Chapter 3 Heart skippes

Valérie's heart skipped a beat as Alexander's words sent a shiver down her spine. She felt like she was melting into his embrace, her body responding to his touch like a flame to kindling. "I'd be delighted," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the pounding of her heart.

As the night wore on, they danced and laughed together, their masks forgotten in the thrill of their newfound connection. They spoke of everything and nothing, their words flowing like a gentle stream, their minds and hearts connecting on a deep and primal level.

Valérie felt like she'd found a kindred spirit in Alexander, a sense of belonging she'd never experienced before. It was as if they'd known each other for a lifetime, not just a few fleeting hours. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the magic of their encounter.

As the first light of dawn crept into the sky, Alexander led Valérie out into the gardens, the cool night air a welcome respite from the heat of the ballroom. They strolled along the winding paths, their arms entwined, their hearts still racing from the excitement of their encounter.

And then, Alexander stopped, his eyes burning with an inner fire as he gazed into Valérie's soul. "I feel like I've found something special in you, Valérie," he whispered, his voice low and husky. "Something that goes beyond mere mortal connections."

Valérie's heart skipped a beat as she gazed into Alexander's eyes, her senses screaming that she'd found something extraordinary in him too. "I know exactly what you mean," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the pounding of her heart.
