I tried to plead with him, to beg him to let me go, but he just laughed. "You're not going anywhere," he sneered. "You're mine now."
I felt like a prisoner in my own home, trapped in a living nightmare. I longed to see my friends and family, to feel the warmth of the sun on my face, to taste the sweetness of freedom. But all of that was denied to me, stolen by Alex's cruelty.
As the days passed, I grew weaker and weaker, my body and spirit drained by the constant fear and anxiety. I knew I had to find a way out, but I didn't know how. I was trapped, alone and helpless, at the mercy of a monster.
And then, one day, something changed. Michael's demeanor shifted, his eyes gleaming with a new intensity. I knew that look, knew what it meant. He was planning something, something bad. And I knew I had to be ready.
I wandered around the house, my eyes scanning every room, every corner, every surface. But there was no sign of a cell phone. Michael had taken mine, and I knew he wouldn't leave his own lying around. I was completely cut off from the outside world, trapped in this prison with no way to call for help.
As I searched, my mind wandered to my best friend, Victoria. I missed her so much, missed our late-night conversations, our silly jokes, our deep talks. I wondered if she was looking for me, if she was worried about me. I hoped she was, I hoped she was doing everything she could to find me.
I felt a pang in my heart, a mix of sadness and longing. I wished I could talk to her, wished I could tell her where I was, wished I could hear her voice. But I knew it was impossible, at least for now. I was trapped, alone and helpless, with no way to reach out to the one person who could help me.
I slumped down on the couch, feeling defeated and hopeless. But then, something caught my eye. A small piece of paper, tucked away in a corner of the room. It was a receipt, from a local store. But on the back, there was a phone number, scribbled in hasty handwriting. I recognized the number, it was Victoria's. My heart skipped a beat as I realized what this could mean. It was a lifeline, a chance to escape. And I knew I had to take it.
My heart racing, I quickly scanned the room, my mind flashing back to that fateful day when Alex had hit me for the first time. I had been trying to call Victoria, my best friend, and he had caught me, his anger and jealousy boiling over. The phone had slipped from my grasp, falling under the bed as I cowered in fear.
Now, as I remembered that moment, I knew exactly where to look. I dropped to my hands and knees, my eyes scanning the dusty floor beneath the bed. And then, I saw it - the phone, still lying there, forgotten in the chaos of that terrible day.
My heart pounding, I reached under the bed, my fingers closing around the phone. It was dusty, but it looked intact. I pulled it out, my eyes fixed on the screen. The battery was dead, but I knew I had to try. I had to hope that Sarah was still on the other end, waiting for me to call back.
With shaking hands, I plugged the phone into the charger, my eyes fixed on the screen as it slowly came to life. The minutes ticked by, feeling like hours, as I waited for the phone to charge enough to make a call. But finally, the screen flickered, and I saw the familiar icon of the phone app. My heart skipped a beat as I dialed Victoria's number, my fingers trembling with hope.
"Victoria, I'm in trouble," I blurted out, my voice low and urgent. "I need your help. I'm at Michael's house, and I can't leave. He's been hurting me, Michael. I'm scared. Go with my flow and please don't ask any questions, I'll explain everything later. Just listen and help me, please."
I took a deep breath and continued, my words spilling out in a rush. "I need you to come get me, Victoria. I need you to come now, Please, Victoria you have to come. I can't take this anymore, just sneak into the compound secretly and throw a stone at my window so I can know its you"
I paused, my heart pounding in my chest. I could hear Victoria's voice on the other end, her words of reassurance and support. "I'm on my way, girl. I'll be there in 10 minutes. Just hang in there, okay?"
I nodded, even though she couldn't see me. "Okay, Victoria I'll be waiting. Please hurry."
I hung up the phone, my hands shaking with fear and adrenaline. I knew I had to move fast, before Michael realized what I was doing. I crept out from under the bed, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of him. The coast was clear, for now. I made my way to the front door, my heart pounding in my chest. I could feel the weight of my escape plan settling in, like a ray of hope in a desperate situation. I was going to make it out of there, and I was going to make it out alive.
Michael came Inside few minutes later to give me something to eat at that moment when he dropped the food Victoria threw a stone at the window to let me know she is around, I shivered and glared at Michael, I also glared at the window
Michael's eyes narrowed as he saw my gaze fixed on the window. "What's going on?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.
I didn't answer, my eyes still fixed on the window, my heart racing with excitement and fear. I knew Victoria was out there, waiting for me.
Michael's eyes followed mine, and he saw the stone on the windowsill. His face darkened with anger. "You're trying to escape, aren't you?" he snarled, his voice dripping with venom.
I didn't respond, my eyes locked on his, my heart pounding in my chest. I knew I had to keep him distracted, had to keep him from going outside.
Michael took a step closer to me, his eyes blazing with anger. "You think you can outsmart me?" he sneered. "You think you can escape me? Dont even think of doing that do you understand?"
I stood my ground, my eyes fixed on his, my heart racing with fear. I knew I had to be brave, had to be strong.
Just then, we heard a loud crash from outside. Michael's head jerked towards the sound, his eyes narrowing. "What was that?" he slumped and growled.
I knew it was Victoria, creating a diversion to distract Michael. I knew it was my chance to escape. I took a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest, and made a run for the door.
