"How dare you try to tell me what to do?" Judith yelled, pouring the dirty laundry water over Olivia. "I'm your head maid, and you don't tell me what to do! For that, you'll get half the usual breakfast portion today, and make sure you do everything I ask if you want to keep your job. Mind you, Young master Nathan doesn't like to see any single bit of dirt in his room."
Olivia felt humiliated and almost to tears. She had no choice but to obey. Even if she told Mrs. Brooks, they wouldn't believe her because they trusted Judith and she couldn't risk losing her job.
She went straight to Nathan's room, hoping to not find him there. She didn't like him, especially after what happened yesterday.
Luckily, he wasn't there, so she cleaned quickly and left.
In the afternoon, she was sitting in the long corridor when Judith approached her, again.
"Why didn't you clean Young Master Nathan's room?" Judith scolded. "He's not happy and wants to see you. Get ready to be fired! I told you he doesn't like one single bit of dirt in his room but you didn't listen to me."
Terrified, Olivia went to Nathan's room with fear written all over her face. She knocked nervously.
"Come in!" he commanded.
She obeyed and entered the room. She looked around and did not see anyone and fear gripped her. She decided to leave but his voice interrupted her.
"Come to the balcony!" She heard him say and then she walked towards the balcony.
"Are you calling me, Young Master Nathan?" she asked as she got to the balcony.
"Yes, why didn't you clean my room?" he demanded angrily.
"I did clean it this morning," she replied.
"Is that how you clean a room?" he shouted, and looked at her closely before he calmed down. "Wait, I remember, you are the clumsy maid from yesterday."
Olivia felt embarrassed, and looked away.
"No wonder. Go back and clean it properly this time," he ordered sternly.
She felt relieved and shocked that he didn't fire her. But as she went to his room and started cleaning it again, she cursed him in her mind for making her clean a room she had cleaned earlier.
When she finished, she went to the balcony to inform him. "I'm done, young master."
He turned around and looked her up and down, his eyes boring into her as if he could see past her clothes into her naked body and into her soul. "Are you sure you did it properly this time?"
"Yes, I did," she assured him, bowing slightly.
"Show me," he commanded and followed her back into the room to inspect.
"Good," he nodded in satisfaction. "You can go now."
Olivia left his room tired and went straight to her quarters.
When Judith saw her coming out relieved, she frowned and was not happy that Nathan didn't fire her. "What did he say to you?"
"He just asked me to reclean it. That's all." Olivia said.
"Now, follow me. I still have more work for you to do." Judith said rudely.
Olivia didn't complain. She just followed her.

After a long day of working, it was finally night time. Olivia and Daisy were in their room and Olivia told her everything that happened throughout the day.
"Judith is definitely singling me out. I don't know why," Olivia confided in her friend.
"She's just a mean person. Probably jealous of how pretty you are," Daisy reassured her.
She sensed how sad Olivia was, and changed the subject. "So, the Young Master made you clean his room again?" she chuckled.
"Yeah," Olivia sighed.
"You're lucky he didn't fire you."
"Why do you say that?" Olivia asked, confused.
"Because that's what he does. He fires people who don't clean his room properly without hesitation."
"Why's that?" Olivia asked, still puzzled.
"He's a neat freak. Maybe he had dirty sex with Rose last night," Daisy said matter-of-factly.
Olivia blushed. "What kind of human is he? Don't be crude. I thought you said he doesn't bring girls here."
"Yeah, but that Rose is an exception. She's always around him. Mrs. Brooks probably doesn't even know. Maybe she sneaked in at night."
"Nathan's such a jerk. He just lives off his parents' money," Olivia grumbled.
"That's not fair! You don't know him like I do. He's actually really hard-working. He served in some special force, and now he runs his own company, making billions. Sure, he's a womanizer, but everyone has flaws," Daisy defended.
"Wow, I had no idea he was so hard working," Olivia admitted, surprised. "Anyway, I just want to wash up and get some rest. It was really a tough day for me," Olivia said, heading to the bathroom.

It was midnight, and Olivia woke up thirsty. She didn't have water in her room, so she went to the kitchen. She was only wearing lingerie, which didn't cover her body well.
After some hesitation, she decided not to change. It was late, and she doubted anyone would be awake now.
When she got to the kitchen, she was shocked to see Nathan holding a knife, looking like he wanted to hurt himself.
"What are you doing, Young Master?" she shouted, trying to take the knife from him.
"Stay back! It's none of your business," he snapped.
Ignoring him, Olivia insisted on taking the knife.
He got angry. "I said stay back! And why are you here at this time?"
His breath smelled strongly of alcohol. He must have been drinking a lot.
"Why did you drink so much? It's not good for you. And why do you have that knife? Are you trying to hurt yourself?" Olivia asked him as she wrestled the knife from him.
Nathan stared at her, shocked. Eventually, he calmed down as he recognized it was the clumsy maid.
"She left me," he admitted quietly.
Olivia was shocked. She was surprised that the proud Nathan was being vulnerable around her. "What are you talking about, young master? Who left you?"
"Katie." He replied. "She was the love of my life."
"You can talk to me about it. It might help release the burden," Olivia encouraged him.
