"Oh dear, why are you showing me something so embarrassing?" Margot seemed as though she couldn't bear to look, yet she couldn't hide her happiness either.

"This sheet is a testimony of my daughter-in-law becoming a woman. It's very special and mustn't be washed. Quickly, put it back on their bed."

Hanna's trip back to her original family was clearly more than a mere visit.

Hanna visited the hotel where the incident happened and reviewed the security footage. It confirmed there had been an escaped convict who broke in and stayed there that night.

Upon her return to Serenity Villas, Hanna found Brynn leaning against the door, watching videos.

Seeing Hanna, dressed in red and carrying two large boxes of gifts by herself, Brynn looked up.

"My goodness, why are you back by yourself? Where is your husband?"

Hanna scowled in disgust.

She and Brynn had never gotten along. Since the event seven days ago, every encounter with Brynn sparked a violent urge within Hanna.

"Oh! How silly of me! Your husband is famously bedridden now, confined to his bed all day. How could he possibly come here, right?" Brynn seemed to be suddenly enlightened.

"And you know, I've heard he's impotent too. Surely he hasn't slept with you, has he? But don't worry. That's actually for the best, because imagine if he found out his new wife isn't a virgin and has slept with a criminal... Oh God!"

Her speech was cut off by her own shriek. Because Hanna had slapped her across the face.

"You bitch! How dare you hit me?" Brynn was furious and attempted to retaliate.

But before she could lay a finger on Hanna, a stern male voice intervened. "Brynn, don't you dare hit your sister! Your sister took your place in the wedding and secured our family's alliance with the Collins family. She's a heroine to our family. You need to treat her kindly from now on, understood?"

As this voice echoed, the bulky figure of Cristian appeared in front of Hanna.

He wielded significant authority within the family. Brynn didn't dare to disobey, glaring fiercely at Hanna.

Hanna responded by arching her eyebrows in a mocking way.

Just then, Jessie approached, pretending to be concerned.

"Brynn, don't blame your dad for being upset. Why must you be so thoughtless?"

Hanna's expression turned even more scornful.

It was just because she had married Kayce that Cristian and Jessie, ever eager to gain favor with the Collins family, had swiftly altered their attitudes towards her.

"Enough of your fake kindness!"

Fed up with Cristian's two-faced attitude, Hanna threw the gifts from the Collins family at his feet.

"You promised to reveal my mother's location once I married into the Collins family. Now, tell me."

"Hanna..." Cristian appeared to be troubled.

Stepping up, Jessie intervened. "Your dad can't bear to hurt your feelings, so I'll say it. We need to ensure your dad secures the contract the Collins family promised before we can reveal where Helena is."

Hanna's mind buzzed.

"Before I married into the Collins family, you never mentioned this condition!"

"Well, if I mentioned this then, you might have refused," Jessie replied, as if it made perfect sense.

Hanna was astounded by their audacity.

She raised her chin without showing weakness.

"So, you're going back on your word, huh? Fine, I'll do the same. I'll file for divorce from Kayce immediately. Let's see how you manage to curry favor with the Collins family without me or secure that contract!"
