Chapter 5 Scary realization

Blair's Subtle Paranoia was infectious, as no one got close to her without getting paranoid too.

She was angry with everyone and everything, she blames everyone for what she thought she had lost, as she would always take time to look at Jayden's torn clothes in her closet.

She made up her mind to go to any length to find out what happened to Jayden, for she refused to believe the tale that he got devoured by a wolf.

She still dreams of him, Well that could be as a result of thinking so much about him, but still, that was enough to tell her that he is still out there somewhere, and he needs her help.

She was in her room as usual, refusing to see anyone, when she got a call from the priest that would have married her to Jayden, she wonders why he was calling, he hadn't called her since after that day, he respected the fact that she says she wants to be left alone, but now, he seem to have forgotten that she still wants to be left alone. Taking a second look at her phone, she reluctantly took her call.

"Hello father! She spoke wearily.

"Come down stairs, there are people I would love for you to meet". He was at her house, and he still had to call her? she shook her head, wondering why people never give up, they would always want to bring her out from her room all the time. Did they think she would kill herself? when she is not bipolar. She slipped into her wine dress, with no strength to get any underwear she walked out hesitantly out of her room.

She stood for a while, watching the people that had accompanied the priest, they look like force men, her heart started racing, she didn't want to let her imagination run wild, but seeing them with brown long envelopes, she could not help but imagine things.

She descended the stairs in a hurry, wanting to hear what they have for her.

"Good morning Blair, it is so good to see you". The priest greeted, but Blair was in no mood for pleasantries, she wanted to get it over with as soon as possible, so she cut to the chase of what she thought might be the news they have in store for her.

"Did you find his body yet? The men exchanged glances, then looked back at her and shook their head, before one of them spoke up.

"I am Scott, and this is my colleague Smart".

"I can see that from your Badges, can you just tell me if you have found my Jayden?

"Oh Blair dear, calm down and listen to them, they have news that could help us find him". Says the priest, who was already looking sober, just watching Blair about to break down.

She sat down close to her mother, waiting for them to start.

"We have reason to believe that the wolves are back here in Atlantica. More than two decades ago, four teenage girls vanished on a crisp autumn night, they were searched for frantically around the entire Atlantica, but were not found, later, their mutilated bodies were found following spring beneath the melting snow of the Sultan district, it was later discovered that they had been beaten by wolves and killed even before they could turn one themselves". Scott paused, as he isn't sure if he should say the next line.

We have reasons to believe that Jayden was beaten by a wolf, and maybe have turned into one himself.

We found wolf like steps that was made in the woods, only a heinous beast like a wolf, could leave such foot mark on the floor". When he did not get a diverse reaction from her, he continued.

He must have been so scared of what he had turned into, that he runs off, even further into the woods, where we have set boundaries for some supernaturals and we cannot cross those lines, for if we do, that would be trespassing". He paused again, waiting for her to react, but she didn't, she was still waiting for him to continue, but he seem to have finished what he came to say, so she looked up, with teary eyes.

"Are you saying that my Jayden have been turned into a wolf?

This time, Smart answered.

"We are saying that Jayden is likely to have turned into a werewolf and there is no way he can come back here, unless when he fully understands what is going on with him and he can comfortable change into his human form at will, and also, Jayden cannot step foot here in Atlantica, because if he does, he would be killed for real, Humans and wolves have nothing in common".

"You have already concluded that he is a wolf, when you are not even sure, it was his foot mark you saw in the woods". Blair got up, glared at them, then spoke up with a last resolve.

Please, don't ever come here to tell me this sort of nonsense again.

Jayden will come back to me, and when he does, you will all eat up your own words".

She was about to leave when Scott spoke up again.

"Have you ever wondered where he is from? Have you ever asked yourself why he never talks about his family? I think he knew they would come for him, and that was why he couldn't tie the knot with a human, he wasn't just beaten, I think he had always been a werewolf, he probably just didn't know it".

"Get out of my house! Blair screams at them, pointing at the door, but they seem to have more to say to her.

"For your own good Blair, don't hesitate to call if you ever see him, he is no longer the Jayden you know, he is dangerous, and even more dangerous to you". With that, they left, and she broke down crying on the floor, while her mother just stood beside her, covering her mouth, as if trying to prevent herself from crying out loud.

Everything was happening too fast, and it was really scary.
