Chapter 4 Not Attracted

ELISE'S POV

Damien's words made me free of all my worries and I couldn't wait to be his just like he wanted.

But at the back of my mind, I knew we could never work.

"No, Uncle Damien! I can never consent to this!" I replied while I pushed him away. I acted like his touch scarred me and like I was disgusted with him.

"But you feel attracted to me, right?" He asked with raised brows. He looked dejected but I wasn't going to let him fool me.

"No, I'm not attracted to you." I lied, smoothly.

"I can never be! I cannot disgrace my parents. Let us keep our relationship strictly business with no strings attached!" I declared and in the next second, I directly walked out of the office.

It was a new day for me and as usual, I walked into the company's building with Damien by my side. Sneaking out of the house has become so easy now.

At this point, I had eyes on me as usual but then there was a shift in the atmosphere.

Everyone looked at me with eyes filled with disgust and it was like they didn't even care if Damien was standing by my side.

"Do you think something is wrong, Damien?" I asked as we approached the private elevator.

He had a frown on his face like he had noticed the looks his employees were giving us. He didn't reply to my question as he looked around. Also, he had been acting distant ever since I turned him down. But then I couldn't be bothered. All I did was to protect our image.

In the next second, I heard ringing sounds on my phone. Several notifications came in and I took it out.

As soon as I tapped on one notification, I froze seeing what was displayed on my screen.

The sound of moans echoed from my phone and I could see my face clearly. I was writhing in pleasure underneath Damien while he was thrusting in and out of me, mercilessly.

"Ahh..." I gasped as the phone fell off my hands. I staggered in shock and fear and Damien went ahead to pick up the phone. He saw everything and just like me, he was in shock.

It was at this moment that the murmurs of the employees flowed into my ears. I felt like I was living a dream.

I didn't know how that happened! I never slept with Damien in my life!

How then did I have sex with him and the video is being broadcast all over?

"So, she is a whore!" An employee said.

"No wonder she was able to climb her way to the top. She made use of what was between her legs!" Another said and they all burst into mocking laughter.

I was in the center of them all and while Damien was left frozen, I was overwhelmed with embarrassment.

I wanted to shout at them and tell them not to judge me but then I couldn't.

I was too ashamed of what I had done.

In the next second, I turned around and ran out of the company building. Tears were already streaming down my eyes at this point. I heard Damien call out to me but I didn't stop.

What will my parents think of me now?

"Mother, father..." I let out those words shakily as I walked into my house still dressed in office clothes.

They were standing in the middle of the living room and I could see that my mother was a crying mess.

"Elise! What have you done?" My mother asked, with a disappointed look in her eyes.

"We warned you! We warned you to stay away from him. But what did you do? You disgraced us!" She continued to say and her words weighed me down greatly.

My head was downcast and I went down on my knees sharply.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, mother. Please, forgive me. I'm innocent. I don't know what happened." I pleaded, in between tears.

I looked toward my father and he shot me a look full of hatred.

"You disgust me, Elise!" He declared and I sobbed even louder.

"From now on, you are no longer my child! I forbid you from stepping even an inch closer to me or my wife!" He declared and I gasped, in shock.

"No! No! Father, please don't do this to me! It's not my fault!" I said, quickly with a desperate tone.

"You should have known better than moaning beneath that bastard!"

"Get out! You are no longer needed here!" He thundered.

Before I knew it, my bags were thrown out and I was pushed out of the house.

I banged continuously on the door but I got no answer. I only aroused the neighbor's curiosity. They had all seen everything that happened and I couldn't be more embarrassed.

Right now, my family had forsaken me and now I could only turn to Damien for help. The reporters were also looking all over the place for me and I had to disguise myself by covering half of my face.

Soon, I was at Damien's house and it was past working hours. I had access to the house and it was easy for me to walk in.

At this point, I met Damien sitting under the dim lights in his living room.

He had a bottle of alcohol in hand and he looked so lost.

"Damien..." I called out to him, dropping my bags and rushing toward him.

As he turned to look at me, he gave me a cold, nonchalant gaze and I halted my steps. I was shocked at his reaction, not knowing what was about to befall me.
