Chapter 4 A Scandal

Miss Olivia Sanders walked into the restaurant looking all glamed up in her beautiful short bodycon purple lace dress with a square neck that revealed just a little of her petite boobs

She was to meet with the handsome Ethan Lee but she ran a little late when deciding on what to were

Her lips curved into a smile on entering the restaurant and seeing Mr Lee seated and patiently waiting for her

Oh he looked more handsome and majestic in person, his pictures did him no justice

She adjusted her dress and mustered the prettiest smile she could as she walked toward Ethan

"Apologies for keeping you waiting Mr Lee, I was......"

She was cut short by Mr Lee as he suddenly stood up and dashed out of the restaurant without sparing her a glance

What was that?

Did she say something wrong?

Did he not like the way she looks?

Or did she make the wrong choice of dress?

Ethan got out of the restaurant and met Gabriel on a call and pacing around the car

"Use all of our resources and take down that article off the internet, threaten or sue whoever posts that picture, just do whatever it takes to make sure nobody talks about that picture again" Gabriel voiced out and ended the call

"Seems you've already seen the picture" Ethan said

"Why did you leave the restaurant Sir, your date has already arrived" Gabriel was concerned

He is certain the witch is going to be furious when she hears about the ongoing scandal on the internet and Ethan ditching his date will only make things worse

"The date is the least of my problem right now Gabriel, I need you to do two things for me, the lady on the picture, her name is Isabella Russell find out her address and send it to me, second thing I need you to do is go to that hotel and bring me whomever took that picture and posted it on the internet" Ethan said as he proceeded to enter the car without Gabriel

"Understood Sir but where are you going? What is your plan and what about your date?" Gabriel was getting overwhelmed

"Just do as I've said and send me that address as soon as possible, as for my date, well you'll figure it out" Ethan said and Gabriel phone suddenly began to ring and he went cold on seeing the caller ID

"Your mother is calling Sir, maybe you should speak to her" Gabriel was shivering with fear

"Why should I speak to her? She called you not me" Ethan refused the phone

He can only imagine just how furious the witch is going to be so there was no way he was going to speak to her

"But..... but she probably called cause she knows you are always not picking her calls"

"Exactly, so you deal with her and send me that address as soon as possible" Ethan said turning on the car's engine

"But where exactly are you going?"

"I think I might have just stumbled upon a way to oust the witch's plan of getting me wedded" Ethan said with a smile as he drove off

Gabriel swallowed heavily, beads of sweat forming on his forehead and his hand trembling as he picked up the call

"Why the bloody hell is Ethan not picking up my calls?!!!!" She yelled over the phone

"I..... I don't know ma'am" Gabriel stuttered

"I just heard from Olivia that Ethan stood her up, we announced Ethan's wedding plans last night and there's already a picture of him frolicking around this morning and the stocks has gone down by a whooping 0.7%!!! Who the hell is that lady that is with my son in that picture to begin with?!!!" she fumed

"She.....she...."

"Doesn't matter who she is, Ethan is getting married next week and the stocks will definitely go up again when that happens so nothing must impede that marriage Gabriel, you and your boss better tackle this situation before I take matters into my own hands" she stated and ended the call

Gabriel could never not be scared of Mrs Alicia Martin, Ethan's mother, she's one scary woman, everyone in the business world fears just the mention of her name and even her own son calls her The Witch

Gabriel stood for a moment confused and void of what to do

"Let's start with the task Mr Lee gave first" He muttered as he dialed his phone

"The lady on the picture, her name is Isabella Russell, find out her address and send it to Mr Lee immediately" Gabriel ordered and ended the call

He saw Olivia Sanders, the daughter of SJ groups, walking out with her secretary and she did not look happy

"Miss Sanders" Gabriel called as he ran to meet her

"And you are?" Olivia asked giving Gabriel a scrutinizing look and her secretary whispered it into her ear

"Oh you are Mr Lee's personal assistant"

"Yes ma'am and Mr Lee sent me to apologize on his behalf for leaving abruptly like that, an emergency came up" Gabriel stated

"By emergency, do you mean this?" Olivia's Secretary showed Gabriel the picture of Ethan in bed with another lady

"I...... I can explain" Gabriel stuttered not quite sure of what to say

"There's nothing to explain about this, your boss is a player and the only person suffering from this now is Miss Sanders, how is she supposed to face the world when the man she is supposed to get married to is in bed with another lady!" Her secretary seemed to be very furious

"Wait a minute Julie, he said he has an explanation and I want to hear it" Olivia said and she faced Gabriel

"I'm all ears"

Gabriel had no idea what to say but he knew he had to say something, the witch had already warned him that the wedding must not fall through so he must keep Miss Sanders interested in getting wedded to Mr Lee at all cost

"It......it was a set up" he blurted

"What?"

"You know how popular Mr Lee is, every lady wants to have him, your wedding with him was announced yesterday and a bittered lady that is obsessed with him came up with this plan in an attempt to blackmail him and ruin the wedding, that picture is fake, that lady did it only out of jealousy and envy" Gabriel explained hopping she would believe him

"Really?" Olivia asked, she seemed to be buying the story

"Yes Miss Sanders, Mr Lee was furious because of it and that's why he went off like that, but not to worry, he is currently working on resolving the situation and everything will be back to normal before you know it" Gabriel assured and Olivia nodded

"I hope so too, do tell Mr Lee to not worry too much and let him know that I'm always available if he needs my help" Olivia said

"Thank you so much Miss Sanders, you are an angel" Gabriel said and Olivia smiled and left with her secretary

Gabriel heaved a huge sign of relief

"That ended well"

The wedding plan is save, he just have to make sure that picture is completely taken off the internet and everything will be fine and to do that, he needs to find who took the picture in the first place

Ethan walked back to the parking lot where the security convoy awaited him but he suddenly stopped on his track on remembering what Ethan said which he had not pay attention to at first

........."I think I might have just stumbled upon a way to oust the witch's plan of getting me wedded".......

Gabriel eyes widened with fear

What new trouble is Mr Lee brewing this time!!!!
