Chapter 2 1. Intriguing Hazel Orbs

With a thud the shut doors swung open and a blonde hair girl entered the house looking exhausted, yells at the top of her lungs, irritatedly. "Mom I'm home", but got no response.

"Mom..", she was about to yell again but stopped in the middle when the silence hovering the house hits her.

Concern gnawed in to her and dropping her bag at recliner she heads toward the kitchen insearch of her. But to her dismay she couldn't find her there to as it was empty and she frowns. "Where did she go? Maybe upstairs...", mumbling to herself and sighs defeatedly. Dropping the plan of getting something to feed her empty stomach she went upstairs in search of her mom.

As she climbs upstairs she kept on mumbling some food items name to herself to feel enough energetic to reach up. It was a very exhausting day for her in office and after breakfast she had no time to eat, as she was damn engrossed in work.

When she reached at the first floor, she heard some whispering coming from her mother's room. As if something damn secret was cooking up there. She frowns hard hearing it and fastens her steps towards her mom's room. Without wasting a single second she pushed open the door of her mom's room making the person's inside that room startled.

"What are you both doing here?", She asks, announcing her presence.

Gasping her mom looked tensed but flashed a smile as soon she gazed at her. And beside her there was her aunt Caroline who isn't her aunt by blood but by heart. As she was her mom's bestfriend from school time and is still there with her.

She passes a suspicious look thinking 'What were they cooking behind her back?' and crossed her arm to her chest making her mother nervous."Umm.. nothing dear. When did you come? Do you want something?", her mother blurted in one go.

"Just now...and was damn hungry but by not finding you down, came up", she replies with a long face and her mother and aunt share a look. "But then I heard you whisper something and got curious bee..", she adds taking a step inside and all color's from her mother's face drained out.

Sensing the tension, Rihana shoots an eyes at them. "What? Is there something secretive?", She chimes. When Caroline spoke up saying it's nothing but two bestie's private conversation and she should stay out of it. "Fine... ladies. I'm out already...!", She picked her hands up in surrender and looked at her mom again with a pout on her lips and rubs her tummy while asking for food

"I'm hungry. Please give me something before I die...", she said with a cute pout and her mother and aunt laughed out. "Go.. and get fresh Rihu... we'll get you something yummy to eat till then", her mother says and she goes in the attention mode, passing a salute at her.

"Okay captain... I'll be right back", saying she leaves and walks to her room on the second floor. Getting her tensed muscles relaxed after a quick shower she walked to her closet in towel.

Dressing herself into a black square neck, sleevless dress reaching till her knee she got down stairs while fixing her hair in a proper messy bun. Switching the TV on she flopped on the recliner and watched the show 'Friends S4' while stuffing her mouth with the creamy alfredo pasta her mother made for her.

From the day her college has ended her life seems boring with her going to her mom's office working her ass off there and returning home exhaustedly. She misses her college days, friends, bunked classes, badly sometimes. But now her most of the friends are out of the town doing job or higher studies while the two besties what she is left with in this town are busy too.

Finishing her meal asap she left for her friend Daisy's house who was leaving today for a business trip with her office colleagues and she wanted to meet her before she leaves.

Informing her mother about her plans to go Daisy's house and then having a sleepover at Matt's house. She bids her mother and aunt bye with a peck at their cheeks. And her mother with a grinning smile gives the permission for it and escorts her till the door.

As she disappears from their sight her mom closing the door walked inside the living room. "Thank God.. she didn't heard us. But I'm scared.. what if he tries to meet her?", She asks, fear filling her nerves. "Calm down... Nothing will happen. You are just overthinking. He knows it's not safe for her", Caroline tries to reason, calming her nerves. But deep down they both were scared.

On the other hand, Rihana walking down the lane reaches Daisy's house as it was just few blocks away. Getting inside the house she found Daisy all-ready with her small suitcase standing in the living room with Matt. She hugged her tightly as if she won't be able to see her any day and Matt joined them too making their bones crack up with his tight bear hug.

Matt was her male bestfriend who had a special admission in the middle of the term when they were in 2nd year. He was a new comer and a flirtatious guy which first irritated her but then they gradually became friends.

Breaking the hug they altogether left for airport as Daisy was staying alone with her dad barely being at home. While her mom died long ago when she was in her high school. Whole ride they were listening Charlie Puth and BTS songs grooving themselves into it, living in the moment. And after reaching the airport, they share a tight trio hug and bid Daisy bye, seeing her off until she was inside the gates.

After leaving from the airport they decided to stay out whole night instead of indoor. As Matt stays alone in a duplex apartment being a rich brat and no one will complain also. Rihana agreed as she herself was longing for some exciting thing after the boring life she was getting adapted, forcefully.

Matt opens his Range Rover car's full panoramic roof and let the cold breeze hit their bare arm's and face. Her open hair danced as she stands on the seat letting the breeze brush her face and give a ticklish sensation. Something about those wild wind felt like they were trying to say something as if warning her about someone's arrival.

But who?

The car stopped near a night Cafe and Matt went inside to bring food while she was standing outside staring at a lovely couple with her child having their moments. A smile crept on her face seeing the way child was getting tickled by her parent's and she rolled over.

All this time someone was staring at her and when Matt took longer time than usual she turned to look inside but stopped seeing those hypnotizing orbs. "Is he gawking at me?", She wonders. That person was in a good distance from her sitting in the corner but still those orbs hypnotized her and she stopped in her tracks forgetting the world.

Shivers run down her spine with the intensity of his hazel orbs. Her insides churn up and her stomach felt turmoil build inside her. The vibes she was getting from just his orbs was damn intriguing while his face was masked up and she felt foreign sensation.

Why is he hiding his face?, She frowns thinking.

A smirk appeared on his face when she didn't moved but was lost in his eyes staring intensely. But just when he was about to walk toward her, Matt came and broke their trance making a scowl appeared on his face.

Rihana nodded blankly to whatever Matt said and walked with him to their car. She turned back to see that person just before getting into the car but to her utter dismay no one was there anymore.

Where did he go?

Her mind repeatedly showed only those hazel orbs which caught strongly. When the car engine started and they drove off to the marine lines enjoying their fast food wraps and hot chocolate. And somehow her mind shifted away from those eyes. But that person following behind them in disguise couldn't concentrate on anything else but only her.

"I am coming for you Rihana...!"
