Chapter Five

The next morning...

Bella woke up to a knocking sound against the front door of her house.

She stood up, grabbing her robe and putting it on, before grumpily walking towards the front door.

She opened it to see the lady from yesterday standing there.

"Good morning, ma'am." She greeted me politely, bowing a little.

"Morning," Bella answered, rubbing the sleep away from her eyes.

"What do you need?" She asked impatiently, wanting nothing more than to go back to bed.

"Master is asking of you." She said this, making the little sleep in her eyes fly away.

Bella's heart skipped a beat as she tried to think of why he was asking of her so early in the morning.

"Alright, give me a second." She said, closing the door, leaning against it for a moment, before hurriedly going to clean herself up.

She put on the best outfit she could find before making her way to the main mansion.

She opened the door and walked into the living room, looking around for anyone.

"Ma'am." The lady said she was walking towards her.

"What's your name?" Bella decided to ask, being in a good mood.

"Tina, ma'am."

"Master is waiting for you upstairs." She pointed up.

Bella followed her behind quietly as different thoughts raced through her mind, wondering what was going on.

"Here, ma'am." She whispered before grinning big and walking away.

Bella's placed her hands against the door, tapping it a few times.

"Come in." She heard a husky, sleepy voice say:

She fanned herself with my palm, trying to calm the heat that had rushed to her face, before pushing the door with a smile.

She looked towards the bed, her smile dropping immediately as tears formed in her eyes the next second.

She saw her newlywed husband lying half-naked with her twin sister in his hands.

He raised his head to look at her before turning to look at her sister in his arms.

"Shit." He cursed slowly, dropping his head back to the pillow.

Bella swallowed her sobs, her hands coiling into a fist.

"How dare you?" She whispered, broken.

He slowly detached his arms around her sister, getting out of bed. He was still in his shorts.

He picked his trousers up from the floor, putting them on, before grabbing her hand and dragging her out of the room.

"What the fuck are you doing in my room?" He glared at her.

She stood still for a moment before chuckling bitterly.

"I just caught you in bed with my sister a day after our wedding, and this is all you would say." She whispered, trying hard to push back down the painful sob, trying to escape her lips.

He looked at her unfazed, saying nothing.

"I hate you both." Bella whispered, looking up into his eyes.

"I promise you will all pay for this pain." She glared at him.

"Listen, let me make it clear to you, Bella. You will do nothing for Baliey. If you think even as much as messing up her life even a little, I promise you that I will make your life miserable.. He pointed at her.

He shoved her away to the side before making his way back to the bedroom.

"One last thing: I don't want to hear a word about this from anyone." He said this before walking away.

She felt tears roll down her cheeks. Turning around, she made her way out of there fast, but not before catching sight of a smirk from Tina on her way out.

She ran to her apartment, locking the door behind her, leaning against it, and slowly sliding to the floor.

She finally let the tears flow freely.

Her whole life flashed before her eyes over again, all the sacrifices she made for her sister.

Bella Liam Harrison is the last child of the Harrison's family, among three.

She had gone into exile from her own country ten years ago after taking the blame for a drug-related crime that her twin sister Bailey was involved in.

She could still remember that day as the betrayal of her family flashed through her head like a broken video tape recorder.

She had just been summoned by her father to his study, and she couldn't help but wonder why her and her father's relationship had been a little bit rocky after she announced that she would like to study programming instead of law.

He had always wanted her to be a lawyer, so I had to help her brother out in the family business later in the future.

She remembers standing in front of his study at exactly 11:28 p.m. late in the night, knocking on his door with sweaty palms and a nervous expression on her face.

"Come in." His deep voice answered, sending shivers down her spine.

How she wished she ran back to her room that night.
