Chapter 4 I will get married to Korra Linn.

Chapter 4: I will Get married to Korra Linn.

It all started when Alec couldn't take any more harsh words from his half sister, Artemis Helios. Ever since he was taken into the opulent Helios estate at the tender age of five, she has ceaselessly made it her mission to make his existence a constant nightmare, disparaging his mother as a tawdry mistress.

She is dead.

Alec despises when Artemis speaks ill of his mother. And he holds a deep grudge against his father for taking him away from his dying mother's bedside. Just one month after he arrived at the Helios mansion, news came that she had passed. Due to Artemis' mother, he was unable to attend her funeral.

His animosity for the entire Helios family has remained steadfast for over a quarter of a century, and when he is chosen as the heir, he will make certain they pay for their transgressions.

His initial plan was to drown his sorrows in alcohol tonight and forget all the hurtful words thrown his way. But as he entered the club, his gaze locked onto a woman who seemed equally determined to drink her problems away. She downed shot after shot, and his intuition told him that she has also endured her fair share of trials.

He'd lied about his identity so she wouldn't know he was from a rich home since every girl he had met only wanted him for his money.

Not all women have the courage to make the first move, but Jojo did, and all he wanted was to make sure she never forgot this night. Tomorrow, she will be gone from his life, and that will be for the best.

Jojo was incredibly skilled in the bedroom. They indulged in all the fantasies he had only dreamed of before. She satisfied him in ways no other woman had, and he couldn't get enough. She knew exactly how to please him, both intimately and intimately. It was everything he had ever wanted.

It's a pity that he won't be seeing her again after tomorrow. As they laid in bed, gazing up at the ceiling, he couldn't help but feel a sense of regret. But Jojo was fast asleep, and he couldn't disturb her peaceful slumber. He gently covered her with a blanket and quietly left the room, collecting his clothes from the floor as he made his way out, closing the door quietly behind him.

As the sun rose, Alec was greeted by the blaring ringtone from his phone. With groggy eyes, he fumbled to pick it up and noticed it was his father calling. Hastily answering, he brought the receiver to his ear.

"Return to the mansion, Alec. We have matters to discuss. The Linn family has brought forth a marriage proposal."

Receiving an early morning message from his father left him befuddled. A marriage proposal? With the Linn's? He had heard of their wealthy status in California, with the Helios trailing behind.

Turning to his laptop on the table, he opened it to dive into more research. They owned numerous corporations, from airlines and food to hotels and lands. It was all thanks to the legendary Avery Linn.

Alec let out a deep breath as he slammed his laptop shut. Obviously, his father only agreed to this for the sake of their family's prosperity through an alliance with the richest family. But why use him as a pawn? Why must his marriage be pre-arranged? Hasn't he already taken his mother away from him? And now, he wants to control his entire life just for the sake of more wealth? The thought made him scoff.

But then again, who would he be getting married to? Opening his laptop once more, he searched for Avery Linn's granddaughter, and found three potential matches. Korra Linn- the firstborn, aged 30. Viola Linn- the second child, aged 26. And Annastesia- the youngest, aged 20.

It seems the choice would be Korra Linn. They were the same age, and... he paused as he clicked on her image. She had striking auburn hair and exuded an air of confidence. He couldn't help but gulp. "She seems ambitious," he mumbled, before moving on to the next daughter. However, he found no images of Viola and Anna on the internet.

Closing his laptop and placing it back on the table, he couldn't believe that his marriage would be a pre-arranged one. He had never even considered getting married, but with Apollo Helios, there was no room for his own opinions. He always got his way.

Shaking off thoughts of the Linn family and the marriage proposal, He left his room to check on Viola. Standing outside her door, he knocked and to his surprise, she responded.

As he entered the room, his eyes were met with her alluring yet sleepy face and disheveled hair, making her even more beautiful in his eyes. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't help but take in her enchanting appearance, knowing that she would soon be leaving. As much as it pained him, he knew it was for the best.

After she responded, he left her to freshen up before inviting her to join him for breakfast. As he took his place at the same spot as last night, Alec noticed Viola descending the stairs, her hair elegantly bundled in a bun, exuding a natural and serene aura. The way she smiled at him calmed his nerves and put him at ease.

She joined him at the table and he tried his best not to stare too deeply at her luscious lips, fighting off the temptation that arose every time he laid eyes on her. How does one resist a woman who has given them the most mind-blowing pleasure? How does one quell the urge when her body beckons for you again and again?

Determined to break free from his thoughts, he nonchalantly asked if they should order in or cook. To his delight, she declined his offer to cook and he eagerly ordered Chinese noodles.

As she savored each delectable bite, Alec couldn't help but imagine himself as the noodles, entering her mouth with every passing minute. The thought of being with her again, kissing, holding, and touching her, consumed his mind.

Despite his longing for her to stay, he accompanied her as she ordered her ride and bid her farewell when it left.

Once she was out of view, he let out a sigh and made his way back into the house to freshen up. He called his personal assistant, George to inquire about the office status after he dressed up.

It was Saturday and it marked a day of respite for him. However, in his absence, George would assume the mantle of authority for the day. While he oversaw the operations of Helios hotel, his sister Artemis, who had an insatiable penchant for wealth like their father, was entrusted with the reins of Helios clothing line, Helios real estate, Helios loan navigation, and Helios gaming company.

George had informed him about a meeting scheduled for Monday at 9 am, which suited his schedule perfectly. This meant that he would have ample time on Sunday to catch up with his friends over the phone. Speaking of which, his phone chimed and he saw the name on the screen.

He answered the call, "Christos, my brother," an ecstatic tone in his voice. "I presume you're back in San Francisco since you're calling me."

"Yes, I just landed and thought of giving you a call. I've missed you, man. I'm headed to your hotel to settle down before returning home."

As Alec grabbed his shoes from the rack, he nodded, "I'll ensure you receive the best service, and I'll see you tomorrow. Until then, make the most of the hotel's breathtaking views and have a great time."

Christos Andino was not just his best friend, but also his confidant since he was brought to the mansion. Their fathers had been friends for years and shared a love for golf. The Andinos family was also affluent, ranking 6th among California's richest. Their business included a multi-billion dollar golf company and RoyalGear Motorsports, a globally renowned car company.

Unlike Alec, Christos was not a mommy's boy and lived life on his own terms. He never failed to remind him, "You only live once, Alec. Take risks and defy authority once in a while, so they know who's in charge. Look at me, my parents can never control me, and that's why I do what I want, when I want, with their money," accompanied by a boisterous laugh.

"Ahh, I had hoped to set my eyes upon you this day," Christos lamented in response to Alec's words.

Alec let out a sigh. "Unfortunately not. My father demands my presence at home."

Christos burst into laughter. "Oh my. Have you gotten yourself into trouble again?"

"This time it's different. It's not something enjoyable."

"What is it then, my dear Alec Helios? You sound quite tense."

He took a deep breath, knowing Christos would be taken aback by his news. "A marriage proposal."

There was a moment of silence before Christos finally spoke, "Wow."

"Yes."

"A marriage proposal. Alec, this is surprising. I always saw you as someone who wouldn't settle down, and now you're getting married. This is the highlight of my week, if not my entire year. Have you met her yet? Is she beautiful? What family does she come from?"

Alec let out a sharp exhale. "You won't believe it."

"Try me."

"Alright, Christos. I haven't met her, but her family is extremely wealthy. Like, insanely wealthy."

"By 'insanely wealthy,' you mean..." he trailed off, waiting for Alec's response.

"From Linn's family," He said, bracing himself for Christos reaction.

"No way. Linn's? The richest family in town?"

"Yes, Christos."

"You've hit the jackpot, my brother," he exclaimed, laughing.

Alec was confused. Why was he so supportive? His life was about to be turned upside down. "Jackpot?" He asked.

"Look, this is what you need. A powerful family to support you and take Artemis out of the running for heir."

"So you're on board with this?" he asked, needing further confirmation.

"Hell yeah, I am. You're getting married, and here I am stuck in this toxic relationship of mine."

Alec chuckled at Christos words. "You're not stuck. She doesn't want you, but you won't let go."

"Listen, Alec. You can't understand how I feel. Josephine is the one I want."

"You want her, but you won't leave Selena for her? That's laughable."

"Can't I have them both? Selena has been my best friend for years. I can't hurt her, but Josephine drives me wild. You wouldn't understand, man."

"I cannot fathom your dilemma, Christos. When your heart truly desires her, you will know the one meant for you. As a person who has had his fair share of love, I am not equipped to advise you." His phone beeped, interrupting their conversation. "I will catch up with you later, my ride has arrived."

"Sure thing. When you finally meet your intended bride, make sure to give me all the details."

Alec snorted as he ended the call. Intended bride my foot. This was simply a marriage of convenience, not love. He grabbed his wallet and headed out of the penthouse.

His father had arranged for a limo to pick him up. There are always paparazzi waiting outside the gate to the Helios mansion, and his father loved it when they managed to get a good shot of him. Alec let out a sigh as the paparazzi swarmed the limo, each trying to get the perfect shot. He was relieved when the limo finally made its way inside the gate.

It had been six months since he last visited the mansion, after returning from a business trip to Japan. But his father always found a way to bring him back. This time, he had a clear reason.

As he stepped out of the car, he thought about Christos' words. He was right. He needed a strong family to support him if he wanted to remove Artemis from his life.

Alec lifted his head with determination and made his final decision as he stared at the mansion with a smirk on his face. "I will get married to Korra Linn."
