Chapter 6 Anticipation: Keturah Ama.

As Sally and Regee stepped out of the car and onto the sun-kissed pavement, their excitement was palpable. Sally with her waxed all- up afro and bright yellow sundress, grinned from ear to ear, her eyes shining with anticipation. Beside her was Regee, with her sleek hazel hair and skort with cowl neck blouse , nodded in agreement, her hands already clutching a freshly brewed coffee and a carefully curated shopping list.

The duo set off towards the mall, their footsteps light and energetic, their chatter filling the air. They discussed everything from their favorite brands to their latest celebrity crushes,

"Regee can't lie, that rude dude is stunning hot dripping chocolate hot.

Men!"

Sally said giggling.

Sally couldn't help but swoon over the handsome stranger who she knew nothing about.

"Oh my gosh, did you see him?"

Sally whispered as Regee opened the malls glass door.

Sally's eyes wide with excitement. "Those piercing blue eyes and that chiseled jawline... he's absolutely stunning but rude tho!

Regee just nodded vigorously, pretending to listen to Sally's sudden fantasy about a very rude guy.

Regee said with a smirk.

And those charming teeth,I'm a goner!" Sally playfully fanned herself with her hand, and Regee giggled.

Sally's conversation about the rude fellow was filled with squeals, laughter, and dreamy sighs, as she indulged in a delightful game of "what ifs" and "maybes".

The whole conversation about the rude guy just fueled the annoyance Regee has for the man.

Well, they delved into other topics including the meal they would have after the shopping spree.

Their laughter and giggles echoing through the parking lot. With each step, their enthusiasm grew, their shopping spree adventure awaiting them like a treasure trove of fashion delights.

"How I love shopping!"

Regee exclamed.

"Ooh, try this one on!" Sally exclaimed, holding up a flowy, pastel pink dress. "It'll look amazing with your skin tone!"

Regee hesitated, "I don't know... I'm not sure about the color."

"Come on, it'll be cute! And it's on sale!" Sally persuaded, already heading towards the dressing room.

Regee reluctantly followed, emerging minutes later in the dress. Sally clapped her hands, "See? I told you it would look great! You have to get it!"

The price?

Isn't way alot of cost?

Regee asked, worried.

"Well, i ain't gonna lie, girlllll

$300 is a lot."

Sally said chuckling.

"But Next!"

Sally said holding up a sleek, black dress, "What about this one? It's more your style."

Regee nodded, "That's a great choice too! You'll look so chic and sophisticated. But... we should also try this sparkly one..." She held up a glittering, silver dress, and Sally rolled her eyes good-naturedly.

Their conversation continued, bouncing between opinions, suggestions, and laughter, as they explored the racks, trying on dresses, and sharing their honest thoughts.

"Wait a minute, are you shopping just for me? "

Regee asked, dropping the yellow dress she was holding.

"No darling, you'll need a good looking Cheer lady, who is definitely me. So I'm shopping too munchkin".

Sally said picking up the yellow dress.

As they browsed through the racks, Regee held up a flowing white dress, admiring its delicate lace details. "What do you think, should you try it on?" she asked her friend.

Sally scrutinized the dress, her brow furrowed in thought. "Hmm, it's beautiful, but might be a bit too formal for the job of a cheer lady, don't you think?"

" Yup!"

Said Regee admist giggles.

Regee nodded, agreeing. "You're right. something more fun and playful, should be worn. "

The friends continued their search, chatting and laughing as they explored the store.

They oohed and ahhed over a bright pink dress with ruffles, debated the merits of a sleek black jumpsuit, and giggled over a daringly short dress with a daring cutout.

As they tried on dresses in the fitting room, their conversations turned into a flurry of "does this look good on me?" and "what do you think of this color?" Regee twirled in front of the mirror, her eyes shining with excitement, while Sally offered honest opinions and helpful styling tips.

Together, they created a fashion show, modeling their favorite finds and striking poses, their friendship and camaraderie shining brighter than any dress.

"Young lady, you ain't striking a pose for Keturah Ama's show."

Sally informed Regee.

I want to be wowed at, don't you get?"

Regee said striking more poses.

I think we've got our choices let's go over the counter and pay.

At counter the lady stood gracefully behind the counter, her warm smile welcoming customers to the store.

Her long, curly black hair cascaded down her back, and her deep brown eyes sparkled with kindness, it could be seen clearly even with her brown frame spectacles.

Her light complexion went well with her beautiful smile.

She wore a stylish blue blouse with a delicate silver necklace, complementing her elegant posture.

Her manicured nails gleamed with a subtle shine, and her gentle hands moved efficiently as she wrapped purchases in tissue paper or rang up sales with a swift precision.

A name tag on her lapel read "scarlet" and her friendly demeanor put even the most hesitant shoppers at ease.

"It's your turn darling"

She said with a bright smile beckoning us to come closer.

They moved swiftly at the checkout counter, Regee and Sally chatted excitedly about their finds. Regee held up her bright pink dress with ruffles admiring its bright color.

"I can't believe I finally found the perfect dress for the event."

Sallysmiled, nodding in agreement. "You look stunning in it, And I love my new black jumpsuit – perfect for the job of a cheer lady.

As the cashier rang up their purchases, Sally said, "Don't worry darling, I got this"

Regee thought for a moment before responding, " I think we'll starve for lunch"

Sally chuckled and handed over her credit card. "Okay, and I'll take advantage of the buy-one-get-one-half-off deal on accessories – score!"

The friends chatted with the cashier, exchanging stories about their shopping adventures and sharing laughter as they completed their transactions.

As they left the store,Regee turned to sally with a grin. "Can't wait to slay this new dresses out and make a real good name for my self"

" Thank you Sally, this is so huge"

Regee said opening the glass mall door

"Regee you know you would do the same for me? "

Sally said tapping her friends back.

Regee smiled back, her eyes sparkling.

"Sure!"
