Jordan's POV
Immediately I saw her holding onto the stone, which was just down the slope and hoping for a helper. I remembered the scene that played earlier in the clan's class.
I looked directly into her eyes, she looked timid and helpless. It's obvious she had been stucked all day in the woods. But she was just a kid, between the age of thirteen and fifteen. Why then were there so many wolves after her life, could she have done something wrong?
After I helped her escape the woods, she felt so excited and immediately dropped down from the horse.
I wondered in amazement as I observed her approaching. She knelt next to me in such a concerned manner as if she had the healing ability to heal my friend who was already badly injured.
"Hey kid," I assumed.
"What we're you doing all alone in the woods, or don't you know it's dangerous?"
She smirked and instead showed traces of concern.
"I'm so sorry for your friend, if you hadn't bumped carelessly into the situation, hopefully, your brother wouldn't be in such a bad state." She blabbed.
"Wait a minute, are you claiming I interfered or helped you," I questioned.
"It's obvious you interfered." she explained.
"I never begged for your help, you only decided to show off, and now, look what it's caused." She prattled.
I clucked as I was taken aback at her manners of insincerity. She should be an absolute ingrate. Not, even an ink of remorse. I felt disgusted.
"By the way, my name is Sapphire."
She stretched out her hand for a handshake, but I hesitated.
She's just a kid, of what use is her handshake to me.
I was still feeling bewildered trying as much as possible to get help for my best friend who at this stage was still yelping in pain. Perhaps, I should rush him home to the healing, but we were still far away, from the Lightsteel Ocean Clan and Flynn, the Oracle had already vanished, leaving us all alone to our fate.
"Perhaps I can help," Sapphire interrupted,
"but first, I'll need to know your name at first."
Immediately she uttered I can help, I was reminded of Flynn's words; "His visions hinted at a force that sought to exploit the elemental powers controlled by both of us and had sought to restore the balance to normalcy when he was interrupted by the ongoing conflict."
"But, what did he mean by both of us?" I inquired and pondered deeply.
"Jordan" I uttered explicitly.
But the whole drama was impeded when a middle aged lady in company of some enforcers walked up to her exchanging pleasantries.
Sapphire immediately identified her as Auntie Rebecca and had heard so much of her by Auntie Susan. Both exchanged a warm hug.
"Auntie Rebecca meet Jordan." she tried introducing me to Auntie Rebecca that we saved her life and would like her to help us get treatment for his friend.
"Sweetheart, you know, you hardly know who's who in the woods, and from the ordeal as explain by Susan, we've got to be very careful."
"So, let's go." She ordered.
Looking through the the entire pack, it's obvious we'd been abandoned to our fate. I held Zane's hand tightly, he held mine too, in alliance to our brotherhood, though he was still wailing in pain.
I almost dropped a trillion tears gushing down my cheeks as I stared gracefully at his cheering eyes which was already fading out. He's just a promising he-wolf, I can't wash him waste away, never.
My energy was rekindled as I forced him into the horse again. This time around, we rode faster than ever, Zane, must live, was the slogan.
But why was the oracle silent, he had all amount of power to heal Zane and order him back to normalcy, so why the silence. I remember vividly the message I received from the clan's elder, was it a punishment for trying to run away?
"No, the goddess wouldn't be that wicked," I assumed, still determined to find healing for Zane.
"Zane, Zane," I yelled. He signalled a yes, indicating his consciousness and once again leaped back to his preferred position.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine soon," I promised.
My consciousness was suddenly alighted to the hovering bird in the sky, what was it's significance? Or was it a rogue spying?
As if my assumptions were right, the rogue suddenly drew closer, wingling around in a bid to distract or cause choas, and as a result, launch an attack.
"Oh, not again," as I needed to get to a hospital or at least a healer as fast as possible, but yet, the rougues never gave up. Was there any special importance attached to us, I never know? They were still adamantly poised towards attacking and if possible cart away with us.
But no, that's never gonna happen as my wolf was already exasperated. I heard a cry of turmult spanning above the atmosphere.
Any cry of turmult from my wolf is usually a terrific one as it awakens my supernatural abilities, causing my inner strength exhausted and igniting an horror of the other world.
The rogues finally clustered, numbering seven altogether, letting out a common howling sound, cycling in the atmosphere with a common pattern, and with an advanced attack lodge, they got hold of my best friend Zane, this alone was the G-spot needed to set the rogues ablast.
My fist clasps together, throwing my whole body into vibration, with my whole face turning pale and my skin flushed, my wolf howled annoyingly, sending forth dispair into the biosphere. A sudden clash of thunder strike, provokes the atmosphere, putting the rogues into jeopardy.
By now, the rogues were disappearing one after the other, leaving about two of them who were already weak, thus falling down dead. But wait a minute, where's Zane, I looked around and couldn't catch a glimpse of him. Were could he be taken to, and where do I begin the search for him?
