Chapter 5 Melissa

"What do you mean she should follow you?" Aria asked Alpha king Avalor who chuckled still staring at me as he held my hand with his.

"Should you be questioning me concerning that?when it's very obvious." Alpha Avalor said to Aria who clearly seemed confused.

"Alpha Avalor, I dont think you should be wasting your time on a mateless wolf like Melissa." Alpha russel said but alpha Avalor shrugged he won't just let go of the matter when he still had a lot to say.

"So are you saying I should reject my mate?" Alpha Avalor said making everyone gasp in surprise as I wasn't liking the way everything seemed to be turning.

I really wanted to reject alpha Avalor but it felt like something was pulling me from within each time I tried to speak.

"It can't be!!"lucas insisted but his father wasn't ready for any unnecessary commotion so he stood up immediately.

"Everyone out!!!" Alpha russel yelled making everyone rush out quickly but Lucas still stood in his position.

"Including you Lucas."Alpha Russel added but Lucas was a bit lost in his own thought as he continued to stare at me with a wicked look.

"I can't leave while you and Alpha Avalor discuss just because he came with fake news." Lucas said but his stare still made me very uncomfortable.

"And why Is that!, I don't need you here and as you can see I need to discuss with them how to settle this mate issue." His father replied but Lucas scoffed loudly.

"But father, she is my mate." Lucas suddenly said making me surprised at how he was claiming me back as his.

"Lucas." Aria called from behind us, I guess she was just as surprised as I was when he took my side.

"And you are just telling me? If she is your mate why is Alpha Avalor also her mate?" His father asked making Lucas groan in frustration.

"She was my mate but then I rejected her." Lucas said.

"Well that sums it all up..she is not your mate anymore and has already been marked by alpha Avalor." Was I supposed to be happy? Because being with either of them to me was more like a torture, I thought to myself while staring back at Alpha Avalor and then Lucas as they gave each other the death stare .... And just few nights ago I was totally mateless being insulted by everyone around me and now I had two mates but hated both of them.

"She is mine!!" Lucas said about to pull me to his side but Alpha Avalor stopped him,pushing him hardly to the ground.

"It's too late for all these, you shouldn't have tortured her and try to get her to be yours few nights back but since I mated her she belongs to me and I don't care if you are an alpha to be but you aren't allowed to lay a hand on something that rightfully belongs to me." Alpha Avalor said to Lucas who was still on the ground with his grip on my hand even tighter.

"So alpha russel can I take Melissa with me since she doesn't even belong here in the first place."Alpha Avalor requested while I felt so much regret, I wish I could just flee from here without anyone being able to find me.

That was when an idea struck me...in my room I was already orchestrating a plan on how to escape, but how would I leave this palace Hall if Alpha Avalor was holding on to me so tightly and won't let go.

"Dont I have a say in this matter that has to deal with my life?"I summoned up courage to ask while removing my hand from Alpha Avalor grip.

"Of Course you have a say in this matter as it solely has to do with you." Alpha Russel said making me smile as u slowly stepped forward.

"First, I won't want to have anything to do with Lucas and yes I would follow alpha avalor but only because he marked me and I am pregnant for him, but I have one more request."I said to alpha Russel who smiled back at me!?.

"And what is your request Melissa?" he asked.

"Can I at least be given the free will to return to my room and get the only picture I have of my family?" I replied.

"Yes you are free to do that." he said making me happy as this was finally my chance to escape from the hands of the two unfortunate mates i ended up with.

"One of my men should escort you just in case." Alpha Avalor said just as I was about to leave.

"Why would I need that when my room is just up the stares." I said before walking out of the hall as he had understood what I meant.

I rushed into the bedroom staring around in confusion when I found what I was looking for, during my few days since I returned I slowly made a rope that would take me down the palace wall in ease and I guess this was the right time to use it. I tied it firmly to a place and threw down the window and thankfully my room was located at the most unusual place in the palace so no one would be able to notice anything.

After preparing myself to leave, I looked around to be sure everything was the way it was supposed to be when it dawned on me that if I leave this was it would be labeled that I ran away from the both of them and then an idea struck me.

If I wanted to make a clean escape I needed it to seem like I got kidnapped that way tracing me would be difficult and this could be my chance to finally pour all the blames on Lucas for rejecting me.
