Chapter 3 Temporary Arrangement

As they drove, Albert couldn't help but think about the situation he was in. He was married to a woman he didn't trust, and he had no idea what she was capable of. He thought about Kylee and how she had manipulated him into this situation.

After a while, they arrived at Albert's mansion. It was a grand estate with beautifully manicured lawns and a large swimming pool.

Aurora's eyes widened as she looked around. "This is amazing," she said.

Albert nodded. "Yes, it's one of my favorite properties," he said.

He led her inside and showed her to her room. It was a beautifully decorated room with a large bed and a private bathroom.

Aurora looked around, looking impressed. "This is beautiful," she said.

Albert nodded. "I'm glad you like it," he said. "But remember, this is just a temporary arrangement. As soon as I can figure out a way to get out of this marriage, I will."

Aurora nodded, looking scared. "I understand," she said.

Albert turned to leave, but then he stopped. "One more thing," he said. "If Kylee calls you, I want you to let me know immediately. I need to know what she's thinking, and I need to be prepared."

Aurora nodded, looking nervous. "Okay, I will," she said.

Albert nodded. "Good. And I want to talk to you tomorrow. I need to rest now, but tomorrow we will discuss the details of our arrangement and how we will move forward."

Aurora nodded again. "Okay, sounds good," she said.

Albert turned to leave, but then he stopped again. "And Aurora?" he said.

"Yes?" she replied.

"Don't try anything funny," he said. "I'm watching you, and I will not hesitate to take action if you try to cross me."

Aurora looked scared, but she nodded. "I won't," she said.

Albert nodded and then left the room, leaving Aurora alone to settle in.

As he walked away, he couldn't help but wonder what Aurora was thinking. Was she plotting something with Kylee? Or was she genuinely scared of him?

He pushed the thoughts aside and went to his study to make some phone calls. He needed to figure out a way to get out of this marriage and fast.

He sat down at his desk and rubbed his temples. This was a mess, and he had no idea how to fix it.

But one thing was for sure - he would not rest until he had found a way out of this situation.

As Aurora was unpacking her bags, there was a knock at the door. "Come in," she said.

The door opened and a friendly-looking maid came in. "Hi, I'm Maria," she said. "I'm one of the maids here at the mansion. I just wanted to come and introduce myself and show you around your room."

Aurora smiled. "Hi Maria, nice to meet you," she said.

Maria smiled back. "So, this is your room," she said. "You have a private bathroom, and a closet over there. If you need anything else, just let me know. We have a fully stocked kitchen downstairs, and I can bring you anything you need."

Aurora nodded. "Thank you, Maria. That's very kind of you."

Maria smiled. "It's no problem at all. Mr. Albert wants to make sure you're comfortable here. If you need anything, just press the intercom button over there, and I'll come right away."

Aurora nodded again. "Okay, thank you."

Maria turned to leave, but then stopped. "Oh, and one more thing," she said. "Dinner is at 7pm tonight. Mr. Albert would like you to join him in the dining room."

Aurora nodded. "Okay, thank you. I'll be there."

Maria smiled and left the room, leaving Aurora to finish unpacking.

As Aurora was putting away her clothes, she couldn't help but think about the situation she was in. She was married to a man she didn't know, and she was living in his mansion. It was all so surreal.

But she was determined to make the best of it. She would play the role of the perfect wife, and hopefully, she would be able to get out of this situation soon. She still can't believe she got married to one of the richest family. Albert is the CEO of the Jones company.

She finished unpacking and took a deep breath. She was ready to face whatever came next.

As the evening approached, Aurora made her way to the dining room, looking forward to dinner with Albert. But when she arrived, she found that he wasn't there. Maria, the maid, apologized and explained that Albert was working in his study and wouldn't be joining her for dinner.

Aurora felt a pang of disappointment and wondered if she would ever get to know her husband. She ate dinner alone, feeling a sense of isolation in the grand mansion.

As she finished her meal, she couldn't help but think about her mother and how much she missed her. She wondered if she would ever see her again.

After dinner, Aurora decided to explore the mansion and get some fresh air. She walked out into the gardens, enjoying the cool evening breeze.
