Chapter 5 Chapter 5 Run into Claudia

Phil looked outside the car. It was a building with 16 floors. From the outside, it looked bright and golden. Two side doors were at the entrance, guarding the revolving door in the middle.

It was one of the famous five-star hotels in River City, Purple Golden Mansion!

"Let's go!"

Phil got out of the car and walked towards the main entrance of the Purple Golden Mansion. As he stepped into the hall and walked forward several steps, two people looked at him.

Phil raised his head, meeting Claudia's eyes.

"Claudia!"

Phil looked at Claudia, wondering what she was doing in Purple Golden Mansion.

"Phil?"

Claudia frowned.

"Why are you here?"

Phil was speechless for a while.

"I'm here to make an appointment."

Claudia looked Phil up and down. Looking at Phil's unmarked suit, she subconsciously thought he had bought it from the street stall.

"Even though you followed me, you don't need to make such a clumsy excuse? I got you, and you still refuse to admit it!"

Claudia sighed.

When would he really be like a man, standing upright?

Nona also looked at Phil contemptuously, "Are you here for a banquet?"

"Do you know what this place is?"

"Purple Golden Mansion, the most famous five-star hotel in River City!" Nona emphasized, "You couldn't even afford a meal."

"Come here for a banquet? That's funny!"

Phil suddenly laughed out loud.

It had been a long time since he left the Loewy family. He felt a little uncomfortable hearing this voice again.

The market value of Optimus Group was nearly 20 billion. But someone said he couldn't afford a meal at Purple Golden Mansion?

"I'll leave you two. Bye!"

Phil didn't bother to defend himself.

He was about to leave River City, so he would let them keep misunderstood.

"Stop!"

Claudia stopped him.

"What's wrong?" Phil turned his head.

Claudia sighed, "It's not a place for you. Go. Don't follow me anymore. We are already divorced."

"I know." Phil put his hands in his pockets.

"Then you..." Claudia wanted to speak.

Phil shrugged, "But I'm really here for the appointment."

Claudia stamped her feet angrily.

Phil looked at Claudia and smiled. He stretched out to help her brush her loose hair behind her ears, but Claudia took a step back subconsciously.

Phil was stunned, smiled wryly, and withdrew his hand...

Then, he turned and left without looking back...

Every time he saw Claudia, it was torment for Phil.

In fact, he knew he might still love her.

He had run out of his affection after seven years, and there was only a trace of tenderness left in his heart.

Even if there were still love, they would never be together.

Lighting a cigarette, Phil walked into the elevator and watched the elevator door slowly close, with Claudia's face gradually disappearing.

Claudia trembled with anger.

"I kindly reminded him because we were once husband and wife!"

"That's his return to kindness!" thought Claudia.

Nona held Claudia's arm and was also angry, "Don't mind him. Anyway, you have nothing to do with him from the day you divorced him!"

Nona took Claudia into another elevator.

On the sixteenth floor of Purple Golden Mansion.

It was also the highest floor of Purple Golden Mansion, one of the banquet halls with the highest specifications in the entire Purple Golden Mansion!

It was Peony Hall!

Phil walked into the Peony Hall, found a corner seat, and sat down.

There were almost dozens of people in the peony hall. But Phil wondered where Ina was and why she made him come.

Originally, Phil thought it was a private date. But he was shocked when he walked in.

While smoking a cigarette, Phil looked at his mobile phone, not noticing Nona and Claudia, who also walked into the hall.

"Hello."

Just when Nona and Claudia were still amazed by the luxury of the Peony Hall, Harry appeared in front of them again.

Nona covered her mouth with excitement.

"Mr. Mays, again."

Harry smiled politely at Nona. Obviously, he was more interested in Claudia.

"It's the second time. May I ask your name?"

Harry looked at Claudia.

"Nona Patron!" Nona raised her hand.

Claudia was calmer than Nona, "Claudia Loewy!"

"Claudia?"

Harry pondered for a moment, "It's a beautiful name."

"Thank you," Claudia nodded slightly.

"Claudia, look!"

Nona pointed to the corner of the Peony Hall as if she had discovered a new world.

Claudia followed Nona's gaze and looked over.

A familiar face came into view.

Phil?

"How did he get in here?" Claudia frowned.

Harry also looked over, seeing Phil smoking a cigarette in the corner. He asked with great interest, "Who is that man?"

Nona waved her hand and said with disdain, "He's Claudia's ex-husband. A loser who waits to die."

"A loser couldn't come here, right?" Harry maintained his smile but with sharpness in his eyes.

Nona tugged at Harry, "You don't know. Although he wears fancy suits, it's from the street vendor. He couldn't even afford a meal here!"

"He probably came here to eat and drink," Nona said contemptuously.

"Okay," Harry glanced at Claudia and smiled slightly, "I see!"

"I can't let that happen. He's not worthy of appearing in the Peony Hall!"

The tone had just dropped, and Harry walked towards Phil.

From the door to the corner, it was only a dozen steps.

Harry walked to Phil. Phil looked up at him and extinguished the cigarette in his hand.

"Is there a problem?"

Phil looked at Harry.

Harry smiled, "Hi. My name is Harry Mays."

Harry stretched out his hand, and Phil shook hands with him. Although Phil didn't know him, he was not interested in bullying anyone he saw, as people said one shouldn't slap on a smiling face.

"And you are?"

Harry asked.

"Phil Yates!" Phil replied.

Harry smiled, "Today's banquet in the Peony Hall of the Purple Golden Mansion is of a very high standard. It's not for anyone!"

"It also took my effort."

"You must have been invited to come to the Peony Hall. Who's the inviter?"

Harry was about to figure out Phil's identity, but Nona rushed over.

"Mr. Mays. Don't waste your breath!"

"He is a loser. How could he be eligible to attend the banquet in the Peony Hall!"

"You don't have to ask him who invited him. Just kick him out!"

Nona hugged her shoulders and looked at Phil disgustedly, saying mean things. She didn't like Phil, who had no skills but was thick-skinned. He had freeloaded at the Yates family for three years, and now he came to the Peony Hall!

Phil smiled, "I don't know who my inviter is. But someone sent me a message asking me to come to the Peony Hall of Purple Golden Mansion at eight o'clock tonight."

"Her name is Ina Yates."

After Phil finished speaking, Harry suddenly frowned.

Only 18 people were invited to the Peony Hall banquet. Harry happened to be one of them.

And Harry knew the other 17 people.

But there was no one named Ina Yates among them!
