"It's good to hear that you're sleeping well. Just actually called you to intentionally ruin your sleep. Now I'm happy to hear your voice. Good night." he promised on the other line and he really looked happy.
"What are you really abnormal?!" I screamed in annoyance.
I heard him laugh. Ugh. What is really his problem? I can hear some noise from the background of the other line. Wait, don't say he's at a bar and drunk?
"I miss you. I miss you so much." He whispered and later I heard his soft sobs. I immediately felt some pain in my chest.
"S-Sol, are you okay?" I asked nervously.
"I can't take this anymore. Will you please come back? Come back to me, please." He promised.
I covered my mouth. I didn't think that the pain I caused him because of his separation with Aliyah was so great.
"Sol..." I called him.
"Aliyah, it hurts. It really hurts. Please, I'm begging you. Just love me again, please? I don't want to be alone anymore. I don't want to get hurt again. Please, Aliyah. Please."
I feel so guilty about the words I hear from him. I want to hug him so that he feels that he is not alone.
"Sol, I'm not Aliyah." I promise.
"No, please. Don't push me away. Not again, please? Don't leave me. I don't want to be alone again. I don't want this. Please. Please come back."
"Sol, I'm sorry." I promise.
"Aliyah, please." He begged.
I held my breath. I have no choice. If I have to say it to ease his pain I will.
"Sol." I called him. "Just please forget about me. I want you to be happy."
"No, I can't." He answered crying.
I know it's crazy to pretend to be Aliyah but if this is what I can do to help Sol, I'll do it to at least make up for what I did to her.
"I know this is hard for you, but I'd be the happiest person in the world if I see you happy again."
"Listen, I am not worthy of your tears. You don't deserve someone like me. You deserve someone better. I want you to be happy, Sol. And when that time comes, I'll be really happy for you."
I closed my eyes. This totally sucks. I feel like I'm cheating on him. I feel like I'm playing with his feelings.
"Is that what you really want, Aliyah?" he asked.
"Sol, if you really love me, please be happy. Please forget about me. Please move on," I answered.
"But I love you so much." she answered crying.
The pain in my chest increased even more. I can't play with him anymore. I can't fool him anymore.
I held my breath. "Sol, I'm sorry. This isn't Aliyah." I already promised. "This is Renesmee." my introduction
"W-What?" He asked in shock.
"I'm sorry." I promised and then hung up on him.
I held my forehead. It seems that my guilt towards him has increased again.
âââ
I looked behind me to make sure no one was following me. I'm like a paranoid constantly looking behind me as well as around. when I saw the gate of Tan Siu I immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Looks like I can get home without Sol bothering me. It's strange, why haven't I seen even his shadow?
My class is over and I'm going home but Sol is still not looking for me and yelling at me now. This is good too. I don't even know how to deal with him after the stupid thing I did last night. I just shook my head. I must get him out of my mind. Maybe he's tired of people like me so he won't bother me anymore.
When I finally got out of the big gate of Tan Siu, I looked behind me again, no one had followed me. I immediately smiled weakly. it seems that there is no broken hearted to trouble me.
I turned back to where I was going, but I immediately stopped. Gradually, the weak smile on my lips disappeared. I almost held my breath when I saw him. he was leaning against the black car while wearing shades and wrapped in a jacket. He looked at his wrist watch and then got ready.
I bowed my head and simply walked to the side where he wouldn't notice me. I kept my head down and didn't look in his direction because he would surely notice me and see me.
I was slowly walking away but I was stopped when a man wearing men's shoes stopped in front of me. when I smelled his perfume, I was horrified. Dead.
I slowly raised my head and his face immediately opened to me. He removed the shades he was wearing and stared at me.
"Trying to escape, huh?"
I straightened up and forced myself to swallow.
"Escape? Me?" I taught myself. "No, why would I do that?" I asked with a forced laugh.
He just kept looking at me seriously so I completely stopped laughing. I coughed and looked at him awkwardly.
"You think I'm some kind of a joke, huh?" he asked clearly angry.
I forced myself to swallow again. I feel like I have swallowed my tongue.
"Stop playing with other people's feelings. It is no fun." He promised seriously and then he turned his back on me and walked to his car.
"Hey wait," I stopped but he didn't stop and continued walking.
I chased him and tried to stop him. I grabbed his arm to make him face me but I was surprised when he suddenly grabbed my hand that was holding him and pulled it away. he faced me and kept holding my hand tightly.
"You don't have any right to touch me," he promised.
I withdrew my hand and raised it in surrender. "Fine. I won't touch you," I promised. "But can you listen to me first before you get angry?"
he averted his gaze but did not answer whether he was willing to listen to me or not. I just held my breath.
"It was all for you, okay? You called me. I said I wasn't Aliyah but you insisted on calling me such name. I had no choice. I wanted you to move on, so I tried saying those comforting words. I thought that it might help." I explained.
"Comforting words? You call those words comforting? Do you even have any idea how painful those words are to me?"
"Look, I may not be Aliyah, but I'm pretty sure she'll tell you the same thing. I just did her a favor." I answered directly.
"What?!" He asked annoyed. He didn't seem to expect my answer.
"I'm just saying that for sure Aliyah doesn't want you to get hurt because of her. he wants you to forget him. He wants you to be happy."
He laughed hard. "That's easy for you to say because it wasn't you who was left behind. It's me," he said and then turned his back on me.
"Wait." I stopped. "I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have said that. I just wanted to help you. I'm just trying to give you some advice," I explained.
He faced me with a frown. "Piece of advice? Even the owner isn't being followed by this heart. What's more with your piece of advice?" He seemed to ask insultingly.
I smiled mischievously. "Okay. Yes. I will not insist that I am right. You're happy now?"
I was surprised when instead of answering me, he took out a paper from his pocket and handed it to me. Curious, I picked it up and read what was written on it. Sol's name is here on the outside of the envelope. Wait, is that an invitation card? I opened it and saw that it was indeed an invitation.
"From Aliyah?" I asked in shock.
"Be my date." He answered with no connection.
My eyes widened and I looked at him in surprise. I taught myself. "W-What did you say?" I asked in disbelief.
"Let's buy your clothes for the party." He answered distantly and then held my hand.
"W-Wait!" I stopped but he forced me into his car. Ugh! What's wrong with him?!
âââ
I looked at him evilly while he was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine. So, I have to try on the clothes in the shop that he brought me and I will show him if it suits me or not?
"I didn't agree to be your date, so why do I have to measure a dress here, huh?"
He stopped reading and looked at me coldly. "I heard you need one million and a half. It is a debt you have to pay, right?"
"W-What?!" I asked in shock.
"I'm willing to give you one million and a half."
My eyes widened when I heard. "A-are you serious?" I asked in disbelief.
He looked back at the magazine he was reading and then answered me. "Be my date and you'll have your money. Easy as that," he replied.
oh my God. He's a blessing in disguise! Thank you lord!
"Where are the clothes I'm supposed to try on?" I asked quickly.
I saw his lips form a small smile. Psh! Tricky! He knows how he'll get what he wants.
"We're here, Ma'am," said the saleslady and led me into a fitting room.after I put on a dress, I went out of the fitting room to show him if he thought it suited me or not, but he didn't look at me and seemed to be busy reading a magazine. I did it repeatedly until I finished measuring all the clothes, but every time I went out to show him what I was wearing, he didn't look at me. Ugh! He's annoying.
I approached him. "What are you reading and you don't even check if what he measures is suitable for your future date?" I asked annoyed and grabbed the magazine he was holding. But I was stunned when I saw who was in the magazine. I looked back at him and he couldn't look at me.
"S-Sorry." I have said a few times.
"It's okay." He answered coldly and looked at me. "Are you finished?" He asked and then stood up.
I nodded to him. He forced a smile at me. "Alright. I'll take everything." he answered.
"Why would you take everything, you didn't even check if-"
"They all fit you." He answered before I even finished speaking. I immediately felt both my cheeks heat up.
I followed him with my eyes as he started walking towards the counter. I sighed and looked again at the magazine I was holding. Aliyah's smiling face is placed there while her interview about her breakup with Sol is placed below. I didn't know he was also an actor. Ugh. With the many magazines he could read, why this one?
I hurriedly put the magazine on the table when I saw him leaving the shop. I immediately chased after him and caught up with him outside.
"Here." He promised me when I left the shop. He handed me the paper bags that contained our purchases.
"Wait.don't tell me I'll be the one to lift all of this?" I asked in shock.
"If not, who else will carry them?" He answered while grinning and walked away first.
I just followed his back as he walked away. Is this how he avenges me? I was wearing heels and he lifted me with so many paper bags. He will take revenge very much! Ugh!
"Better hurry up." He ordered.
I immediately started chasing him and I looked like a fool following him. As I followed him, I noticed many people looking at him. almost everyone looked at him when he passed. Take note, he's still in disguise, right? His ex is really strong.
I was just looking behind him while following him and I was just surprised when he suddenly stopped so I bumped into his back and dropped the things I was carrying.
"Ugh! What's wrong with you?" I asked annoyed.
I was about to speak again but I was stopped when someone called his name. A calm and angelic voice.
"Sol." It called him. I looked in front of us and saw a very beautiful woman.
"A-Aliyah." Sol said in shock.
"Small world. what are you doing here?" he asked with a smile.
"I shopped with Renesmee." The smile he had immediately disappeared and he looked at me.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't notice you were with someone." He said with a hint of sadness.
"It's okay." Sol replied coldly.
Aliyah nodded and then tried to smile. "So how, I'll just see you tonight?" he asked.
"Yes, sure. See you."
I looked at Sol's hand. His fist was clenched. Ugh. I remembered her begging again last night. if Aliyah is the one he called, will he be able to convince her to come back to him?
"Let's go." Sol said while looking at me.
"A-Ah. Alright." I answered a few times. I hurriedly picked up the paper bags that I had dropped earlier.
"Nice meeting you here, Aliyah." he promised and then walked away first.
I looked at him bowing. "Good bye, Aliyah." I said goodbye to him and then hurried after Sol.
When I caught up with him, I immediately blocked his path.
"What?" He seemed annoyed and looked away from me.
"You alright?" I will ask.
I was surprised when he suddenly forced a laugh.
"So are you asking because you're curious?" He seemed to ask insultingly.
I immediately frowned. "No," I answered. "I asked because I care."
He stopped and stared at me. He immediately averted his gaze and then turned his back on me.
"See you tonight." He said and then walked away first. So now, after he kidnapped me, he's just going to leave me? A different class.
âââ
I was bored and looked at my cellphone to check what time it was. I sighed and looked at the people who were busy with their own. I looked at the plate in front of me and played with the food I took but I still couldn't eat because I was waiting for Sol to be together. He suddenly disappeared and left me. I hope he doesn't want me to be a date anymore if he just leaves me. Ugh!
I looked around again but I still couldn't see even his shadow. I can't even smell her perfume. Even Aliyah, who is the star of this party, I couldn't see either. can they both be together? As far as I know, this is a party for Aliyah's fifth anniversary in showbiz. He's been an actor for five years but why don't I know him?
"Oh my gosh!" I screamed and immediately stood up from my seat as a cold juice poured on my clothes.
"Oops." said the woman who looked like she intended to pour on me. He smiled teasingly and raised an eyebrow at me.
"What is your problem?!" I asked annoyed. After struggling for two hours to choose what to wear to this party, he's just going to stain me?!
I noticed that other people close to us were looking at us. Ugh!
"It's too bad, Miss. I've already apologized but you're still yelling at me? Don't you know how to accept an apology?!" He seemed to be crying. And why is she shouting?! And what?!
"You apologized?! Are you kidding me?! you just said ooppss and gave me a wicked smile. Are you trying to make a scene?!" I shouted. More and more people were watching us. Ugh!
I was surprised when he suddenly started crying. What is she doing?!
"Hey, what's wrong here?"
I looked at Sol who came to me. "Are you okay?" he asked the girl crying in front of me.
"That girl is just like you. I didn't mean to spill juice on her but she yelled at me and humiliated me." She answered Sol crying.
"Excuse me?!" I promise I'm surprised.
Sol immediately looked at me.
"Wait, it's Sol!" shouted the person not far from us. I was surprised when suddenly there was a camera flash from everywhere. What's happening?
"Shh." Sol whispered.
I was surprised when he removed his coat and immediately wrapped it around my head as if hiding me. he suddenly pulled me to leave but the crowd grew more and more and crowded us.
"Mister Sol, you're here too. Can we interview you about your breakup with Miss Aliyah?"
"Mister Sol, wait!" They shouted and tried to squeeze us. the blinding camera flash was still on.
I felt him hug me and rest my head on his chest.
"Let us go, please." He seemed to be begging the reporters.
Is he really this famous to confuse reporters? Terrible. I can feel them squeezing me! Someone else helped us to block the reporters. We immediately took the elevator.
"What are you doing?" He asked when I took off my shoes.
"I'm escaping with you, isn't it obvious?"
"Yeah, but why are you taking your shoes off?"
"Because I can't run with these four inch heels." I answered and raised my shoes.
He immediately laughed. "You're enjoying it, aren't you?" he asked.
"It's my first time, okay? Yeah I'm confused but not this way. I feel like a super star too. you see, they've been dying to capture a photo of me. I didn't know you were that famous." I answered and tormented him.
He laughed again and when the elevator opened we immediately ran to the parking lot where his car was. we quickly got into his car and then he drove it away.
I held my breath. "I think I ruined her party." I whispered. "I didn't know that was going to happen. I didn't-"
"It's okay." He replied coldly while seriously focusing his attention on the road.
"Aren't you going to listen to my explanation?"
I was surprised when he suddenly pulled the car aside and stopped it. He looked at me seriously and I was surprised when he suddenly approached me. I immediately leaned on the seat and stopped breathing, but he just put my seat belt on.
he sat up and looked at me. "It's not you who ruined it. I shouldn't have left you there. It was my fault." He answered.
I leaned back properly in the chair and looked outside. "Why did you disappear? Why did you leave me there?" I asked and then snorted.
"Are you mad?"
I looked at him. "I'm not." I answered and then looked outside.
I looked back at him in shock when he started the car again. So that's it? He just asks if I'm mad and when I say no it's like nothing happened? Is he really insensitive or what? maybe that's why Aliyah left him. Ugh.
He continued driving until he stopped his car when we reached a place where there was a small bridge and a river. I don't know where it is but I just got here. I feel like he took me to a place far from reality.
Without another word, he got out of the car and went to the bridge. I was just looking at him from the car. He sat on the bridge with his feet dangling but not reaching the river. he just watched the water flow below the bridge. He seems to be deep in thought. I followed and sat next to him.
He looked at me. "Wanna sail a boat?" He suddenly asked.
"Huh? But it's dark already. Isn't it dangerous?"
"Come on." He agreed and pulled me.
I looked at my hand that he was holding as we went to the bottom of the bridge where a boat was. I felt my cheeks heat up. He let go of my hand when we got close to the boat. I immediately averted my face when he looked at me. Ugh. What is happening to me?
he pushed the boat into the river. I thought he was about to get on the boat but not yet. He came to me and supported me. He looked at my feet before I got on. I'm still barefoot. He suddenly laughed.
"What's funny?" I will ask
"I laugh when I remember what we did earlier." He answered and then ruffled my hair.
My heart beat quickly. "Can I ask you something?" I will ask.
"You already did."
I held my breath. "Why are you being nice to me?"
"Am I? I will never be nice to you. you got nothing to worry." He answered.
I seem embarrassed. I nodded and he helped me get into the boat and then he. He started rowing. The quiet. I closed my eyes. The air feels good. Very relaxing.
"You think we are not the perfect two?"
I woke up and looked at him in shock. "What? Us?"
He laughed suddenly. "I mean Aliyah and I."
"Oh.." I answered. "I don't know. How would I know?"
Suddenly his face became serious. "Because you were right." He answered.
"What do you mean?" Wrinkled when I asked.
"I talked to her earlier and she said the same things you've said. I just wasted my time."
I frowned even more when he bent down.
"She said I should move on. She said I don't deserve her. She said I deserve someone better. She said she'll be happy to see me moving on. she said I shouldn't wait for her anymore." He laughed hard while telling the story.
He looked up at the sky and then smiled. "And it was a suicide for me hearing those words coming from her."
"But why are you still smiling?" I asked wonderingly.
He looked at me seriously. "Because it's better to let go with a smile than to hold on with tears."
