Chapter 5 Ruthless mafia

"Do you have my money ?", I asked the guy I was clearly wasting my time on. This pathetic idiot was tied to a chair in my basement

" N...no, but I swear I'll get it to you by tomorrow Mr Amato", he pleaded, spitting blood out of his mouth.

" Tomorrow, after three days, I fucking gave you three days and still no money, you think I'm running a charity here", I said smashing his head with the bat In my hands.

"I've been trying, I swear! My suppliers promised me the money today but", he said, wincing in pain.

" But what? Do you think I care about your excuses? I gave you three days and you failed. You know what happens to people who fail me Jeremy?", I said loudly. I was clearly irritated with his excuses.

"Please I'm begging you, just give me a little more time, I'll get it, I swear", he said pleading.

" You had your chance, Jeremy, you had three days. Now you're out of time", I said picking my gun up. I was ready to get this over with.

"No, please! I'll give you the money, just give me....."

" There are no second chances in this business", I said raising my gun

I was about to pull the trigger when his words made me stop for a moment.

" Wait, please, I have a family, have mercy", he said sobbing

" Life isn't fair and you know that , you should have thought about that before you crossed me", I replied coldly

I pulled the trigger and the man fell to the ground lifeless.

"Clean this up", I said to the guards as I walked out of the basement.

I needed to wash the stains off my body. I made my way to my room, locked the door and I made my way to the bathroom.

As I was washing the stains off my hands, my mind drifted back to the previous night with the stranger girl.

I remembered the way she smiled, the way she felt so soft and warm in my hands, and the way she left without a word, without a trace.

The feeling of her body under mine made me feel strange.

I had wanted her out of lust which was meant to end immediately I fucked her.

But here I was, with her image crossing my mind every time.

Her moans, her curvy figure, her plump lips.

I snapped back to reality, the water still running.

It's been five days since that night and I've been doing everything I could to get her off my mind. She was meant to be one of the girls I had hooked up with but something about her was different.

I'm a 25-year-old Mafia boss and here I was fantasizing about a random woman.

" This is so embarrassing", I muttered as I entered my room back after showering.

As I entered, I stared at the family photo again, the happy smiles on their faces, my Father Anthony Amato, my mother Cecilia Amato, and my beautiful little sister Benedetta Amato.

I had missed them so much.

Also, there was someone who wasn't in the picture, Dominic Amato, My Grandfather. He had taken up the business alongside me for a few years until he finally decided to take a break.

The Old man only calls whenever he wants to, you can't even reach him and it's okay since that was what he wanted.

I had taken up the Job fully so I didn't really need his help anyway.

Been in my family's business for years now. Laundering money, Gambling, Deals, Drug smuggling, Gun trafficking- A lot of it, Extortion, getting paid to torture people who deserved it, and no one has ever dared to cross me.

I sat in my office, sipping my expresso, today was going to be a long day and I knew. My mind was slowly drifting back to that night with the girl until I was brought back, when Jude burst in, looking very worried.

"Boss, we got a problem, the Russians are making a move on our territory. They are trying to muscle In our gambling operations", he said, his face pale and his eyes wide with concern.

I raised my eyebrow, I was clearly not in the mood for it.

" Those bastards think they can take us down? Call their boss, Carlo, Now", I said loudly, my voice commanding.

Jude nodded and left my office, suddenly my phone rang. It was one of my captains, Joey

"Boss, we've got a situation at the docks, the union is causing trouble, and we need to take care of it", he said, his voice laced with urgency.

I smiled, a cold glint in my eyes

" Take care of it, Joey, you know what to do and make sure those union bastard know who's boss", I said

The call with Carlo was tense. He was a ruthless and difficult man and I knew it.

" Ashes, it's time for a change in leadership. We are taking over your territory and there's nothing you can do about it", he said smiling coldly.

" Carlo, you're making a big mistake, you see I've been in this business a long time and I've made some arrangements, you're not the only one with connection", I said with confidence

I stood up from my chair, pacing slowly, my voice taking on a menacing tone.

"Let me make you a deal, Carlo. You back off and we'll let you keep your little operation but if you keep pushing, you'll find out what it means to cross me", I said with a hint of warning.

"Alright then we'll see", he said as I ended the call.

I knew it was just a temporary solution but I had bought myself some time.

After a few hours of trying to keep up with everything that had happened, dealing with different cases, it was almost noon and I sat down in my chair exhausted but satisfied.

Suddenly, Jude entered " Boss, someone's here to see you".
