Chapter 2 Chapter 2

Samuel and I ran out to where the battle was happening, I shift and jump at the nearest wolf. Snapping their neck, and slightly enjoying the sound of it, before charging another wolf and doing the same to him. I turned around to see a wolf charging at me before a very loud and commanding growl ripped through the large group of wolves.

Everyone stopped what they were doing, some wolves were frozen in the middle of biting another's neck. Heck, I swear someone stopped mid leap and fell to the ground.

A lot of the wolves from Dark Blood had shifted back into their human form. Our wolves slinked back to the side closest to our pack house. Forming a wall of wolves.

Once I had calmed down a bit. I smelt it. That beautiful smell that seemed to drift directing to me. I wanted to follow the smell, but first I had to shift back.

I went behind a tree, picking out a random shirt from behind a bush with my mouth. I shifted back, throwing the shirt that was way to big over my head and let it fall loosely around me.

I walked back out and saw that some of the men from my pack had shifted back.

Sometimes I loved how we shifted back naked, cause the other pack was gorgeous.

There was that smell again, it smelt like dark chocolate and oranges. Delicious. I looked over to where a beautiful man was walking towards us, his eyes set on me.

My wolf screamed mate at me. Oh god, please no. She was dancing around in my head. Super excited that she had finally met her mate. I, on the other hand, just stood there and scowled at him.

"I'm sorry that we invaded your pack, princess. Even though I'm kind of glad we did, I got to meet you." He ran the back of his hand down my cheek.

I tried not to react, but the sensation I got from him just touching me, well it was amazing. Kieran was purring already, argh she's so weak sometimes.

I pulled away, even though his touch felt amazing. Even Kieran protested. "Why are you invading us?" I ask him, with an angry scowl showing on my face. "What do you want from us?"

"Now? I just want you." He said trying to touch me again, but I just pulled away. I don't want a mate. Especially one who invades my pack.

"You can't have me. You're also invading my pack at the moment, so leave." I say angrily, walking over to my father and his Beta.

The man, who is also my mate, and I believe he is the Alpha of the Dark Blood pack is looking at me in shock. Obviously expecting a mate who will submit to him, I am not that weak, as Beyoncé said, who runs the world? Girls.

"Why did you just touch my daughter! I thought you were invading not here for a gossip session!" My father fumed, yelling at the man.

"I was invading, but as you can tell, we've stopped." He said back, much calmer than my father.

"That still does not explain why you touched my daughter!" My father all but screamed at him.

"I touched my mate, I'm sure you would understand what it's like to meet your match for the first time." He said, his calm starting to unravel. "What is she doing, anyway, a girl like her shouldn't be fighting."

"Any Alpha should fight for their pack, especially when it's being invaded." I said calmly, obviously I'm the only calm one around here.

"Mm, I always knew my mate was going to be special. I didn't think she'd be the only child of an Alpha though." He said in a voice that sent chills down my spin. Stupid mate bond.

"Look, I think you should get off our land. You don't belong here." I said to him, looking at all his men, before my eyes settled back on him, and that was when I realized he was sporting a hard-on. "What the actual fuck!" I cried out.

He just looked at me with a wicked look, not embarrassed in the least. "You look so good in that shirt." He just openly stared at me.

Ok, I officially hated how everyone shifted back naked. I saw everything, and the worst part, it turned me on way more than it should have. I already hate having a mate.

I looked at my dad, he had a smile on his face, already looking at me. "Daddy, please, make them leave," I begged him quietly.

"But he's your mate, sweetheart." His face scrunched up in confusion. I never told him that I didn't want a mate, I told Samuel though.

"Dan, mate, I think it's a bit overwhelming for her. Maybe he should come back when he's fully clothed and talk to Chlo another day." He said quietly.

I watched as my mate walked over to his pack, I think he realized how awkward I was with him just standing there, his part standing there in all its mighty glory. Oh my god, I just said that.

"Chloe, honey, is that what you want?" Dad turned to me. Questions ran through his eyes.

"Yes, dad he just attacked us and now what does he want?" I say in a low voice, a lump forming in my throat. "I don't want him," I said, feeling like crying. "Make him go away. Please." I whisper.

"Okay, anything for you darling." He looked at me before looking across the field at the Dark Blood pack. "Look, Alpha, you just attacked us, do you expect her to want to run off with you? You attacked her pack, she's the alpha. Do you really expect that much?" Dad asked in an angry voice.

By now, the alpha had pulled on a pair of shorts. He looked across and us, confusion clear on his face. "Do you not want to come with me?" He asked, looking at me, even across the field, I had to look away because of the intensity of the look.

So I shook my head and looked back up. He looked furious. "Say it!" He yelled across the field, fury ringing clear in his voice.

"No," I said back, it came out much calmer than I thought it would.

"Fine." He said, shifting and running off into the woods. Oh crap, what have I done, no don't think about it, and so I walked back to the office. Locking the door behind me.

What have I done, to me, and to him? Oh god, I shouldn't have done that. He is my mate, and I practically just told him to fuck off.
