No more of the events of that night required her to be trapped in a marriage that was only necessary to cover the shame of an annulment. Fanny felt that Dion's family was only using her.
"Why, after this marriage happened, did I even seem to regret asking Dion to take responsibility? Is this what is called regret coming at the end?"
Fanny sighed softly as she thought about her fate line that had to be trapped in this loveless marriage.
Her cell phone rang, causing her to be surprised by the ringing cell phone.
Fanny frowned when she saw the name on her cell phone screen. Who else if not Dion - a husband who was not like other husbands?
"What's wrong?" he asked flatly.
"Where are you?" he asked even more flatly than Fanny's voice.
"At work. To the point. I'm busy!" she said curtly.
Dion let out a rude sigh at that. "Come to my room right now! I have something to talk to you about."
Fanny rolled her eyes lazily. "Alright!" she said, then hung up the call.
"I don't know what my status is when I'm at work. Is it a wife, or just an ordinary employee?" Fanny sighed softly. She hurriedly tidied up the room and replaced the sheets with new ones.
Afterward, she left the room, approaching Dion in his room. I don't know what Dion wanted to talk to her about. Fanny really didn't care, actually.
Knock knock knock!
"Come in!" she ordered then.
Fanny, who had just entered the room, was amazed to see it. So neat and spacious.
'Pretty neat. Apparently, he's just frivolous in his attitude. If it's craftsmanship, it deserves a thumbs up,' she said to herself.
"What's wrong?" she asked later.
Dion stared intently at the woman. "Here, you're just an employee! Even at home, you're nothing more than a substitute wife. Don't be so familiar with the way you treat me, Fanny!"
Dion was apparently emotional hearing Fanny's way of speaking, who really didn't respect him as the boss there.
Fanny, who had just found out about her status there, sighed softly. "I'm sorry, sir. I will be polite to my boss," she said while looking lazily at her own husband's face in front of her.
"Can I help you, Mr. Dion?" he asked later. Really, Fanny couldn't respect the jerk in front of her. It was inappropriate for her to respect a man like Dion.
However, just as Dion opened his mouth, his cell phone rang, a call from his mother. Dion answered the call.
"Yes, Ma?" he asked later.
"Seven o'clock at night, meet Mama. I have something to talk to you about!"
"What do you want to talk about?" asked Dion curiously.
"Just come. We have a lot to talk about. Very important, of course. I'll see you at seven tonight," she said and hung up the call.
Dion sighed rudely and put his phone back on the table.
"We're talking about personal matters. Did you just meet with Mama?" he asked to make sure.
Fanny shook her head. "No, I didn't. Why did I meet with your mom? Is there something I need to do?" she asked later.
"Then why did she want to see me and what did she want to talk about? You must be complaining, right?" he guessed later.
Fanny smiled when Dion correctly guessed that she had just complained to Yuni about Dion divorcing her after Citra recovered from her illness.
"Complain about what, dear Mr. Dion? Is there anything I need to complain to your mother about?" she asked, speaking calmly so that Dion would not suspect her.
Dion looked at her flatly. He also couldn't blame Fanny because there was no evidence, let alone he saw with his own eyes. In fact, her guess was correct if Fanny was telling the truth.
"What did Mr. Dion want to say to me?" asked Fanny later.
Dion looked back at the woman, then sighed harshly. "Never say a word about our relationship. I don't want everyone to know that you are my wife! Because I never intended to make you my wife!"
Fanny smiled wryly. "So do I, honorable Mr. Dion. I gladly accept your mandate. I will not think of you as my husband. Neither here, nor at home!" she sarcastically excused herself and left the room.
Her heart was so angry. Dion had touched her and still hadn't realized the wrong he had done to her. Having sex with her last night, just to fulfill his lust. Not considering that Fanny was his wife.
**
It was seven in the evening. Dion had arrived at his parents' house.
"What's wrong, Ma?" he asked later.
Yuni was still holding back her emotions. In fact, she still looked calmer, even though her hand wanted to strike her son. However, she didn't want to make Fanny tortured by Dion if he knew Fanny told Dion's plan to divorce Fanny after Citra recovered from her illness.
"You guys, have you had intercourse?" she asked unexpectedly.
Dion swallowed his saliva heavily when he heard his mother's surprising question.
"Why would you ask that? As a normal man, of course I've had sex with her," he said matter-of-factly.
Yuni smiled wryly. 'Apparently, you still want to be honest, Dion,' she said to herself. In fact, the woman loved Fanny more than her own child. Because of her actions, Fanny had to lose her chastity.
As a woman and as a mother, of course it hurt to hear the story from her daughter-in-law. Yuni would not let Fanny just walk away from Dion's life just because she was forced to marry Dion.
"That's good. I hope you have a baby soon!"
