Chapter 6 Beating Up Cynthia

None of the Alpha's men were in a sensible state to answer so he began to sniff the air to get her scent. It however, was all over the place and it was hard to decern where it was headed, except if he headed out himself and sniffed the corridor. As he turned back, his eyes met with a horror struck Jake who had just arrived at the scene.

"She did this?" was what came out of his mouth. He couldn't believe Olive could take down three men. And three men who were personal bodyguards of The Big Bad Alpha.

Wayne didn't even spare his Beta a look as he dashed out through the door. He needed to find Olive. She shouldn't escape from him... no one did.

As he sniffed the air and followed her scent, he began to hear grunts, winces, and hits. He sped up and found Olive beating the living daylights out of Cynthia at the garden.

Cynthia was trying to fight back and succeeded in landing a few blows on Olive, but she sustained more blows. Her face was red, and her lip was bursted. Olive held her hair and twisted the whole of it badly, making Cynthia scream and try to kick her from the back. But Olive dogded to the right, twisting the hair more and landing a terrible knee-blow on Cynthia's stomach. This made a loud howl erupt from her, with her bending to the ground.

"Olive!" Wayne yelled.

Her eyes widened as his scent filled her whole body and made her stand still. Cynthia was on the ground at her feet while she stood face to face with the Alpha, just a few feet away from him. Fear filled her mind again as she stared at Wayne Knight. She had beaten his men, then tried to escape. And on the way, she had bumped into Cynthia and picked a fight with her.

Right now, she had just been caught by him while she was beating up his mate.

His mate... why did that not sound right to her? Why was she getting this rage because she referred to Cynthia as his mate? Her wolf growled in anger at her, and the sound was audible outside. She shut her mouth immediately.

Wayne's lips tugged into a proud smile as he looked at her, but Olive misunderstood it for an intimidating one. Immediately, her fists curled into a ball and without warning, she attacked The Big Bad Alpha.

The attack came as a surprise for Wayne, but it didn't take him thirty seconds to lock her hands behind her and pull her hair backwards painfully which he instantly regretted immediately she winced.

"What do you think you're doing?" he asked in a low intimidating whisper just behind her ear. She couldn't see him behind her, so she tried to kick his legs. He chuckled and with one pinch to the right spot, Olive was rendered unconscious. He let her fall to the ground softly.

Cynthia sniffed and struggled to get on her feet. She was in pain. Her whole body and scalped ached. Olive was always a strong wolf, one she knew she could never beat in a fist fight. That was why she always tried to bring her down with her authority or father's authority.

Cynthia looked at Olive on the ground, then up at Alpha Knight with pathetic eyes. She sniffed again and let the tears fall.

"Wayne," she cried. He breathed out as he stared at her. She used to be very attractive to him, and as of yesterday, all he wanted to do when he saw her was to tie her to his bed and derive pleasure. But right now? He was disgusted at the sight of her, talk more of getting her laid.

"Alpha," Cynthia called again. She began to move closer to him while feigning pain as she walked.

"Get your things ready, you're going back to The Vrek Cult. Let them know that Olive would be coming with me. She's my mate," he said with a bit of hostility in his voice.

Cynthia's heart fell again. She had cried and hated Olive for hours in Jake's bathroom after hearing she was his mate. But she made herself believe that Wayne had something for her, so he wouldn't accept Olive. And that he would keep her instead. But what was he saying now?

"Wayne, what about me?"

Wayne raised a brow questioningly.

"I... I thought you and I... we had something," she mumbled. Wayne sighed. He wouldn't deny that they had something, something sexual. Other than that, nothing else.

He had had lust over Cynthia's body. But, what was he going to use her body for when the moon goddess had blessed him with a mate? He had heard how pleasurable beyond expression it was to mate with one's mate. And how ecstatic it was to mark her while in action. He wanted that with Olive. He wanted to feel the love of a mate. He wanted to give Olive the feel of the love of a mate.

He raked his hands through his hair at the thoughts he was having. That was unlike him. Love... weird word.

Cynthia had moved closer to him, crossed Olive's body and was going to hug him. He jerked backwards, frightening and surprising her.

"Don't. Don't ever do that," he ordered with a stern voice. He looked at his mate's body and crouched down, then he picked her up and walked away without another word to Cynthia.

Jake was still in the kitchen, helping his men up when Alpha Knight was seen walking past the kitchen door.

Terry gritted his teeth as he saw how he handled Olive with care. He was hating on her already. Jake sighed and continued what he was doing.

"We have to get on the road soon. Balendin is a long way from here," he told the men who were still trying to glare at the Olive their Alpha was carrying away.

"Bitch," he heard Jericho cuss from a corner while a slash against his face slowly healed.
