Chapter 2 Pain, Humiliation And Accident

I stood there, shivering and in tears, unable to believe what I was seeing. "How could you do this to me, Williams?" I choked out, my voice trembling. "Cheating with my best friend? You told me you had a business meeting."

Williams pulled away from Jessica, his expression remorseless as he wrapped a towel around his body. "Seraphina..." he began, but there was no hint of guilt in his voice.

I turned to Jessica, my heart breaking even more. "You betrayed our friendship, Jessica. How could you sleep with my husband behind my back?"

Jessica smirked, clearly enjoying my devastation. "It's not my fault that I have a great body, Seraphina. Williams came after me."

The words cut deep, and I was too hurt to think clearly. I raised my hand to slap Williams, but he caught my arm mid-air, his grip tight and unforgiving. "Don't you dare," he warned, his voice cold and stern.

I could barely believe it. My husband stood there, cold and remorseless, as if he had done nothing wrong. Instead of pleading for forgiveness, he pushed me back with force. I staggered, almost slipping and falling. Tears streamed down my cheeks.

"You were too blind to see that I lost feelings for you," Williams spat. "You're fat like a pig, Seraphina. No curves, not sexy, can't even dress right. How could I not cheat? You're highly unattractive. You can't make me feel like a man."

The words hit me like a sledgehammer. My entire world seemed to crumble. "How can you say that?" I whispered, my voice barely audible through my sobs. "I loved you, Williams. I gave you everything."

He chuckled cruelly. "You're a liability, Seraphina. Fat, weak, and stupid. Jessica is way better than you in every aspect."

Williams moved back to Jessica, holding her close. She looked at me with a triumphant smile, leaning into him. The sight was too much for me to take.

My heart shattered into a million pieces. I felt like I was drowning in pain and humiliation. The man I loved, the man I trusted, had torn my world apart, and my best friend had been complicit. The betrayal was too deep, the hurt too profound.

Jessica sneered at me, her eyes glinting with malice. "Williams is a great guy, Seraphina. What makes you think you can have him all to yourself? You're stupid to think you have him just because of that silly ring on your finger."

Rage boiled over inside me. I lunged at Jessica, my hands reaching for her as I screamed, but Williams stepped in front of her, his expression cold and protective. "Don't even think about hurting Jessica," he warned, his voice a low, dangerous growl. "You'll have me to contend with."

It was like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from. My heart felt like it had been plucked out of my chest and thrown to the ground, stomped on by my husband and my best friend. Mostly by Williams. The betrayal was suffocating.

I screamed, the sound raw and filled with anguish, as hot tears streamed down my cheeks. "How could you do this to me?" I cried, my voice breaking. "I trusted you, I loved you!"

Williams's eyes were cold, devoid of any remorse. "You were never enough, Seraphina. Look at yourself. How could you think you could keep a man like me satisfied?"

Jessica laughed, a cruel, mocking sound. "Face it, Seraphina, you're nothing compared to me. Williams deserves better, and that's exactly what he's getting."

The room spun around me. I felt like I was going to vomit. Seeing my husband protect Jessica, after I caught them in bed together, was too much to bear. It seemed as though he was ready to hurt me if I so much as touched her.

I staggered back, the weight of their betrayal pressing down on me. My body shook with sobs as I clutched my chest, trying to hold myself together. The love of my life, my husband, stood by another woman-my best friend-and looked at me with disdain.

"You're despicable and heartless," I whispered, my voice trembling. "Both of you."

William just smirked, pulling Jessica closer. "Get out, Seraphina. You're nothing but a liability. Fat, weak, and pathetic."

Jessica smirked at me, enjoying every second of my suffering. "And don't come back," she added. "Williams and I have plans."

I turned and fled from the house, my vision blurred by tears. The pain was overwhelming, consuming every part of me. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of betrayal and heartbreak, unable to find my way to the surface.

Rain poured down in heavy drops as I fled from the house, my vision blurred by tears. The betrayal and heartbreak felt like a grip around my chest, squeezing tighter with every step I took. The cold rain mingled with the hot tears streaming down my face, but I didn't care. I just had to get away.

I ran blindly through the downpour, not paying attention to where I was going. The world around me was a blur of headlights and darkness, my sobs drowned out by the thunderous rain. My heart was shattered, each step fueled by the agony of Williams's and Jessica's cruel words.

Suddenly, there was a blinding flash of headlights directly in front of me. I barely registered the sound of screeching tires on wet pavement before the impact.

The car knocked me off my feet, and I felt my body hit the cold, hard ground. Pain exploded through me, and the world spun wildly.

For a brief moment, I was aware of the rain pounding on my face, mixing with the blood trickling from a cut on my forehead.

The driver's panicked shouts were distant and muffled, like they were coming from underwater.

Darkness crept in from the edges of my vision, and I felt my consciousness slipping away.

As I lay there on the rain-soaked street, the pain and cold fading into numbness, my last thought was of Williams's betrayal and the life growing inside me.
