Chapter 4 4

"Can we talk?" I said to find a time to be alone and not have his twin cousins.

He is here in the green house while watering the flowers.

"Spill it" she said without looking at me.

"About yesterday... i know you heard it... i-i have a girlfr---"

"I don't care!" she cut me

"What do you mean?"

"I don't care if you have a girlfriend or what ever you want to do in your life.... I just don't care!"

"Then, you don't care about this arrangement, do you? You also don't want this arranged marriage for the two of us?" i ask

When we have the chance, we can talk about not continuing the agreement made by my father and his grandfather for both of us.

It didn't speak... its attention was only focused on watering.

"We can talk to your grandfather so that he doesn't go ahead with their plan to marry us, because it's just a joke. They didn't even think about how we would feel about their decision." I added. I don't want to wait another month... if we both disagree with this arrangement.

Everything will be easier when we agree.

"Why don't you talk to him---" he looked at me for a moment

"--after all I am not the one who will get the benefits in this arrangement." it said coldly but with substance.

"What benefits? First of all, I don't need your money--" I answered while holding back my anger.

He stopped what he was doing and stared at me. "really? I heard that your company got bankrupt, all your properties have been sold to pay off your big debt. Now, tell me you don't need our money?"

I clenched my fist.

"Without my grandfather's investment you're going to lose everything---"

"We don't have a choice... do you think I want what's happening? Being tied to an agreement that I don't want... I'd rather be poor than beg for money from poor people like you . If I didn't worry about my family's life, I wouldn't be in front of you today talking." I burst out of anger.

I left the green house and left it there.

Do I need to apologize to her? I was too much for what I said to him earlier. To be honest, he did nothing wrong and was just stuck in this arrangement.

"C'mon dude throw the ball." Drake shouted.

"Throw it hard!" Daze

I regained my composure and threw the ball to him, which he caught. The twins wanted to play softball again, but we were short of members so we just shared the ball.

I glanced at Rei's place again. She was sitting at the bench under the tree... she's reading a book.

"Here we go, dude... catch----"

I turned around and looked at the ball going in my direction as if in slow motion. Before I could get away, it hit my face causing me to fall to the ground

"Awww!" I moaned while holding my nose that was hit by the ball.

"Dude are you okay?" Drake asked as he approached me.

He helped me sit up.

"Ohmyghad! You're bleeding" Daze

I was once again touched to my nose by a sticky hot liquid coming from it.

"Do we need to call a doctor? Or bring you to the hospital?" Daze said hysterically. I was about to laugh because of the reaction on his face.

"I'm o-okay..." I tried to stand up, but suddenly I felt dizzy, which is why I went back to sitting.

"Goshhh!! You're bleeding.... non stop... it's like a fountain of blood coming from your nose" Daze while still covering his mouth with his palm.

"You look like a gay" Drake said and laughed at Daze.

"Why didn't you avoid the ball?" Drake added and handed me a handkerchief.

"Because I didn't see it" I patted the handkerchief on my bleeding nose.

"Can you stand up?" Drake

I nodded and slowly stood up... they supported me towards the bench where Rei was sitting.

"I'm going to get some ice." Daze. He quickly ran back to the mansion.

Drake helped me sit next to Rei who was already looking at me.

I hesitate to smile here.

"He was hit by a ball in the face while we were playing--" Drake stated looking at Rei. "--if you're curious" he added and gave a small grin.

"How stupid" she whispered but I still heard because we were just next to each other.

It's so stupid!... he's the reason why I got hit by the ball.

Haissht! It's my fault too... why was I looking at him earlier?

"Ahhh-- stay with him for a while, I'll just follow Daze."

I was going to talk more about this one who left. That's why Rei and I were left here together.

"Umm... I'm sorry about what happened earlier... I overreacted and said those things." I looked up to stop my nose from bleeding.

"Just the same---" I suddenly stopped talking when I faced it because it was also facing me.

I stared into his eyes. She has hazel brown eyes, long and thick lashes. His cold gaze seemed to pull me into a dimension.

"Nandi---"

I adjusted my seat and looked in another direction when Daze came.

"-- the ice is here for your bloody nose." he continued with a playful smile on his face

"I think you are not just hit in the nose" he added with a smile

He handed it to me which I immediately accepted.

"Ahh" I moaned suddenly when the ice pack was placed on my nose.

The moment I stared into her eyes, I felt like I was being captured.
