Chapter 5 KISS THE BRIDE

Grandma Scott!"

"Grandma Scott!!"

"Grandma Scott!!?" David was making a fuss as he made his way to his grandma's living room to speak to her.

Grandma Scott could hear him call her name from the hallway but ignored him. Mad dogs bark and he is supposed to bark when she's imposing her own laws and rules to him.

She was listening to her lawyer who was giving her advice on her sudden decision to sign off half of her wealth to a woman who no one knows for sure if she's actually pregnant for her grand son or not. But there was nothing to argue or advice about.

She has made her point clear. That woman is coming into their family. If not for anything, she loves the challenge she has in her eyes each time she looks at her.

She's someone who's really fit for someone like her grandson. No one can dare him but she did. If not, how on earth did she get pregnant for David?

The house won't be so boring with her. And lastly, that woman reminded her so much about her daughter in law who she lost so many years ago.

"Mrs. Scott, we can still think this through or have her run a test which will confirm if she's really pregnant for your grandson or not."

"It's a waste of time." She waved that away with her hand. She was already anticipating her grandson who she can almost hear her footsteps in front of her door.

She was staring at the door, counting down when he would open it or would he change his mind?

No he won't. She smiled to herself before turning to look at the confused lawyer.

"No matter what happens Mr. Lawyer, David is going to marry her and I'm signing off half of my wealth to her."

That's when the door flew open and the aggressive looking grandson matched into the room.

"Grandma! What do you think you're doing?"

"What I know how to do best is to clean up after your mess."

"That's wrong!!" He was really angry and that's what she wanted. The drive of his anger made her feel so satisfied.

The fact that he's going to reject her properly and at the same time do as she says was a big thrill to her.

"I'm not going to marry her."

"I know."

"You know? And yet, you met up with her without my consent and what's that I'm hearing about a proposal to sign off half of our wealth to her!!!"

"It's my wealth not yours." She said calmly as she proceeded to sign the papers which the lawyer offered her.

"Lawyer Kim, aren't you going to stop her! You know she's old and is slowly becoming miscalculative and yet..."

"Says someone who slept with a woman and claimed not to be in his right mind." Grandma Scott snapped. David has never been so shaken in his entire life.

"Look David,"she wore a serious look on her face while adjusting her glasses, "The wealth is mine and she's carrying my Great grandchild. So I don't mind giving her all I own or half of it."

"My father labored for you before he died!! He did everything you asked and the decisions you made for him killed him!"

She slammed her hands on the table, "David, I wont have you reopen past wounds. If you don't want to marry her, it's your decision not mine but from tomorrow, she will come to live with us.

But bear this in mind, I'm taking your name off my will."

"Grandma Scott!!!" He called. He has seen so many sides to his grandmother but this was a new one.

If not for Dustfinger...he clenched his fist staring at that fat woman as she sat down calmly as if she hadn't done anything wrong in her entire life and made him more angry.

No amount of words or black mail will change her mind at this rate.

"Grandma Scott, please I beg of you. I can't live with her for a second. We don't get along. We can't get along. I might die if I spend even a single day with her."

"I know that David but like I said. The choice is up to you and my lawyer is still here. Your decision determines what tomorrow will hold for you."

"There's someone else I'm in love with."

"The girl from college whom you were never interested in making your wife and leaving her alone? David can you even listen to yourself and the things you say with your own mouth? You loved her?"

"I still do and I want to spend ths rest of my life with her. If you let me off the hook this time, I swear I will get married. I will marry Natalie and make her your grand daughter in law."

"What would happen to that woman and my great grandchild?" David was mute. "I'm sorry David but I gave you all the time in the world to become a man but no, you always chose to be a boy. This time, I will make you a man myself__ a father at that." She said giggling.

He clenched his fist. His teeth tightened. Fresh hate burned in his heart for Dustfinger. "I'm never going to love her." He muttered.

"That's entirely not my business."

DAHILA

"Mom, Dad." I called as I sat both of them down, they were looking at me just as I was looking at them. I sighed out holding their hands, "Mom I'm pregnant." I announced.

My heart was pounding as I waited for their reaction. I held my breath, unsure of what to expect.

"What?" my mother exclaimed in shock, her face turning white.

My father was silent, staring at me with a blank expression.

"How?" my mother asked, her voice shaking. "You don't even have a boyfriend and you're not even married,"

I took a deep breath and explained the situation to them, telling them about the events that led up to this moment.

They listened in silence, their eyes wide with disbelief.

"So are you saying that you're pregnant for Mrs. Scott's grandson?"

"Yes mother."

From their eyes, they were already warming up to me. "She's willing to sign off half of her wealth to me if only I would marry his son."

My mother's eyes widened at this revelation. "What?" she exclaimed. "You can't possibly say no to this!"

"What did you tell this grandmother?" Father asked.

"I didn't reject the offer."

"That's my daughter. This is what I've been advising you all these while. Hook a rich man to you and let the other problems take care of itself."

Really? Father Really? They're just happy because we're talking about Mrs. Scott otherwise I would've been roasted for life.

You're proud of your daughter because she's pregnant for a wealthy man. Oh jeez!

Would I be like that with my own child too?

Hey babe growing in me, don't you ever test your mother's patience.

I'm going to be very upset if something like this happens to you...maybe it will be a different case if it's the son of the president who got you pregnant.

I rubbed my tummy endlessly.

Money actually speaks louder than voice. Just how money changed everybody's language towards me.

Including myself accepting to marry that monkey won't have happened so easily if his grandmother didn't step in and decide to bless me.

My phone started ringing, it was grandma Scott calling me. I scrambled for my phone immediately and took the call, "Good evening ma" I greeted clearing my throat.

"My granddaughter in law. How are you doing today?"

"I'm fine ma'am."

"What of my baby? Kicking very well right?"

"Yes ma'am."

Not like I've felt the kicking before. Baby are you actually kicking or not? I don't even know but I guess I have to play along.

"Can you come over to the house today? I want to be closer to my great grand child, I'm sorry."

"No dear, you don't have to be sorry. I will be coming right away."

"No slow down, take it slow with that baby. I will send Johan to come pick you up now."

She said and hung up. How richly! Everything about her screams money and class.

"What did she say?" Mother asked. She was so happy that her daughter is pregnant when she's not even dating or married.

This is so embarrassing but what am I to say? I suddenly have a new found love for what David's p*nis did to me.

Someone like Mrs. Scott won't have noticed in me in this life if not for his generosity with his sperm.

DAVID

I'm never going to care about her.

I'm never going to want her.

I'm never going to need her.

I'm never going to love her.

I will hate her for as long as I live.

All these marriage things and stuff, I can't believe I'm being forced into a life I've always tried to stay away from.

Not like I'm getting married is the problem but I'm getting married to my worst enemy. Someone who's voice does nothing but make me angry, someone who's face isn't even pleasant to look at.

Someone who is so dirty and foul mouthed

Challenges my authority every single time. I hate her so much.

She ruined my life. She flipped my world upside down and I will never forgive her for that.

She ruined my love with Natalie. If only she had listened to me and aborted that baby instead of listening to my grandmother's generous offer, maybe life would've been easier.

Maybe my grandmother won't have taken this extreme measure of punishing me.

I'm going to revenge. I won't let her marry me so easily.

I'm going to pay her back in her own coin. I will make sure she won't have it all beautiful with me.

*"Do you take Mr. David Scott as your lawfully wedded husband, to stand by him in every moment of his life. In sickness and in health, for better of for worse..."

It's already worse between us. Why the long talk and what is she waiting for before she can say yes?

"Yes I do." She said and our eyes met. I was glaring daggers at her and she was doing the same thing to me.

"You may now exchange rings..." I nearly cut off her finger with the ring, she was screaming in pain with her eyes and I smiled.

Served her right.

I didn't know she would come at me with full force. She took the ring and began to wear it on me, scratching me all through that I nearly gave out a loud screaming sound infront of everyone.

"Darling are you okay?" She asked feigning concern and I wanted to spit on her face.

She was smiling devilishly at me.

"You may now kiss the bride."

No.

I won't kiss the bride.

I can't kiss the bride!!!
