Chapter 2 MATE

I paced angrily around my sitting room, waiting impatiently for my men to give me a call, Ximena had gone too far this time, this very moment was crucial for me and she thought she could just back down, and run away from me, after making a deal with me, never, I'll make sure to find her, and bring her back here.

I picked up the incoming call immediately after the first ring, hoping they'd brought good news.

I've sent my men to search around for Ximena and bring her back to me at all costs, no matter what it takes Ximena must be found at all costs, even if it means tearing the whole kingdom down, they must bring her back, finding another replacement will be a problem.

"Alpha, we just found Lady Ximena." Clover had informed me over the phone and I found myself sighing in relief, she's finally been found, she thought she could hide from me forever.

"Bring her to me.." I disconnected the call, tossing my phone away, I'm gonna deal with Ximena she should know I'm not the one to mess with.

My men dragged a struggling Ximena into the room, as she kept yelling for them to set her free.

"Let me go!!" She yelled, how dare she?" She dared to speak after trying to play me for a fool. She must have forgotten for a split second the kind of person I am, probably I've been too lenient with her.

I took heavy steps to where she was, and I wrapped my hands around her neck pinning her to the wall. She would never try anything stupid after I taught her a lesson.

"You really have the guts, huh.." I scoffed in sarcasm, and I took a good look at the woman gasping for breath in front of me, while I choked her, she's definitely looking different today, she must have really wanted to run away from here and break the deal.

"You think you can go extra lengths to get away from me don't you?" I questioned meaningfully, she had changed her eye color, it was not the usual brown ones, but now they were Hazel, same with her black hair, which was now darker in color, she had probably thought she could play smart, but I don't care about any damn hair color.

I finally removed my hands from her neck, before I killed her, though I would have loved to kill her, for ever trying to deceive me, but right now, she's very much useful.

The wedding was today and it was going to happen no matter what!

"How dare you Ximena?" my eyes blazed in anger, I punched my fist on the wall as the area I punched cracked.

She trembled in fright, shaking like a chicken who's been drenched in the rain, well that's how it's supposed to be when anyone is around me. I was Enid Gayle. The most feared Alpha King in the whole of all werewolf kingdoms.

"Don't ever think of crossing me again Ximena Landon" I spelled out, warning her in a menacing tone, sending deadly glares at her.

"Or else, you will regret the day you were born, I'm only letting you go because of the wedding" I threatened and my threat seemed to have worked, as I noticed her body stiffen, she was intimidated by me.

"Damn you to hell.." I gritted my teeth in frustration, running my hands through my hair,

"I promise you the next time you try something stupid, you'll get punished.." I stated in a stern voice.

"Severely.." I added with a loud growl.

"You think trying to change your looks or anything will help?" I smacked my lips in anger, trying to control myself, taking a look at her, she stood quietly, with her head facing down, and she trembled, she looked visibly shaken. I must have gone too far, but she deserves that, she deserves all of it.

"You can try running away again.." I muttered, picking up a document as I threw it to her which she caught in time, with shaky hands.

"Sign the documents.." I ordered.

"Don't forget you've agreed on the deal before, so there's no backing down, no matter what..." I said to her in a stern voice, this was a marriage contract between the both of us, a marriage that was going to last for a hundred days.

I'm getting married not because I want to, but because I have to buy because the pack elders requested that I get married.

I hadn't found my mate yet so I opted for a marriage contract with Ximena and that was going to last for just a hundred days.

"I..I.." she began, stammering in a low voice.

"Don't even think of it.." I snapped at her in anger, pointing my index finger at her and my guards stepped away, a little far from where Ximena and I stood.

They sure didn't want to get a taste of my wrath, they're all aware of how ruthless I can be. Ximena was so lucky that I was being nice to her, or she would have gotten a very brutal punishment from me.

"Not another word from you Miss Ximena Landon" I drew out, word by word, I was so infuriated by her actions, she couldn't ruin my plans with just a stupid action of hers, and that's what I would never allow to happen, not after coming this far.

"Not another word, give her a pen.."I instructed Clover who stepped forward and he gave her a pen.

"Sign it.." I said to her, she slowly collected the pen from Clover, obviously shaken, scared, and intimidated as she opened the documents, scanning through them, with a curious look on her face, she had this look on her face, but that was none of my business, she should sign the papers and get done with all of this drama.

"I can't sign this, I'm not Ximena.." I heard her utter in a very low and snaky voice.

"What the f*ck are you talking about?" I yelled in anger as I raised my hand to hit her but I stopped midway as I suddenly felt an intense emotion within me.

She was not Ximena but rather she was my mate.
