Ethan's POV

By the time I noticed the content on the Internet, things had been brewing for an entire night.

During this period, Gabrielle almost became a ridiculous person for everyone.

I sat in the office with an ugly look on my face, and ordered my subordinates to deal with it, but Gabrielle's personal statement came first.

She posted a photo of Kelly secretly taken on her secondary account with a caption: "Mr. Conner, 'Star' has been stolen. I'm deeply sorry for that. I hired a private detective to investigate it overnight. It is in the possession of your sister, Helen Conner, and she is in Las Vegas. She is gambling in the casino. I hope you know this."

At the end of the statement, she attached a photo of "Star" which had been used by Helen as a collateral on the gambling table.

As soon as Gabrielle made her statement, I was besieged by public opinion. Everyone looked at the ambiguous photos of me and Kelly, and began to scold me for having an affair, saying that I was really immoral.

"Alpha, trouble is coming. Some Pack Members came to know about it, so they protested. They said that you have ruined the reputation of Pack and asked you to get back Luna. What should we do?" My Beta and assistant Tom Parker linked me by mind.

"Nothing! Repel the rumors and appease them!"

"Alpha! Elders are here too! They said they were going to question you face to face. Why did you do that?"

"Tell them that I will handle it well!"

Damn it. For a werewolf, having an affair was the most shameless act! I didn't do anything, but I couldn't clear my name.

"Alpha!" Tom stumbled into my room. I looked at him anxiously. "What's wrong? you can link me by mind."

"Well." Tom took out a few leaflets and handed them to me. "Several cooperative companies owned by werewolves suddenly sent a fax saying that they would cancel the cooperation with us. I asked them for the reason, but they didn't say anything. But it is probably related to Luna."

I widened my eyes and quickly checked the share price of Conner Group. Damn it, it was falling as if it was on a roller coaster!

"Shit!" I pounded the table angrily, and a crack appeared on the stone table.

"Who allowed to use the company's account to send such a message!" I gritted my teeth, my eyes full of anger.

I had no idea about making the divorce public at all.

"It was your mother, Fiona, who gave the order overnight. She said she had informed you." Tom stood there trembling with fear. He was so scared that he didn't even dare to breathe heavily.

"Bang!"

I kicked the chair askew. "When did this company become under my mother's control? Fire all those who know about this!"

Tom replied with a trembling voice, "Yes."

"Contact Twitter and remove the news on the Internet immediately!"

"We tried, but Twitter reported that they wanted to defend their freedom, so no one could withdraw." Tom lowered his head and braced himself to speak.

What the hell! I didn't know that Gabrielle was so capable that the whole Twitter could listen to her obediently! It was also written in the statement that she was going to notice Mr. Conner? Did she really think that I was behind all this? She doesn't know me at all!

Before I could calm down, the phone next to me suddenly rang. When I saw that it was from my mother, I hung up without thinking.

Just because I refused to hunt Gabrielle down, she directly made such a big scandal! If Gabrielle did not find out the whereabouts of "Star", could she only take the blame?

Now Gabrielle must think that I was deliberately slandering her. Her emotionless response seemed to remind me that there was no turning back between us. She used to pester me every day, but now she said that she didn't love me anymore.

The ringtone of the mobile phone was still ringing. I looked at the caller ID again: Donald Conner.

I had no choice but to pick up the call, "Dad."

"Ask Gabrielle to delete the things on the Internet immediately. Don't you think it's shameful enough?" My father's voice was low, and he was obviously suppressing his great anger.

"Ethan! Bring that bitch back quickly. How dare she do this? I must teach her a good lesson!" My mother's angry voice also came.

I closed my eyes and replied in a cold voice, "Did she do anything wrong? It was obviously Helen who took away 'Star'. Why did you frame Gabrielle?"

Compared with Gabrielle's distrust in me, my mother made me angrier. How could she frame Gabrielle at will? I told her clearly at that time that Gabrielle didn't know the password of the safe, so it was absolutely impossible for her to steal the necklace.

After being interrupted by me, my mother argued unwillingly, "How do I know that it was Helen who took it? Wasn't it always in our safe box? Who else would take it except her?"

I tried my best to persuade her. "Mom, it's not too late for you to apologize to Gabrielle now!"

"What? I apologize? The one who should apologize is that bitch, a poor, powerless, and unknown rogue. How dare she let Silver Moon Pack fall into a crisis! Bring her back and see how I will deal with that bitch!" My mother screamed.

"But we're no longer related." I rubbed my forehead and said in a helpless tone.

After hanging up the phone, I tried to call Gabrielle. But she blocked my phone number.

I slammed my phone on the table angrily. "Find out where Gabrielle is at all costs!"
