Chapter 4 Aaria Harris

Meanwhile, Aaira, who is still in shock from what happened to her, is currently confused.

Due in the taxi, Aaira's hands were busy searching for something in her bag.

Her wallet, where did she keep her wallet? Aaira's brain kept spinning trying to recall the sequence of events that happened backwards.

Oh my, Aaira's face immediately turned pale. Now, she just remembered something. She forgot bring her wallet.

What to do, Aaira thought frantically. She needed money to pay for the taxi. But, there was no way she was going back to that hotel. No, Aaira didn't want to see that man again.

In her confusion, Aaira's gaze accidentally fell on her ring finger.

It was a ring.

Aaira's eyes lit up. The gold ring on her ring finger was enough to pay for the taxi fare.

"Sir, please stop at the gold shop up ahead," Aaira pointed at the gold jewelry store in front of them.

Obediently, the taxi driver stopped right in front of the gold shop in front of them.

"Just a moment, sir. I want to go to that shop. Just run the meter." said Aaira.

"Yes, Miss,"

Aaira opened the car door and walked into the gold shop. She was going to sell her gold ring to pay for the taxi fare.

Before long, Aaira was out of the gold shop. She walked up to the taxi driver who was waiting for her. She paid the taxi fare and thanked him.

After the taxi drove away, Aaira was again in a state of confusion. Where should she go. She had nowhere to go. Finally, Aaira decided to call Vania.

Vania was Aaira's best friend since she was in school. Right now, she needed a friend to pour her heart out to. Aaira then contacted Vania.

Vania, who was at home at the time, received a call from Aaira. She immediately picked up Aaira's phone.

"Aaira, what happened. Your voice sounds hoarse. Have you been crying?" Once connected, she heard Aaira's hoarse and trembling voice.

"Can you meet me now? I'm not feeling well at the moment," Aaira replied from the other end of the line.

"Oh God, what happened?" asked Vania anxiously.

"I can't tell you over the phone. Can you come see me?" pleaded Aaira once again.

"Of course, tell me where you are now?" asked Vania later. Aaira mentioned where she was to Vania.

Not long after, Vania was suddenly where Aaira was. Aaira was at a small cafe in the city. Aaira hugged Vania as soon as they met.

"Oh my, what a mess you're in. Tell me, what happened?" asked Vania after calming Aaira down. The girl had cried after meeting Vania.

Still sobbing, Aaira told her best friend what had happened to her.

"This is crazy!" Vania smothered her mouth after Aaira told her what had happened to her last night. "What have you done, Aaira?" she said with a look of shock.

"I don't know, Vania. It all just happened. I don't even remember how I got there," Aaira replied.

"Do you know that guy?" Vania asked.

Aaira shook her head. "No, I don't know that guy. In fact, I don't even know his name." she said softly. Again, tears fell down her smooth cheeks. Vania felt both annoyed and sorry. Her best friend was either an idiot or drunk.

Aaira cursed herself. She was really stupid. Sleeping with an unknown man. Stupidly, she didn't even know his name.

Aaira really regretted the events of last night. All because of Selena, she said with a furious heart.

Seeing Aaira shaking her head, Vania felt even more annoyed.

"Now, you're in big trouble, Aaira. What if something happens to you? Have you lost your sanity?" Vania said a little jerkily. She was at a loss for words. Why would Aaira be so careless? Her best friend had given up her most precious possession just like that, to a man whose name she didn't even know.

"Please, Vania. Please keep your voice down. This is a public place. Do you want my shame to spread everywhere?" Aaira said pleadingly.

"Sorry, I got carried away because I was so upset," Vania replied while holding up two fingers in a V shape.

"So, what are you going to do after this, Aaria?"

"I don't know, I haven't thought about that. I'm still confused." replied Aaira. Vania looked at Aaira with compassion. She felt concerned.

"What if you get pregnant as a result of that." Vania asked again. This time she asked with a serious look on her face.

"I don't know, I don't know either. I haven't thought about that. Hopefully, that won't happen to me," Aaira said listlessly.

Hearing Aaira's answer, Vania fell silent. In her heart, she prayed that what Aaira hoped for would come true. She didn't want to see her best friend suffer. Because she knew what her best friend's life was like.

"Never mind, don't think too much about this problem. Hopefully nothing will happen. So now what are you going to do?" asked Vania again.

Aaira was silent staring at her fingers under the table. A clear grain fell on her hand.

Vania looked at her friend with a pitying look. Her heart was truly concerned about the fate that befell Aaira.

"I don't know what to do." Aaira replied later. She stared blankly out the window of the cafe.

"Go home, you need to rest and think clearly." Vania touched Aaira's fingers.

Aaira turned her head and looked at Vania. "But I don't want to go back to that house. That house feels like hell to me," she said.

Vania shook her head. She knew what Aaira meant. The problem must be Selena, her stepmother. The snake woman had always tried to get rid of her best friend.

"Then, stay at my house." Vania said.

Aaira shook her head, "No, I can't do that. I don't want to keep bothering you and your family. You've all been so good to me," Aaira said.

"So where do you want to go? No, I can't let you wander aimlessly. You have to stay in my house. Besides, my family has never objected to you staying at my house. For us, you are like our family," said Vania.

Aaira looked at Vania with an emotional look. Really, in the midst of life's misfortunes, she felt lucky, still having a best friend like Vania.
