Chapter 6 Beg For It.

André's POV

I felt her hands on my chest as she pushed gently against me. Her face was turned away from mine, yet my eyes lingered on her. She widened the gap between us before I knew what was happening and rushed towards the door. I tried to grab her, but she was faster this time.

"Olivia, wait!"

But she continued to run down the stairs and out the door. I followed her, calling her name, but she continued running away from me. She took a turn and headed into the woods. I looked into the sky, and a crescent moon faintly lit her path as she pushed the foliage out of her way.

"Olivia, stop!"

She took a turn at a high oak tree and continued to dash deeper and deeper into the forest. I slowed down and soon stopped. I couldn't keep chasing her. It only made her keep running, but I couldn't leave her. She had no idea where she was going.

I used the telepathic link and reached out to one of my guards. In no time, he was at my side.

"There is a girl. She ran into the woods. Find her and watch her, but don't make any contact with her. Watch her in the shadows and alert me if she does anything strange."

He nodded and ran after Olivia and soon disappeared into the shadows.

I sighed and headed back into the house. I sighed and went upstairs to my room. As soon as I closed my door, I groaned and looked at my trousers; my bulge was back. But I was way too bothered by Olivia's reaction right now.

From the moment I laid eyes on her, I had felt a strong pull to her. A pull that has done nothing but increase this evening.

However, I couldn't tell if she felt the same way with how she kept running off.

She had to be my mate, right? Only that, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out why she didn't seem to share the same feeling with me.

I had a quick shower and got out. I began to get dressed, but my thoughts were spiralling out of control.

Was this what the mate bond felt like? In less than a day, she had sneaked under my skin and consumed all my being.

She was just a little girl. But whenever I touched her or even stayed in the same room with her, I felt this irresistible pull towards her. It was like I always wanted to be with her.

My ears began to ring as the hairs on my neck stood on end. My wolf was calling out to her.

I hurriedly threw on my clothes and sped out of my room. I could feel water drip from my hair onto my clothes with every step, but I didn't care. I had to find Olivia.

I burst out of the front door and dashed towards the forest. I ran and felt the moon's faint glow on my skin. My senses felt stronger, and my wolf continued to call out to her; his uncontrollable howling made my head throb.

I reached the large oak tree and took a turn. I began to slow down. If she was close by, I didn't want to startle her. Her scent was getting stronger; she was really close. I soon stopped and saw a figure in the shadows behind a huge tree.

I walked over to my guard.

"Where is she?"

He pointed, and when I glanced in that direction, I saw her on her knees, crying beside the stream.

"You may leave."

He walked away, and I was left alone with her. My wolf was howling even louder. I wanted to be close to her. The feeling of attachment was overwhelming.

I stepped out of the shadows and walked towards her. However, she continued to cry with her face in her hands.

I inched closer to her, and soon, I was right behind her. Did she even sense my presence?

I touched her shoulder lightly.

"Olivia?"

She shrieked and sprung to her feet. She looked at me in horror and backed away.

"What are you doing here?"

I sighed and tried to walk up to her.

"Olivia, just listen..."

She walked even further back. I could see fear and sadness in her eyes.

"Just stay away from me."

Her eyes were glistening with tears. She continued to regress, widening the gap between us. Suddenly, she lost her footing and fell backwards.

"Olivia..!"
