Chapter 6 Don't Make Me Get Physical!

Leanna stopped what she was doing and slowly raised her head. She saw Renee standing in front of her with a mock concerned face.

Leanna's red lips curled as she responded sharply, "Why do you care? Whether I go to the Ford family's gala isn't your business, ma'am."

Renee's eyes widened a little, clearly shocked by Leanna's blunt reply.

Leanna leaned back in her wicker chair, tapping her phone absentmindedly. Her charming eyes held a teasing glint as she looked at Renee. Renee was definitely a sly manipulator. Her irritating personality could get on anyone's nerves.

"Leanna?" Just then, Joshua walked up to them, planning to take Renee to confirm their invitation. He hadn't expected to see Leanna here.

Joshua frowned, and his handsome face immediately darkened. "You come all the way here just to humiliate me?"

Joshua lost his temper, yelling at Leanna, "Just get lost, for Christ's sake!"

Renee, determined to stake her claim, wrapped her arm around Joshua's in front of Leanna, her gaze daring and defiant.

Leanna wasn't one to put up with such disrespect. She tightened her fingers slightly and looked at Joshua with a cold smirk, her eyes full of icy contempt.

"Care to repeat that? Who are you telling to get lost?" Leanna sat calmly in her black silk slip dress, her slender legs crossed with grace. Her flawless skin and striking features gave her an undeniable magnetism. Though her voice was steady, the air around her turned icy, carrying an unmistakable power.

The tension was palpable. Joshua froze momentarily, taken aback by the sudden intensity, feeling strangely unsettled by Leanna's aura. Was this really the same obedient wife he once knew?

Renee's delicate brows knitted together in frustration. After their last encounter, she thought Leanna was out of her mind. Worried that Leanna might make a scene and embarrass her, Renee softened her tone, putting on a sweet and innocent act. "Ms. Jackson, I suggest you leave. There's only one invitation, and Joshua can only take me inside. Even if you stay, you won't get in and will just cause him trouble. Why make it harder than it has to be?"

Leanna shot Renee a frosty look. She had already seen Joshua's true nature and was completely fed up with both Joshua and their marriage. At this point, nothing Renee said or did could rattle her or ruin her mood.

"Why do you care, ma'am?" Leanna calmly replied, unbothered by Renee's words. She casually picked up her glass and took a sip of grape juice through a straw, looking completely relaxed.

"Not leaving? Don't make me get physical!" Joshua exclaimed.

Leanna was unfazed by Joshua's outburst, treating him as if he didn't even exist.

Joshua's expression grew even darker. Frustrated that Leanna refused to budge, he stepped closer, intending to drag her away.

Leanna scowled. Just as she was about to react, a breathless voice called out from behind Joshua, "Get out of my way!"

"Leanna! I'm sorry... I'm late!" Karson rushed over, breathless, and spotted Joshua about to grab Leanna. His eyes widened in shock.

Without hesitation, Karson lunged at Joshua, seizing Joshua by the collar as if he were a toy, and tossed Joshua aside, positioning himself protectively in front of Leanna.

Standing nearly six-foot-four, Karson loomed large. His muscular arms radiated immense strength.

"What do you think you're doing?" Karson shot a fierce glare at Joshua, fists clenched until his knuckles cracked. "Picking on Leanna? You're asking for trouble, you idiot!"

Joshua shouted, "Who do you think you are?"

Joshua was quickly tossed aside like refuse. He stumbled to his feet, glaring furiously at Karson.
