Chapter 1 I'm leaving you

"What do you mean? you're breaking up with me !?" Alicia stood in front of her fiance Tristan with blue eyes full of tears .

" I can't continue this relationship anymore , you don't just fit my class and status in the society . you're not the woman I thought I'd spend my life with "

Alica watched Tristain as he stared at her passively and indifferently , she couldn't believe what he was saying , her voice broke as she spoke .

" Tristain we have being together for 7 years , I've given you 7 good years of my life , I've supported you ,I dropped out of college to work and support you with your degree , everything I've done since I've met you is to show you I love and support you"

" Look you'll be well compensated , I know the sacrifices you've made on my behalf but I simply cannot settle for less just because your a nice girl and you love me"

Alicia felt like her legs couldn't hold anymore she shakly walked to the black leather couch and sat down .

She heard Tritain get up from his chair and walk towards her but she didn't have the strength to lift her head .

Yes she'll admit the last two years since his company picked up and he made millions he had changed but never would she have expected he'll toss her away .

Tritain sat on the coffee table beside the couch facing her " l know this is hard for you to accept but you and I knew this was coming . you'll never be enough for me , I'm even too embarrassed to bring you around my friends ".

He put a hand on her shoulder, she jerked it off and found strength to look up at him , she looked right into his eyes ,hot tears streaming down her face .

" please I beg of you , you're all I have don't do this to me , I'll do anything you want me to do , I'll improve please you're all I have "

She slid from the couch to her knees , truly he was indeed all she had. All her life she had grown up in an orphanage ,she was never adopted, never knew the love of a family , he was the only expression of love she knew he and Sally, her best friend .

She made good grades and got a high school scholarship it was there she met Tristan he was a jock in school , he stole her heart right away and they've been together since.

" Alicia I can't but I promise I'll settle you financially" he dug his hand in his trouser suit pocket and brought out a crisp check ,and stretched it in her direction .

" This is a check of 5 million dollars start your life afresh , build yourself , you're a beautiful young woman you'll definitely find the right guy for you it's just not me "

Alicia felt like her heart was going to explode out of her chest , her vision blurred by tears . She didn't move an inch to collect the check. Tristain sighed and grabbed her purse from the couch and put the check there .

" I ordered your personal belongings to be packed out of the mansion .I got you an apartment in the nice side of town I'm sure your stuff should be arriving there in an hour or less "

He dropped a set of keys on the coffee table and started standing up , she held onto his leg .

" Please Tritain don't leave me I don't think I can survive it , please I'll do anything"

He looked at her with heavy irritation, his hazel brown eyes showing disgust .

" Look I've tried to let you down easy but I see you're still in denial .I am not interested in this relationship anymore I would have broken up with you last year but you were pregnant and when you lost the baby I knew I this was my opportunity to escape this farce of a relationship "

Alicia felt her heart shatter into a billion pieces. How could he say that to her? She again felt a heavy sense of loss. She held her tummy with her hands where her baby once grew and once more hated her body for not being able to carry their child to full term.

Tristan walked towards his chair and sat

" Get up and leave I have an important meeting in 5 mins and I can't be late because of you , I've being more than generous to you "

Alicia wanted to stand up but it felt like her legs had been out of use for months . Suddenly the door opened and a well dressed , beautiful woman walked in ,her heels clicked on the office floor and she looked and smelt like money and class.

She looked at Alicia on the ground with an amused look .

" Baby who's this ?"

Baby ? Did she just call Tritain baby ? Wait, he has been cheating on me ?Alicia's eyes followed the woman as she circled round the office table to the chair where Tristan was seated and they shared a passionate kiss.

They kissed as if she wasn't right there seated on the office floor .

" So this is the real reason why you're leaving me "

They broke apart and the woman gave a wicked smirk .

"You must be Alicia the fiance , I mean ex fiance" at that statement she laughed. Tristan looked at her with a hint of guilt in his eyes ,he cleared his throat awkwardly.

" Alicia get out of my office or I'll be forced to use the security to throw you out, get up your embarrassing yourself please "

" On it already babe " she grabbed the telephone

and pressed the security button

" Yes could you come upstairs and help us take out this pitiful trash of a person "

Alicia felt like the ground should open up and swallow her worse still she still felt like she couldn't move . Hands lifted her off the ground and she felt her engagement ring being pulled out of her finger .

Everything felt like a terrible dream. Once she got down from the elevator the security guard led her outside. Her leg finally got some feeling she was still wobbling but at least they moved now.

The huge man looked at her with sympathetic eyes , he hailed a taxi , and gave him a paper with an address . She entered the cab , her purse and keys were dropped on her laps .
