Chapter 4 Who Are You

I didn't know what I was doing anymore. I jumped into his arms even though I had earlier stated that I wouldn't grant him a place in my heart even if he came back. He held me steadily and wrapped his hands around my waist.

I felt so loved.

Eventually, I left him. I disengaged from the hug when I remembered all that happened during the past few days when he wasn't around. I had to bring myself to the conclusion that he did not like me the same way I loved him.

He still had this royal robe on, and I had a lot of questions to ask him about that. I needed him to give me answers.

"I'm sorry for abandoning you for the past three days," he told me slowly. "I never meant to, but things didn't work according to my expectations. However, I am back for good, and you can expect me to make it up to you!"

"You don't need to do anything," I replied. "I know you don't love me. All you wanted was a one-night stand and since you got it, I don't think you should have come back. I am doing perfectly well without you!"

I had my plan on the ground. I wasn't going to allow him into my life without any restrictions. I had to make him beg if he wanted to have me.

"You might be doing well without me, but I am not doing well without you," he replied slowly. "During the last few days, I felt dehydrated. I couldn't breathe well, and I couldn't wait for today, when I got to see you again!"

I shook my head in disagreement.

"You know me and you know where I am," I replied. "If you truly wanted me, you could have come to me. You are the strange one here. I don't know anything about you and if someone is supposed to miss others, it should be me!"

"I know, and I'm sorry, but you know that we are fated mates," he told me slowly.

I took a deep breath.

I had been so insensitive before. Now, I can feel the mate bond. My wolf was now acting up. I can't believe that I didn't take note of this before. For sure, he was my mate, but I couldn't take him like that.

This met me so suddenly. Now, I know the reason for our chemistry. The moon goddess had hooked me up with a mate whom I truly loved. However, he was mysterious.

"I can feel it!" I said slowly. "I can feel the mate bond. It's getting more intense as time passes by!"

"Yes, we are fated mates," he reassured me. "I am ready to have a mating ceremony with you. You kept your pride, and you lost it with me. Your virginity is your pride, you know."

I took this in good faith, but there was something which I needed to ask him. I was burning to ask him this question and now was the best time.

"Who are you?" I asked him slowly. "What is your name, and why do you have a royal robe on? Are you, by any chance?"

He held me slowly and looked into my eyes. That was the moment. He didn't talk, but I had confirmed who he was.

Just like I had expected, he was the Alpha of the Pack. I truly expected this but when it was confirmed, I was dazed. I couldn't believe I got involved with an Alpha. He wasn't the ordinary Alpha, he was a very powerful one. Now, I know his name.

His name was Gabby and just from this, I could write a full book about him. I had a chance to ask more questions about him from other people. He was the Alpha of the Starlight Pack where I lived. I was not the outgoing type or else, I would know he was at first sight.

Now, I can see him more clearly. I met him in the dark, so I missed a lot of things about him.

Gabby was a tall man. He was very tall and I admired that. He wasn't tall, lean, and skinny like most men, but instead, he was muscular. He didn't look like a giant, but if he had been a bit taller, he would have been the perfect giant.

Gabby was very handsome, and he could be very cute as well. He had a lot of hair, but it was limited to his head. He didn't have hair all over his body, just like I wanted. Hairy men, to me, looked too much like monkeys.

Gabby's chest had to be the part that I loved so much about his body. I can remember during our first night together, I nibbled at his small nipples. He had a broad chest, and it was like my comfort zone. I felt so safe there.

I loved it when he held me. It made me feel like I was a baby. I felt so small in his hands and this constantly made me feel protected.

Gabby was the perfect man. He passed when it came to physical appearance, behavior, and charisma. He was the best person whom I could choose to spend the rest of my life with.

We had our mating ceremony, and it was held in his mansion. His mansion was very big and this made me wonder how many resources would be spent when building such an edifice. Apart from it being big, it was showered with expensive things. The decoration was one of the best in the region, and it was a thing to be proud of.

Before our mating ceremony, I packed all my important things and left my place to move in with Gabby. He made me throw away old clothes, and he had a new closet for me. He filled it up with new clothes, new robes, and new underwear. The only thing he didn't let me throw away was my red lingerie. He told me it looked so good on me, and he would love to see it again on the night of our mating ceremony.

Of course, I giggled after he said this. I was in love already, and I knew he would never break up with me after the mating ceremony. Both of us wanted to have ourselves as soon as possible.

Finally, the day came. It was a day I would never forget in my life. On that day, I was introduced to my maid, Rosa. She was going to be the one to help me out from now on. I was glad to have her and we had our introductions.

With Rosa's help, I was able to get dressed, and I was ready for my big day. With the elders all around, we said our vows, and officially, we became mates. It was at this point that I discovered that some things were off. We had sealed our mate bond already, but this was when I realised it.

People were streaming in and out and they were eating. Gabby wanted me to be around him, and he held me by my hand and led me to a lot of people. A lot of Alphas' were present to support him, but I had to tell him that I had something to get done. He finally left my hand and I went to see Rosa.

There were a lot of people around us, so I took her to a private space where we could talk without interruptions or being heard by anyone.

"I forgot to ask this before, but doesn't Gabby have any relatives?" I asked slowly. "I thought he had and that I would see them today, but it turns out they aren't present!"

Rosa smiled at me.

"Alpha Gabby is an orphan!" Rosa said slowly. "However, he has two relatives. He has a younger sister and a cousin."

"But I can't find them!" I muttered. "I never knew he had a younger sister. She should have come to see me. Is she there in the hall? I would like to meet her!"

"No, she is not around!" Rosa smiled at my thoughtfulness. "She went to spend a holiday with their cousin who is also a female."

"Oh!" I said slowly. "That means she doesn't live in the mansion?"

"No, she lives here!" Rosa replied. "Alpha Gabby's cousin is the only one that doesn't live here, but she will soon be here. It's according to their yearly ceremony. Lady Eileen would go to Lady Josephine's place for two months, and they would do it and vice versa."

I was not familiar with the names which she mentioned here. I was about to ask when Gabby arrived. I had to go with him to greet more guests.

Finally, I was alone with Gabby that night. We were mates officially and could now do what is required.

Gabby took the lead and started to kiss me while caressing my thighs. I didn't do anything other than remove his robe. I wanted to touch his bare skin.

At this moment, the door was kicked open. I watched as a female figure entered.

She had a scary face.
