Chapter 4 A Promiscuous Woman

After switching outfits at home, Baylee made her way straight to the Red Nightclub.

She was dressed in a form-fitting cocktail dress. Though her accessories were few and modestly priced, each carried a distinct flair.

Her outfit, not typical for Red Nightclub, set her apart from the more extravagantly dressed barmaids.

"Wow, you look amazing. That's a stunning choice," Aidan greeted her with glowing admiration at the entrance.

To reassure her, he continued, "Believe in my eye for style. With your presence, we're certain to clinch this deal."

Having been close since their college days, Baylee and Aidan shared a strong, conflict-free partnership in business, deeply rooted in mutual trust. Aidan's sexual orientation towards men further purified their bond, devoid of any underlying tension.

"Your judgment has never failed me," Baylee responded with a warm smile.

Noticing her slight apprehension, Aidan gently took her arm, offering comfort. "Blue Capital is looking for a lead planner for their charity gala. It's a significant project, but you're more than capable. Over the years, you've earned a formidable reputation in the industry under the alias Sia Dayne. Now's the time for projects that reflect your caliber. This could be your breakthrough to financial independence!"

The notion of financial freedom seemed like a far-off dream to Baylee, yet now it appeared tantalizingly close.

Aidan, sensing her hesitation, doubled down with sincerity. "Consider the debts burdening your family and the ongoing medical expenses for your sister. The cost of her treatment is like watching money burn..."

Understanding the weight of her decision, Baylee's resolve solidified. "I'll land this deal. You have my word."

"You'll ace it. That's the Baylee I've always believed in!" Aidan assured her with a smile. "Let's head in."

Navigating through the crowd to a private area, Baylee trod closely behind Aidan, mentally rehearsing her pitch.

Aidan, catching the unease in her steps, paused to offer reassurance. "Ease up. You're carrying too much weight on your shoulders."

He approached, draping an arm around her and resting his head against her shoulder in a gesture of solidarity. "Keep your sister and our dreams in mind; that's all the motivation you need. I'll be right here waiting, cheering for your success."

Meanwhile, Julian entered the nightclub, guided by a staff member, and his gaze quickly found Baylee.

Her presence, radiant and compelling, captivated him entirely, leaving him momentarily spellbound.

His attention, however, was soon diverted to Aidan, whose vivid attire and affectionate demeanor towards Baylee seemed overly familiar.

Unaware of Julian's presence, they appeared engrossed in their private world.

Julian, misunderstanding Aidan as a male escort and recalling his own past categorization as one, instructed the staff, "Change the path."

He internally lamented his misfortune for crossing paths with this promiscuous woman repeatedly.

He resolved then never to revisit this nightclub.

Bolstered by Aidan's encouragement, Baylee felt a surge of bravery as she approached the room's entrance.

But as she was about to enter, a glance through the door's window stopped her dead in her tracks.

The very sight of Julian seated inside sent her pulse racing.
