Chapter 4 You're Pregnant

Chantel POV

My head feels so heavy right now, and it's really aching me, I don't feel like opening my eyes, so I continued laying on the cozy bed. The AC made me want to keep sleeping until eternity. After all, I rarely sleep in a room with an Ac on. Wait! Something isn't right, this is definitely not my room. I slowly opened my eyes and the interior decoration of the room made me gasp.

"What the hell is this? I'm probably still sleeping.'' I slapped my cheeks and confirmed I'm really asleep. Then how on earth is my room suddenly this beautiful. I tried to remember what happened yesterday, but then a hard ache hit me like a tornado. "Ahhh''

"What the fuck is this!" I exclaimed as I sat up pulling off the duvet from my body and to my surprise, I'm laying naked!

Just then it began to flash back to my memory. It was my birthday and I met a really handsome guy that fulfilled my birthday wish for me without taking any penny. I purposely got tipsy to enhance my courage and boldness. A smile appeared on my face as the memories of how fantastic our night was came rushing into my head. He made my first night worth it.

Standing to my feet, I scanned my eyes on the floor searching for my panties but couldn't find them. "What the hell!" I exclaimed, did he take my panties with him?

I walked to the bathroom in search of him and as expected, he wasn't there. Furthermore, I opened the wardrobe and there was nothing in there. "I hate being frustrated!" I yelled and just then I sighted it on the nightstand, properly arranged.

Without wasting any more time I took a really fast bath then walked out naked made my way to the nightstand. I took my clothes and put them on, just as I was about to pick up my mobile phone from the nightstand, I heard a knock on the door. I took my handbag before walking to the door.

"Good afternoon ma, your order ma." A waitress with a food tray said as she stretched her hand towards me.

"Good afternoon?" I asked as I immediately pressed the side button in my phone. My eyes almost bulged out in shock, noon? This is ridiculous!

"Ma, your food?" The waiter repeated, I looked up at him, I totally forgot about that.

"I didn't place any order, plead cross-check." I said, and he pointed at a tag on the tray which bears my room number.

"In that case I can't reject the food." I said as I took the tray from him and walked inside. The minute I opened the covered food I realized how hungry I was. I munched down the hamburger and followed it up with a cup of tea. This is so delicious.

After eating, I walked to the mini refrigerator in the room and took a bottle of water and gulped it down. "What a good way to start my morning."

Walking out of the room with smiles, I made my way to the elevator. I really need to head to work immediately, I've already been marked absent for my first part-time job which was supposed to end by 12. I waved down a taxi immediately and hopped in. "To Clifford avenue." I said to him as I relaxed back on the seat.

"We are here, mas." The driver said to me the minute we arrived, and I opened the door and walked out.

After paying him, I rushed into the supermarket where I work part-time and was met with the devilish face of my boss. "Chantel, what on earth are you doing here by this time? You're supposed to be here the minute it's twelve!" He said in a low tone with gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry, sir." I apologized with feigned watery eyes.

"Get to work!" He yelled again, and I scurried towards the counter and sighed on the paper indicating my presence.

Throughout my working hours my mind was fully on what happened the previous night. Occasionally I find myself smiling foolishly at myself. The thought of how those beautiful hands touched every single part of my body and how that juicy tongue worshiped every part of me. At one point, I had to close my legs as his thoughts alone were doing something to me down there.

I rushed back home when my shift was over. I wanted to eat something and probably prepare for my next part-time job which is at the Elites restaurant. Furthermore, I think that's one of my jobs that is less stressful. Reaching home I realized that Sonia is back. A broad smile appeared on my lips as I pushed the door open.

"You're finally back!" She exclaimed as she walked towards me and gave me a tight hug.

"Yes, how was your trip?" I asked as we sat on the sofa facing each other.

"It was splendid, everything went as planned. Chantel, you look overly happy, do you want to tell me anything?" She inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, guess?" I asked and looked anywhere but her face.

"Yesterday was your birthday, amm...you got drunk?" She asked with squinted eyes.

"Yesss..." I replied, indicating there's still more.

"You hooked up with a hot guy?" She asked and I nodded.

"Are you serious? Tell me all about it!" It was really fun telling her every single detail that I recall. Time flies really fast, and before we knew it, it was dawn already.

Life went by as usual, paying visits to my mom and going to my part-time jobs. Nothing different, it then seemed to me that the money I'm making from the three places I work doesn't pay enough. Then I decided to find another part-time job and in no time I found one. But then the stress hit me hard like an unannounced storm. Most times I forget to eat my lunch and dinner, at a point it becomes normal.

"Awake already?" Sonia asked with a sleepy eye as she walked into my room and saw me combing my hair.

"I need to be at the restaurant before the opening hour, I promise to eat there." I assured her as I walked to her and pecked her cheeks.

"Chantel you look so pale, it's everything okay?" She asked and I nodded.

I would rather not burden her with the fact that I've been feeling dizzy lately and the urge to puke. Most times I run to the sink in the name of puking, but then it will only be a yellowish substance. I don't have enough money to run tests on myself neither do I have a health insurance policy.

"I will be on my way.'' I added as I began to walk out, but then Sonia rushed to the door and locked it and took the keys.

"What's the meaning of that?" I asked in annoyance.

"Please eat something, let me quickly get tea and a loaf of bread for you at least." She gasped as she walked to the kitchen.

After a few minutes, she came back to the spot I sat and gave me the tea and two loaves of bread. I collected it from her and tried bringing it close to my mouth, but then I felt a rush of nausea that made me place my hand on my lips and forced back the food tray into her hands.

Thanks to the sink in the living room, I puked with all my veins popping out. I didn't let out anything besides a whitish substance. I felt so tired afterward. "What's wrong with you?" Sonia asked as she helped me sit on the sofa.

"I need to visit the hospital for check up, I'm not feeling fine." I said voice.

"I will call a nurse to come here, since you look so tired." Sonia said as she put on her flip-flops and walked to the door but turned towards me again.

"Did you take some pills after having a night with the stranger?" Sonia asked, and my brains almost erupted in shock.

"No I didn't." I replied with my mouth ajar.

"It's close to three months now." She added as she walked back to me.

"Chantel, we'll go to the hospital to avoid making false assumptions." She continued as she sat beside me and gave me a light hug.

"There's a high probability that you are pregnant."
