Alexander's pov

I drank a glass of wine, I hate the smell of blood, it makes me puke, it's funny right??

I think I'll be writing for you guys to see because here's the funny news of the century - I'm a mute, that's what the vampires know me as. A crown prince who could not speak - that's weird.

I'm a lover of books on war and adventure, in my personal space, I have a library. The library contains different kinds of books, not to brag tho but I have completed the books in the library up to four, or five times. I opened a book on history and began reading, I was getting to the interesting part of the book when the sound of a glass shattering broke my concentration.

Looking at the intruder, he was launched into space, he kept quiet as he knew that I hated a word with my every being - sorry.

I turned my eyes away from him as he coughed out blood, he stood up and bowed fearfully leaving my presence. I sighed as I wondered if the powers I was embedded with were a blessing or a curse. Ever since I was a little boy, I found out that great powers lie in me, the possession of such powers from a young age made me a weirdo as people were afraid anytime they were allowed to speak in my presence. This is one of the main reasons why I was considered a mute.

Looking outside the window, I saw the freedom being displayed by the birds, I yearned for the freedom displayed by the bird, not locked up in a cage where I tried all possible means to be free - my being.

"There's no need to be afraid of who you are, whenever you're bored, feel free to talk to me" I heard a voice in my head.

"Who are you?" I asked curiously

"I have no name, I can only be named by my host," the voice said.

This is where my weakness lies, I could be good at any other thing but I'm not good at giving out names to anything, I thought about it and decided to name the voice after my name

"You're called Alex," I said

"What a weird name" the voice replied.

I was already getting angry, the voice should get lost for all I care

"I'd rather be called peaches than Alex" the voice teased.

Mission accomplished, name found

"It's your name then, enjoy," I said

I finally had some peace, I could not be bothered as I stepped out of the room.

Going out to the training grounds, I was clothed in a white robe with a silver sash along my waist, my long blue hair had silver strands in it, blessed with a golden body as my slender neck had an eagle tattoo resting comfortably on it, a sword tattoo laid comfortably on my slender hands, my slender palm laid a silver sword having a golden handle, a black belt slayer sword waist sheath scabbard containing a golden sword having a silver handle laid peacefully on my waist.

I headed towards the training grounds and I began training the swords on a dummy, after a while, I stopped as sweat was dripping all over my face, and the tip of my hair had sweat drops which were already staining the dress.

A towel was handed over to me, I looked in the direction where the towel came from and I realized that it came from Liam, my bosom friend.

Liam was the only person who could get close to me, without being shaken by the fact that I was a "monster", he had stayed with me for a long period and could be considered my close confidant, my eyes scanned through him searching for injuries as I apologize for my actions earlier

I scribbled on my book as he read my book, it's stated

"Sorry about earlier " he read

He looked at me with worry etched on his face, Liam was an orphan who I met and called my own, Liam's parents died during a war outbreak leaving Liam to himself, Liam was castigated by the vampire race as a murderer as he was almost stoned to death. I happened to walk through that particular place and because of the fear of the vampire race towards me, they released him to me, this began the relationship of a confidant between a crown prince and a murderer.

I didn't know what was running through his mind, my black eyes stared at him and he bowed, he looked at me, he was the only person who understood my gestures, my gaze, my expression. He finally opened his mouth and spoke

"I'm fine, no injuries," Liam said.

I looked at him and my facial expression softened, I scribbled another word as I showed him another word

"Will you follow me to the library??" He read

"Sure," he replied.

He handed over a silver mask to me, I had a confused expression on my face, and he chuckled as he said

"You attract attention wherever you go"

I collected the silver mask as I wore it on my face, the only visible parts of me were my eyes and my mouth. Liam and I walked out of the training grounds and headed towards the library. I guess Liam was right, we attracted attention, Liam was a young guy in his early twenties, having an ivory skin tone, donned a blue robe with a red sash tied to his waist; his long silver hair reached his waist region; having a crown tattoo on his neck region, on his left ankle laid an ankle chain laying peacefully while black fitted slippers designed his feet, everyone was curious on who the silver-masked guy was, not knowing that the one who was on a silver mask was the "monster" they are scared of.

We entered the library, I went to the history section while Liam went to the war section. The two of us read the books quietly. They finished reading as they left the library which was on the outskirts of the city.

The expression on my face says "Let's visit the human realm"

Liam smirked as the two of us teleported to the human realm.

We needed a job so that we could interact with humans without any suspicions. We got into the fashion industry as we saw the position and we applied for it.

I entered the office and the one I met was a young lady, there had been no lady who had been able to touch my heart and I wondered if I had a heart, the two of our eyes met as the word proceeded out of our mouths at the same time.

"Mate"

I was shocked, for the first time a mute spoke, and the word that proceeded out of my mouth was filled with emotions I can't describe.
