taking a single step from where I stood.
"Don't. Move" Arya advised. "Moon elves don't attack unless they sense danger"
"Great. So, I'll just stand here like a log. Easy for you to say"
Standing in one spot, blood trailed down my injured arm which I'd encountered from father. I hadn't had a chance to treat it yet.
Soon, the moon elf turns to walk away and I decide to use this opportunity to treat my wound.
Tearing a piece of fabric from the bottom of my ball gown, I start to bandage my wound when I notice the moon elf gazing at me; threatened.
"What is going on, Arya?" I whisper.
"I told you not to move"
"Uh-oh" I take to my heels, running at full speed as the moon elf gives me a hot chase while making screeching noises.
It uses it's magic to summon an army of Griffins which I have a hard time fighting off with one arm and no weapon.
"You're going to have to do alot more of running than fighting on your own, Lexi" Arya says, stating the obvious. "If you atleast want to survive this night then put me in charge"
"I don't have enough strength to transf--" One of the Griffins grabbed my ankle, tossing me away as my back hit a tree branch.
Wincing in pain, I stand up to my feet to find myself surrounded by the army of Griffins. Like a prey ready to be pounced upon by her predators.
"Do you still not have enough strength to transform?" Arya inquired. "Do you want your story to end with you eaten by Griffins?"
No, I want revenge. Against father, Corni, Penelope and when that's all done, I'll set out to find my real parents. To make them feel sorry for ever abandoning me.
If they hadn't, I wouldn't have had to live such an eventful life.
To be honest, it wasn't just because I didn't have energy that I didn't want to transform to my wolf form. It's just that whenever I transformed--whenever Arya took over--then I truly become a monster.
I kill anyone and anything in sight. That's how I was able to conquer the Ponvelliion pack.
But now, I didn't have a choice for it was kill or be killed. "Make sure to survive this, Arya"
Arya smirks. "Of course"
Soon every bone in my body begins to crack as I slowly lower to all fours; my grey paws hitting the ground as a loud roar escaped through my lips.
The Griffins seemed frightened at first but then in unison; they attacked and so did I.
My claws sink into their necks as I grip their head with my teeth; ripping it off and spitting it aside.
As the moon elf summoned more, more died. I launched myself at the moon elf, it's screeching sound filling the wood as I used claws to slice it's head off it's neck.
Panting heavily, I relax to see the creatures all dead. My guard is lowered--a grave mistake-- as to which I was unable to sense the flying arrow aimed at me.
It wasn't until the arrow has pireced into my hindpaw had the pain sinked in, alerting me of the danger; more moon elves had arrived.
With an injured hindpaw, fighting would obviously lead to my death so I ran. Ran with only one intention on mind; I had to leave these woods.
Panting heavily, my vision slowly becomes blurry. Was it because of lack of food? Or was I shot with a poison arrow?. I couldn't tell which ot was.
But I could clearly make out that there was a building outside these woods. I quickened my pace, running at top speed and then I make it out of the woods into a pack's territory.
The moon elves snarled at me but didn't dare to cross the pack's territory. Shifting back into my human form, I gasp for air, coughing and wheezing.
That was my longest run yet. I scan around for leaves to use and cover my nakedness.
"Thank you, Arya" I say but she doesn't respond which is not surprising as she must be taking a nap.
My mouth ran dry and I badly needed food and water but my first priority right now was to leave this unknown pack's territory I'd crossed lest a war starts because of me.
"Let's leave here first" I mumbled. "But the moon elves are still out there"
Crashing to the ground, I decide to shut my eyes for a little while. "Just until the moon elves are gone"
But the effect of whatever I was shot with that arrow began to take place as I slowly fell unconscious; my world turning pitch black.
